mystic_emerald YES!! UBC's first snow day since I arrived there lol. For the past years UBC is usually one of the few schools that remain open while most schools are closed due to snow. Maybe it's because we have a new president. ^^ how much snow do u need for a snow day??

yenyit Pistil yenyit Pistil yenyit Pistil I haven't worn a patch since like grade 1 or something. >< Don't really need another surgery, my eye can't get much better than it already is. It took me a while after the surgery before I could consciously use my left eye without closing my right eye first, now I do it without thinking (I especially like going "Left eye, right eye, left eye, right eye. Left right left right leftrightleftrightleftright BOTH" to my friends as they watch me switch eyes, creeps them out). The only thing my left eye can't do is read things up close - like a book - because my right eye wants to take over so I get double vision and lose my spot. stare The fact that my eyes are always halfway closed (mentioned before) helps hide the fact that they aren't quite aligned. My lab partner didn't want to do the incision. mad But then there's also the: *lift muscle gently out of place to view bone underneath* Me: *tears muscle out with tweezers* twisted my cousin had to wear a patch like...last year?...not anymore...I think...close and open each eye on it's on?..yeah that would be so cool yet creepy to watch sweatdrop ...read with one eye open xd ...bifocals?...and...where you supposer to take the muscle out? o.o...does your partner know about your depth perception problem? sweatdrop I can do that too - but I just mean switching eyes. Once someone can see that my eyes aren't straight, they notice when I switch eyes. so..what do you mean by they aren't straight?...not the same eye strength?...eyes actually aren't the same height on each side of the face? sweatdrop One eye will be looking directly at you, the other will be looking elsewhere - but not far... like... your ear. XD ooo...you can be "CAMELEON GIRL!"...defender...of...something surprised I'm too lazy to be a super hero. And I don't have a super fast tongue rofl But I am trying to train my eyes to move independently like a chameleons. ninja

There's no such things as snow days in Winnipeg. Our snow removal system is too awesome. The only thing that stops anything is if the school busses can't start in the morning, the bussed kids get to stay home unless they're parents drive them or they walk.
I've always been within walking distance, which somehow made me walk a mile in -45 weather and 3 feet of snow one year. gonk
But now that I'm in University, it's worse. I take public trans to school, which ALWAYS run - just delayed lol. And the U NEVER closes. One time my mom made me stay home, next class I learned that the prof didn't teach anything because only 5 people showed up.
