Wild Cards Jami headed out of the training room where Alyssa was, and he saw Renii standing with her pet. In her hands was a crimson lightsaber. It surprised Jami quite a bit, since everyone equated red with the Sith. He headed over to Renii and tapped her on the shoulder. "A credit for your thoughts?" "Just the downfall of the civilized jedi knights." She extinguished her saber. K'tana walke dup to Jami and barked a greeting. "Their lost from the force. Sephiroth cares more about rules and ediquit than the force."

Jami sighed lightly and headed away from Renii. He walked to the balcony of the Temple and gazed out at the city. The Jedi Order was pitifully weak right now. Three Knights and a Master was not the most incredible Order he had ever heard of. The only other times it had been this bad were during the Jedi Civil War and the Jedi Purge. But somehow the Order had always seemed to rebuild itself. Jami sighed and shook his head. The future was uncertain, and always difficult to perceive. But somehow it always came around full circle to harmonize with the past. He turned around and nodded. "Yes, I was thinking the same thing. But things will hopefully get better."

Kari had left the training room after letting her padawan get some rest. She still had zeths letter in her robes from before, she felt now would be a good time to look for Renii, if she was still around. It did not take kari long to find her, speaking to jami. Kari over heard a small part of the conversation as she came up to them, she only could make out that it was about Master Sephiroth.
Problems? Kari asked walking up to Jami and Renii.

Jami turned and bowed to Kari, then straightened and shrugged. "Perhaps, Master. Renii and I were just discussing our philosophies on the Jedi was all."

Ah, Kari said, she understood what he was ment. Many jedi have questioned the code, even Kari herself had her own feelings about it.
The jedi code is not perfect, but there is much that can be learned. What is the problem you feel the code has?

"One thing that really makes me question the morality of the Jedi. 'There is no emotion'. That makes it seem like the Jedi are mindless drones with no thoughts other than unquestionable service to the Order. If we're supposedly the great guardians, then why don't we have individual personalities? And with mindless drones, the Council, were it corrupt, could do what it wanted with no questions. Which is why I'm concerned about Master Sephiroth as the only Master left rather than a Council."

There is no Emotion; There is Peace. This is more to help one control their emotions. Emotions can cloud your judgement and cuase one to fall. Master Sephiroth believes in the old was, and holds true to the code. Try to understand so many have fallen because they were unable to control themselfs.

"Yes, Master, I know. But there are also cases where the teachings of the old ways have led to the near destruction of the Jedi. The Jedi Civil War is an example of this."

There is always more that goes on then what is writen down for history. I have learned some of the Jedi Civil war, however looking back most of them fell to the dark side, thus consumed by their emotions. Emotions can be a power allie and your worse enemy, just because you can control your emotions now does not mean it you will be able to control them at all moments. You much have noticed your, the stronger you become in the force the more of the dark side you feel.

Jami thought about this for a long moment, then shook his head. "No, not really. I've never used the Force for anything other than good deeds. Perhaps there is no dark side? Because I have yet to experience it. Or perhaps it's just that I haven't used the Force very much since I've only ever used it in training. I've only been on one minor strike mission; the rest of the time I've been a Jedi, I've been training here."

It's not uncommon for a padawan to have yet to feel the dark side. Trust me when I say, it is something you would be best to never feel. Any emotion of angry or hate makes it strong, your judgement of good and evil become lost in the sea of emotions you have fallen into. The time will come when you must face the full dark side of the force, and then you will see. Then you will understand we do not fight the Sith, or Dark Jedi, We do not fight the empirer or anyone else. The one thing we are always fighting, is the dark side.

"But what about the Potentium? Have you heard of it? It states that there is no light or dark side, but how the Force is used determines corruption and redemption. It also states that the Jedi dislike this theory since it means that they would have no evil to fight, and would thus lose their purpose. I've never used the Force for any evil deeds. Perhaps the Pontentium view is more accurate?"

Zeth, he was a neutral jedi. To not hold yourself to either side but to stand in the middle. It is true that life is not black and white, you will learn this more clearly once you start going on missions. It's not that the jedi hate it, why would someone seek to learn skills from the dark side? skills only used to hurt people. The idea is that there is no good or evil, the is true many jedi believe this. That everything is based on a persons point of view, to you learning skills to hurt people may not be bad but for someone else it might be. To a Dark Jedi, killing to gain something isn't bad, but to the jedi it is. Again point a veiw, why does this believe in controling your emotions so much if you havn't felt the dark side? And what is it about Master Sephiroths feels for the code concern you anyway?

"My problems with Master Sephiroth's code are that the code doesn't seem moral. For example, if there is no emotion, then what about love? I can see how love could be distracting, but how could it be truly evil? Passion I can understand, but passion and love are not the same thing."
