((Ack. Should I edit my post? sweatdrop See, I misread yours before and I thought you said you wanted to meet up in Lavender Town, not on the train. Heh... my bad.))
PostPosted: Tue Aug 02, 2005 9:18 pm

((Nah. I'll just meet up with you in Lavander Town then. ))

Seeing as Nina has fallen asleep Mitsu and Ken decided not to disturb her and return to thier original seats. Chatting and arguing for most of the train ride. As soon as the train came to a stop Mitsu and Ken decided to return to Nina seeing if she was awake or not. Apparently she had already left the train and was headed off somewhere else.

Ken scanned the area for Nina and her two Pokemon. She had managed to catch a Marill somewhere along with her Misdervus. Ken quickly spotted her and ran to catch up with her before she disappeared for the second time. "Nina! Wait!" he shouted winded from the run.

((Fuggin' Gaia ate my fuggin' post !_! Now I have to redo it))

Kasiya knew that calling Ken back to tell him she missed the train would be stupid for two reasons. One, he probably already noticed due to the fact that she hadn't boarded the train, two, the phones didn't work while one was on a train in the first place. She reached the big, copper doors of Vermilion Gym, looking up at the two electrified pillars jutting out from the front corners of the squat, one storey building. The electricity arched off the two pillars and onto a lightning rod centered above the door. Kasiya knew first hand that the rod connected to a cable that ran down to ground out the electricity. Lt. Surge had told her first hand on one of her first visits. She also knew that the electrical display meant that he was either about to battle a trainer, or was already engaged in combat with one.

She opened the door a sliver and slipped inside, her heart pounding in her ears. She hoped the battle hadn't started yet, watching Surge battle had always been a fun treat to see. She took a spot, out of view at the back, just in time to hear the Referee declair that the challenger was victorious. Her heart sank a little, and she watched Surge hand over the Thunder Badge and a TM 24. The challenger, an older-looking girl with long, teal coloured pig tails and a Piloswine at her side, bowed, thanked the gym leader sincerely, then turned to leave, looking pleased with herself. Her massive Piloswine followed behind her, looking like it had not suffered any damage at all.

"Congratulations," Kasiya whispered to her as she passed.

"Thanks," the girl whispered in return, and she and her Pokemon were gone. Kasiya stepped further inside, and could hear Surge muttering to himself as he flipped off the big switch that controlled the electrical display outside. He sighed deeply, staring at the floor. Then suddenly, he punched the wall, the loud sound echoing through the entire arena which made Kasiya utter a little squeal.

Nina heard her name called, and so she turned her head in the direction that the voice had came from, after scooping up Marill. A few moments later she noticed Mitsu and Ken running towards her.

"Hi, you guys!" she said. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever. I had a rather interesting experience yesterday..."

"Huh ah, huh ah." Mitsu was winded from the run she could barely utter a complete sentence. Ken on the hand seemed to be fine after a short breather. "Hey Nina long time no see."

After some deep breaths Mitsu was ready to talk. Curosity took ove as she launched a question. "Interesting experience?" she started, "What do you mean?"

Nina chuckled a tiny bit. "After I had left the Vermillion Pokemon Center, I headed northward. I found a security guard who wouldn't let me go through to the next town, and I eventually discovered a house with a... uhm. "Secret" underground tunnel beneath it. It was so long, and I felt like I had been walking for hours. But, I suppose it was for the better-- that's where I got this little gal from." She showed Mitsu and Ken her Marill.

"After I caught her, I found my way out and went to Cerulean City in the north. Today, I visited the gym leader there, who told me that if I want to go to Saffron City-- the city that the security guards are blocking-- to take another underground tunnel near Lavender Town. And here I am." Nina took a breath after speaking so much.

((Last post for the day. I'm getting tired. ))

"Wow, that's quite an adventure." Mitsu said "And that Marill is simply adorable."

"We've met up with some other trianers and is hoping that Kasiya will meet up with us here in Lavander." Ken added. "So what next?"

Lt. Surge wheeled around on one foot, just as startled as Kasiya. They both stared at each other for a few moments before Kasiya spoke. "You should treat your walls better, you know."

At her comment, he laughed, and shook his hand a bit, trying to ward off the pain. "Well, you''d be annoyed too if you just were crushed by some punk trainer."

