The plan would work she was sure of it. Or at least she was telling herself that to make herself focus. It was hard to even get anywhere what with him grabbing to her like he was and with her still being a tad on the weakish feeling side. Though just as they were heading up the last few steps after the last landing before the full deck she gave a yelp as he yanked on her, making her stumble a little before knocking into him and pushing them both back against the 'wall' in the bend of the stairs at the landing, though it seemed that was right where he wanted her to be. Briefly her mind focused on less than appropriate things right now.

She wanted to kick herself for thinking such a way but...her eyes were drawn to the light wisps of steam that were rising into the air. Where? Wait...that was them? How was? His body was definitely like an inferno but at it was like being against him was more or less evaporating the heat out of him. What was really odd was that she felt something inside of her click...like when she was in natural form and her body's temperature cooled to accommodate her ice breath so it didn't melt before it left her body. But they couldn't do anything elemental or magic like this...right? That's what she'd been taught...but it was the exact same feeling. Instinctual her tail tightened on his and she raised steadily cooling hands to his face. "You feel that?" If he did...then she wasn't crazy and she had a new plan, especially since it seemed like she wasn't going to be able to get him off this ship like she had originally planned.

"I thought they couldn't do that?" Well there was news to her. Granted they didn't have any silvers on board and the only gold was probably too young to do anything really yet. "So provided we run into silvers like my map rumors...should we even deal with them at all?" However her attention moved to the commotion that was on the stairs leading to the hull, especially since it was a distressed sound.

Eilynne had been keeping close tabs on Kaznec's state. She knew what would help him but she wanted Jaebelltiah to go through this with him. In a rare moment, she actually smiled as his logic-oriented mind clung to the only thing that seemed to make him feel better. Jae seemed to need no help in understanding what he wanted either.

"Cooked?" Well that just didn't make any sense to her at all. "The world lies beyond. Way way way out there. Everything has to meet somewhere, right?" Silly Xeke, always giving the proper answer. "Some people like the sun." She too knew what was going on and flashed in warning at Xeke. Kaznec was doing better. Danger wasn't averted yet though.

He stuck his tongue out at Desdemona once more but soothed slightly as Gem pet between his horns, which felt weird because he had a hat on. Yup, weird. "Yes. Lots of brothers and sisters. I'm the youngest 'cause my sister had to go away."

Wood at his back, wood at his side, and he just didn't care. That kind of discomfort just did not compare with the fire licking at his insides now. Somehow, his logic was quite sure that copious amounts of water would quell the burning but that wasn't really available at the moment. Instead, he found himself in a half-sitting position on the stairs landing with Jae still pressed tightly against his body in his attempts to cool himself. He licked his lips but just as instantly, they dried again as steam seemed to rise from them and between them. That didn't help... his body wasn't satisfied and a little part of him was still insistent that he could get her closer even though it was probably physically impossible. But then, there was more of that soothing feeling again and his breathing hitched in his throat for a moment as she pressed hands to his face. "Yes..." But it wasn't enough and even as his eyes stared back into hers, his hands roamed her back in search of bare cool skin and tugging at obstructive fabric that he decided shouldn't be there.

Desdemona nodded lightly.

"Silvers and golds are the rarest of the dragons. and that's one reason. Human hunt those that they find dangerous. and a dragon that can perform magic in a neutral state is quite dangerous when they want to be, or provoked."

though glancing at the stairway, and noting the steam.

"Kanzec and Bell are close together."

motioning to the few wisps of steam. then back to the dragonling.

"Do you remember anything about where they might be, or at least an area they might be at? a clan of gold dragons is a very special thing."

Hunter was marking maps and trying to find routes that didn't look like they were going to be deathtraps with all the damn heat, refracted and reflected sun.

"there better be something worth going through there. this place is like a torture chamber for ships, looking at these maps."

Before setting them aside, taking a drink of rum and going out on deck, getting his hat and adjusting clothing to protect himself and his crew better.

"alright, times almost up. Let's get things ready to go."

Yes...she she wasn't nuts and her mind instantly wrapped around an alternative plan, something was happening and she didn't care why or how but she was going to take advantage of it if it was going to help him. He wasn't making other aspects easy though as his hands sought to pull clothing that was probably making him hotter away from her own skin...and the last piece of the puzzle in her head clicked into place. "Get up." Bracing against the wall she forced him to his feet again and allowed him to keep her close as she walked backwards down the stairs with him, letting him fully lean against her as he wanted.

