I'm gonna learn how to play flute this summer, is it hard to learn? o.o
It can be.
But, once you get your Embachure right, it'll get easier.
I took private lessons when I first started,
But then I was able to help the begginers at school, and it helped a lot to have a fingering chart, and a Circle of Fifths, with all your scales.
We used the Essential Elements books, for the first year.
But,
I say once you get through that,
Buy some other books and try to play some of the practice warm-up scale pieces.
You may think that the scales aren't that important, but they are...
Trust me.
It amuses me the people in band who don't know their scales and try to play a piece of music in a random minor that they've never even heard of before...
xD.
But, playing the flute is really fun.
I love it.
I feel really good when I play a piece right.
Oh, and warning: when you first start to learn, you might get light headed...
xD.
And blow down and accross at the same time.
xD.
That sounds difficult but once you get the hang of it, it's easy!

It's amazing.
I also play Piccolo, and it's a bit differnent with the Embachure and all.
But both are fun.
