The pipes here were too close to the wall to hide behind, but the Grand Armor was facing away at the moment.

That worked. The machine was way too noisy for him to hear them. Paul was quite certain that he couldn't pose as a Grand Armor pilot. Could he? He could turn in Marco then free him, like Star Wars or something. Of course, that went off well in the movie. And there were only two of them. He needed to find a way to signal Darius to start shelling this place, too.
Either way, he indicated to Marco to follow, then took off at a quiet quiet sprint, looking for somewhere safe to go, and if there was no where, a way to hide behind the Grand Armor.

There was a box at the end of the hallway. It was large. It was metal. It served no apparent purpose.
But it was there.

What did this place think he was, Solid Snake?
He indicated the box and sprinted for it. Upon arrival, he checked for watchers and tried to lift the box so as to hide under or within or something like that.

Either it was too heavy to lift or it was attached to the ground, but either way, it was big enough that he, Marco, and another person could easily hide behind it.

Paul shrugged and ducked behind it. Keep moving, though; he needed to keep moving. For the moment he'd wait. They probably had facial descriptions about to be circulated; they probably should've killed the engineer. That would've been a little harsh though.

((First, you did kill the engineer. Second, you left through the only exit of that room. Third, you're hiding at the end of the hallway with the headquarters, in a corridor that has no features except for the box at the end.))

Marco sat easily behind the box, apparently uncaring that they were in some sort of danger.

((Well, a punch to the throat might've been relatively gentle. He might not've died.
Second, how does that relate?
Third, "hallway with the headquarters"?))

((Er. Living quarters. <_< I can't say anything more about this, but let's just say... you can get a hint at one of the things you've wondered about regarding 27 on this mission. And you're right next to finding out. razz
I'm too easy on you guys.
And if you left through the only exit, and you haven't seen the guy follow you, how could he have reported you, if he was even alive? And you collapsed his trachea, he's DEAD.))

((Yes, we left via the only exit, but if he had survived (which he so could've if Marco weren't punching in his trachea but merely giving it a tickle) he would've known how they looked. It's in the box, huh?)) Paul had a strange, strange idea. What was the box here for? Perhaps... perhaps they stored something explosive in here? Gosh, that would be a real tactic-fixer. He opened up the toolbox and began to look for a utility knife or something. If not that then he'd have to take off his fancy hat and try using the Earthdrill. ((Edit: Also, this.))

((It might be. <_<; *Ahem*))
There was a utility knife in the toolbox, but the metal block had no apparent place to apply said knife.

((Ha, outta curiosity how bad do you think the art sucks?))
Paul shrugged, doffed his hat, and produced the iPod, keeping the mana signature muted as possible while generating a drill and starting to make a hole.

SCRKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
That... wasn't a good sound.
Well. He, uh. Had a hole. There was darkness beyond it. But, uh, every Knight in the building had probably heard that screech.

Eh he he. The doors had gone easier. That was weird.
Either way, he prepared to play a little game as soon as possible. "Marco, can you hide very, very quickly?" he inquired quietly, using Shadow spells on his iPod to illuminate the inside of the room. The old MultiPaul trick might come in handy here too.
