Kari smiled at Jami's statement, she had felt there was something he was hiding but unsure what. Though it was against the Jedi code to love, he had not admitted to being in love.
You are correct Love and Passion are different, but they tend to go hand in hand. Kari thought for a moment to attempt to think of an example Jami would understand. However there was only on she could think of, no matter how bitter the memory was. Kari turned and watched the sun set, unsure wether to speak or not. After a few moments she thought it best to tell him. Jami you were there when the temple was attacked. You remember Zeth, how enraged he got when someone would attack...me? Zeth left the jedi because he couldn't control his dark side, it wasn't passion that drove him but his love. But the idea of lossing someone he cared about was more then he could take. Yes, some jedi are able to love and not fall but look at all the ones that have. For how weak the order is right now we can not risk someone like that happening now, that is why love is outlawed.

There is a flip side to everything, your actions could be light or dark. The emotion you feel doesn't matter, it's how you control it." He shrugged. "But I still don't understand why Master Sephiroth has the Temple on lockdown. The galaxy isn't going to stay on hold because Master Sephiroth doesn't want the Jedi to do their jobs."

It's clear you have learned much of the jedi history. Then you know very well that one force user can change everything. Master Sephiroth wants everyone to fully understnad our duty before we go out and help others, beucase if we don't we will only cause more pain.

Jami's expression softened quite a bit, and his rigid stance relaxed significantly. "You wouldn't expect me to know a fair bit of Jedi history after spending more than half my time in the Archives? It's fascinating, to say the least."

So you understand then. If we are not ready, if the padawans do not understnad why we do what we do then we could cause alot of damage to the worlds we go to. That is why we are not to leave the temple.

Your doing it right now. Learning more of the code and understanding. The best thing that can be done right now is continue to practice and learn as much as you can. Your training with... Kari had to think for a moment she knew the name of Adonis's other padawan, but she had to think hard to remember it, Alyssa right? You can help Adonis by helping her push herself and understand the force. It is many times better to train two padawans at once because they will always want to keep up with one another.

Fina Xanth Fina turned and looked at Eldin. "Oh... Hello Eldin." She said, smiling and turning back to look out into the City. "How are you? Everything alright?" She asked, not facing him, but clearly directing her words at him. He nodded, even though she couldn't see him. "Yes... I just wanted to visit. How are you?"

Fina kept her smile, looking up slightly. "I'm alright..." She said. "Just a little on edge... A little concerned." She continued, then turned to face Eldin. "There's just... a feeling I can't seem to shake. I guess it's the reason i'm standing here..." She finished.
