Evilweirdo 0 APH-Fem Canada-APH I kinda hope they fix up some stuff with it too, but I've seen what they're doing with one death scene in the game. I find it odd that they allowed Velvet's costume to go untouched, but they changed a death scene in the NA release. Also, I wasn't a big fan of the story in Zestiria, I just found it okay. Mainly because what they did with Alicia and how they pulled a Destiny and had everyone download a DLC to use her more in an Epilogue chapter. Yeah, that's odd. I'm fine with that scene and Velvet's outfit, but you'd think they'd have changed the latter for an NA release. Zestiria's story was disappointingly vanilla and is, as of the DLC's release, unfinished. Now we'll probably never know what happens after that. Yeah, that's another thing that bumbed me out about the DLC, the ending. Where Chuckles McGee has plans for his revenge but the DLC is over so we never know. There are certain stories that can pull off some vague stuff, like most horror stories, but that just kinda makes you wanna chuck your controller out the window for wasting a few bucks on a DLC. Also, I find it odd that we get to play Eizen, Edna's bro, in the new game. IT kinda feels a bit pointless since we know what's going ot happen to him and we didn't give him much to care about in the previous game. Furthermore, I found the lack of character development or growth in Zestiria to be disappointing. I like Tales games because all of the characters go through an arc and also learn from their growth arc to help others. Edna, Lailah and Alicia's arcs were sort of . . . wasted potential in my opinion.

Yeah. I like Zestiria's characters quite a bit (at the risk of sounding weird, the female cast was particularly good), but they didn't develop quite as much as I expected. Some elements (Lailah's schtick, a certain relative of Mikleo's) just showed up out of nowhere and weren't very well explained or executed. I'd be interested in seeing how Eizen got where he was in Zestiria, so I hope they elaborate. Sometimes a story can be interesting even if you know the ending. I should know; even Symphonia was spoiled for me long before I first played it, and it was still glorious.

We never got a chance to play Phantasia (unless you're one of those super nerds who can get a hold of a game and play it via emulator) because it was never released. With the advent of the Internet, we were able to see how the game played out, but before we only had what Symphonia told us. This goes on for the Tales of Eternia/Destiny 2 debacle, but that's because of copyright issues and . . . not being prepared for another TOD game.

I've been busy with my Mass Effect trilogy replay (prepping for the new one!), so it may be a while before I'm ready to commit to such a long game. More news when I get there, I suppose. I do have it now, though! The cover art is nice. Anyway, when you say "work on a game," do you mean you're taking part in making a game?

At first it was going to be a comic until we decided to make it into a game instead. It's going to be an RPG of course.

Lanzer was fixing an issue with the main forums...which in turn caused a lot of other things to break.
And I reiterate my status, the programmers' anthem:
99 little bugs in the code 99 little bugs Take one down, patch it around... 117 little bugs in the code

EDIT: Oh poor little emoticon that doesn't get to show up because everything's borked. XD