"You have to let go a moment Kaznec." Which meant she honestly had to pry him off of her for a moment but she was quick in her actions to follow. Stored canvas for extra sail material was grabbed and thrown down, bunched up some and she pushed him down into it. Grabbing the barrel of water she had earlier opened she pushed it over so that the water spilled on that canvas and soaked it to give him something cool against his back. Self conciousness bordered in her mind but she had to push it aside as she took a moment to get herself out of her clothes. It wasn't time to worry about modesty or other feelings, this was about getting him well.

Dropping down next to him she crawled on top of him, stretching out so that she was covering him as best she could despite height differences, her tail seeking his and letting her wings folds to his sides some to trap in that cool feeling that was coming off her body...she was right, her body temperature was dropping as if it was tuning into her elemental affinity. One hand moving to rest against his cheek she blew a slightly frosty breath of air over his face to help cool his skin some as her other hand moved to rest on the wet canvas, transmitting that same cold to it and keep the water from evaporating out.

He was just so cute wasn't he. "Why'd your sister have to go away, Treasure." Nodding back to Desi at the imformation, "Makes sense...we humans are barbaric creatures." A glance as Des did and she nodded once more. "I'm not even asking..." Steam? Fire, ice, made sense but was still odd for a human to grasp.

"Oh my..."

"You know what must be done."

"Yeah...and quickly too. It's about time they got to that."

"Rahsaveer."

"Right. Right."

In unison they wove the spell, casting a shimmering barrier over the stairs where access to the couple was easily granted. The tarp-like sealant sparkled a strange color that anyone who saw would infer warning. It would be disaster for any who tried to investigate further. She was taking no chances.

But one little gold was very unhappy about that and he pouted. "Is she showing him her nipples? I told her not to do that!" That just upset him since he wanted that privilege. But he knew far more about the whisperings of adults than Desdemona might give him credit for. "Among the rocks." A glance at Gem and he frowned for a moment. "Mama said she was sick."

Areesa bounced once and giggled as another flag went through her system. She was fully aware of what was going on and it was all amusing. "Dragon babies!"

"Maybe you can find it on one of Gem's maps."

but looking at Gem.

"If we meet silvers, I'd say be nice to them. courteous. be friendly to them, and they will be friendly to you. if they find us out here, they'll make themselves known. they won't want someone or something unfamiliar coming through thier areas without at least know whom or what it is. It's just safer that way."

then back toward the hold.

"He's already taking heavy effects, apparently. I imagine she's using her cold affinity to try and offset the excessive heat. hence, steam from cold and hot contacting skin."

"Yes I did, but I mean if I was to be given a choice of living someplace I would not pick here." Though he blinked as he saw the blue Seon dimmed, Logan had been watching Areesa's 'body' flick, dim, brighten and whatnot when she changed moods or was in thought, he found it interesting. But a look to Areesa and he nodded. "Cooked, you know warmed up, burned, humans have skin that can get damaged easily." His eyes still watching them as they seemed to be doing something else, but he couldn't tell though their bodies did give it away. After all since these little things could do some things he couldn't do communicating on a different level wasn't too far fetched, but it could be just theory. A blink when he saw the steam, was someone cooking something? "What's going on their?" But then Areesa started to act more like, well herself, and she even went totally off topic to which Logan raised an eyebrow. "Dragon babies? And yes I know what babies are," He had to say that to cover himself from getting an explanation, "But why so random there Areesa?"

Xeke's light stayed dim but he too was aware of the situation now, especially since the Laerethe had decided to intervene. "Kaznec and Jaebelltiah are the ones that should be worrying about cooking. Areesa is just making assumptions again." Blue light starting to hover in a slow circle above Logan's head. Nothing was going to get through that barrier, not even them. Oh well... the boy was on his own now.

With circulation already going wacky from being literally heated up from the inside, his blood rushed through his veins faster and faster, trying to find a means of escaping. Nose, eyes, ears... it was all fair game by this point. Which inevitably led to issues with consciousness as lost blood made him all the more woozy and to be honest, he couldn't really tell which way was up or down anymore. He heard his name though, which honed his attention in on her for a brief moment again though it was debatable if he actually understood her request. As far as he was concerned, losing that skin to skin contact merely made the inferno within burn hotter.

A groan then before he hit the ground again and fingers instinctively clenched the water-soaked fabrics, trying to draw upon that focused center of coolness even as everything he touched hissed and drew more steam into the air. But then came the excruciatingly soothing feeling again as she covered his body with her own, more surface area of skin to skin than before. A light gasp escaped him and he squirmed in response, his tail squeezing hers and more steam rose as his body leeched the cold from hers while at the same time, transferred the suffocating heat to her in a battle of elements. Like experiencing frostbite in a strange way, his skin tingled with temporary satisfaction at the contrasting temperatures while an ebbing pain formed beneath the surface as they clashed in the most basic of magics.

Okay she didn't know what just happened there, but she wasn't going near that...sparkly deathy looking thing. "No one touch that." Looking up to the sun and then seeing as her crew was all back on ship and quite confused as to how they were expected to get further supplies down there. "Leave it topside and lash it for now. Give me my sails and let's get out of here. And everyone put on your hats!" Fixing her hat as she regarded Desi. “I can give him a map to look at, not sure how detailed that is but anything is possible.” Shifting her weight though, “Good to know.” A blink at Desi, “Didn’t you just say that only silvers and golds can do that? She’s not either of those in case you didn’t notice.” Couldn’t help the eye roll at Cyvalor though. She was beginning to think that the boy didn’t know what he was saying or that he did all too well. It was hard to say. “Don’t pout now Treasure, pirates don’t pout.” Scratching between his wings lightly as she looked to Desi again. “Rocks…or I would assume large semi permanent dunes and such they can burrow into.”

He was getting blood all over her hair and the like, not that she cared at the moment. She had one goal in mind and she was not going to be usurped from it by anything. If only anyone really knew what was going on in the belly of that boat, they may be more weary and frightened of what was happening just below their feet. It was so calming of things upon introducing of others, it was more like skirmish and to the victor would go the spoils.

She didn't expect the sudden pain that hit her but she should of been. Elemental opposites had just gotten a taste of each other and despite what their owners may want, nature was the ruler in that world. But at this point it seemed the only option and she was on the weaker end of the stick she supposed. Ice crystals were starting to form in the water that was still in the canvas, seemingly unaffected by the heat he was giving off and she brought her hand up to let it and the other frame his face, making him look at her. "Kaznec. Kaznec listen...you have to calm down. I know it's hard. But you have to calm down." Sweet Ancestors he felt like he was melting her and while he yes may be cooling, she was sweating like an ice cube in the sun despite how her body temperature tried to counteract by dropping more. Not to mention his sheer physical strength was more than hers and his body was tinged with the needs of survival racing his blood, making him more so and his grip was painful. She was afraid of those tail blades of his also...those would hurt if he moved at the right angle and they caught her.

Her own pupils slitted then as her body began to try and compensate further against his own. Either fire was going to melt everything it touched or ice was going to freeze variable hell over, it was all about who could throw the other at the moment. Her hands stayed to his jaw and neck, cold still seeping into his skin as she tilted his head some more. Logic wasn't best right now...he couldn't understand it. She sighed another icy breath resting her cheek against his, nuzzling lightly before she rested her forehead against his. "Shhh Kaznec. It's alright...I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. Just listen to my voice. Hear me? I'm right here with you." Didn't care that his blood was across her face now or anything else of the matter. Ice was beginning to creep lightly from the bounds of the little nest she had made and steam wasn't getting to far away from them before it was seemingly freezing as well into fine snow.

Dark red light beamed across the right side of Hunter's face as the shiny ball of energy that was the seon Sylin appeared next to him. Usually when it came around something bad was happening elsewhere and this was no different. It however had questions from Lycear for this pirate. "Whispers Cry Broken Deals." Here it went with being cryptic again and uncaring as to what was going on on the Chimera.

Hunter was expecting the seon of lycear eventually. glancing at it and then back to the task at hand of getting out of port.

"I made Kanzec an offer. him for the city. he refused the deal, and I found an alternative route through the problems he was to solve had he accepted. And since your lycear's voice out here, lycear knows about it because the armada has approached. Care to enlighten me as to the current situation with that?"

Desdemona smiled lightly.

"She's not a white. white's can only use cold. they can't use electricity. she's a Rider dragon, or was intended to be at some point. she's a silver. But she's never been pushed or had a need to use real power in a neutral form that could override decades of ingrained assumption that she was a white. Now she has a reason. And I'll stay here for now, just to keep watch."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 28, 2008 3:36 pm

"Not the Original plan you Struck into Pockets for." It buzzed a tad angrily at the expliation that it was being given. "Son of Lycear comes Home safe, Hawk gets his Gold and Free Port." Lycear was not going to be happy about the terms of the deal being twisted as this. "Nothing Further." Bobbing in the air to follow him as he moved about and what not. "Ilindal Rests under Leviathan hues." Which also meant there was a very cranky and on edge dragon back home.

A blink, a stare, and then her hands hit her hips. "Well wasn't anyone going to tell me I have more than one Rider Dragon on my ship?!" Pinching the bridge of her nose, she gave a sigh and a nod to the dragoness. "Preferable right now...if I have dragons doing odd things I'd rather have another dragon around who knows about them to translate. Come along Treasure, you can stay at the helm with me."

"He would have been fine. and I know it's not the deal I made with his father. And that's a good thing. better to be under the leviathan then the serpent, I can assure you of that. Everything is going accordingly. Since the other two of your kind are apparently busy, I need you to go quickly, and ask your master if there's any surefire way to keep Kanzec in near glacial conditions. We're passing through the Glass Sea. and I know Des is already getting uncomfortable, I can only imagine how Kanzec is doing with his belly always full of fire as it is."

Though sparing a glance at the seon.

"Not everything a pirate does has some kind of sinister twist to it. I offered the deal to kanzec because I felt it was a needed risk at the time. it fell through, and we're good. no need, seon, to alarm lycear if it's not needed, if you get my point."

Desdemona tilted her head.

"It wasn't painfully obvious to you? she's got no blades or spines, she's small compared to myself, clumsy because she's got no counter balance for her horns. not to mention the electricity thing. only metallics have two 'breath' weapons."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 28, 2008 4:14 pm

"That you do Not Know." Angry hint to it's voice as it continued to float close to him, switcing shades of red from time to time. It however knew of the dragon's pride and distrust under this contract he had struck. It seemed to listen intently to him before giving a little waver of itself. It didn't need Lycear to answer that question. "Cold Fire." Or at least there was a saying on how it worked. It was what it sounded like to. Fire...but it was cold. Not exactly the breath weapon of an ice or water inclinded dragon. "The Elves make It." If it had eyes it would probably staring back at him with the same look. "You Risk the Son of Others. The Life is not Yours to deam Use for."

"Why do I pay attention to the way a dragon looks? Sure, there's a slight resembelence to the little sky blue. But she seemed tall enough...and I though white's being so oddly rare as they are were just different as well. Human, remember?" Frowning lightly. "I wouldn't exactly know that either. Besides I've never seen it as a breath weapon, it arcs through her paws and horns. And I've seen the jewel dragons pull more than one." Or was it they had a strict affinity for one and just knew the others like the elves did? Ugh it was so much more uncomplicated to be human.

"Jewel dragons occasionally can. but it's usually acquired with age. a jewel with more then one breath weapon is a very, very old dragon. But it's not expected for you to know everything. I just thought most would see the similarities between the blue and white and put two and two together."

Frowning a bit though at the sizzling sounds her ears were picking up.

"I suggest, Gem, that you use your wings, full sails, anything to get through her as fast as possible. if we meet any dragons other then steel, I suggest making a stop to get medical aid for Kanzec. the dragons out here probably have some method of heat control."

Hunter nodded.

"Kanzec will probably need it. I'm not aware of how intense heat effects red dragons. this place is going to be like a huge magnifying glass."

before letting richards have the wheel and turnign his attention fully to the seon.

"If you have another method that won't risk him, you let me know. the way around is marked with ships under Fang's flag. which means the Serpent could find us and neither then we're all in trouble. we go this way, the only person that has any serious trouble is Kanzec. the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few. Neither myself or gem are going to put our crews and ships in excessive danger so Kanzec can be more comfortable."