((Likewise, I think. I'm sorta tired too.))

"What next?" Nina mirrored. "I want to find my sister in Saffron. I only hope that the whole underground path thing works...

((Roleplaying with Lt Surge, brought to you by Anya, now stay tuned for our sponsor. Night guys, sleep well!))

Surge had collapsed on his throne-like chair, and Kasiya had taken a seat on the floor nearby. She stretched out her legs and stared at the ceiling. It was a brassy golden colour, matching the rest of the decor in the room. The battle arena itself was a simple dirt floor, painted with white lines and up to regulation standards. At either end were two platforms where the trainers stood, and in the middle, to Surge's Right, another platform stood overlooking the arena, which was for the Referee of the match. A scoreboard was on the opposite side, showing pictures of the gym leader and challenger, and also the number of Pokemon to be used in the match. A clock was also built into the scoreboard to keep track of time if a time limit had been decided. Kasiya felt oddly comfortable here inside the brassy walls and the presence of the experienced gym leader. Even though they had glasses of lemonade, Surge was still refusing to recount the battle he had just lost.

Meanwhile, a celebration was held in Mauville as the first pokemon trainer in four years leaves his home to fulfill his dreams. For the residense, the oppertunity meant future fortune and was a time to invest and celebrate with their soon to be claim to fame. All was well, or so it seemed. The young man who was thought to be enjoying himself the most, who appeared to be the most elated among his false friends, hid his emotions of how he truly felt; he was afraid.

Before the morning star broke the horizon, before the oddish returned to the soil, the young man woke up, packed lightly, and left for Slateport. The route was quiet, this was his intent; not a pokemon stirred from it's slumber as the young man and his eevee crept through the winding roads to the train station in Slateport. He had planned things perfectly, despite many believing him to be a hapless incompetent. He and his furry friend would travel to Celadon by train and be far away from familiar faces; this would allow him to still get some rest and avoid any heart-felt tear and/or vomit enducing goodbies. Although good, the plan had serious flaws that both he and his eevee were aware of: first, leaving before his seeing-off meant he would be short on money and have to pay for his own train ticket. Second, not having any relatives in Kanto and being short on funds meant he wasn't going to stay in one of Elmira's quality resorts, to say the least. But being stubborn and mentally prepared, he walked to the ticket booth, bought his ticket, ($250), and took his window seat on the train. With his loyal friend on his lap resting comfortably, he stared into the twighlight sky, bedazzled by the mixing purple and red-violet. As the Heavy monorail pulled out of the station, his conciousness dwindled and eventually faded.

Nina felt a bit of guilt as she wandered along Route 8. "Maybe I shouldn't have gone ahead without Mitsu and Ken again," she said to Misdreavus as she stroken Marill's head. You gave those trainers your PokeNav number before you left them this time... do not worry about it, Nina. You will all meet up again.

Nina replied with an unsure, "I guess so..." Her voice trailed off. She spotted a few tall patches of grass as she continued to walk, considering entering them to train against wild Pokemon.

Bryny

PostPosted: Wed Aug 03, 2005 8:58 am

Bryn had made a few stops on the way to Vermillion only to feed herself and Hunter.

She stopped on her bike out of breath from racing with Hunter who was waiting at the entrance looking up at her. Bryn chuckled to herself and looked inside.
"Well c'mon Hunter...we need to find this Friend of Prof. Oak." She got off her bike and put it away and for the first time took out the package and looked at it.
"So we are looking for the Gym Leader Lt. Surge. Well I'm just thankful that the Prof, always goes and gives me the proper directions."

Bryn headed straight towards the Gym and found herself in front of a bunch of the trainers circled with each other. She always found herself in awe of the way the gym was laid out. With the many different displays of Electrical power.

"Excuse me I'm looking for Lt. Surge I have a parcel for him from Prof. Oak." Bryn said to the group and waited for a response.

"Sure i'll um go and get him ... don't expect him to be Mr. Nice Guy though, he's just got beaten." One of the guys went towards the back of the Gym and through a door

"He's currently talking to his daughter so you might want to sit a while."
"You wouldn't happen to want to fight would ya?" another one asked
"Oh no no no Hunter isn't strong enough to take on Surge yet...I know how powerful he is...and so not today but thanks." Bryn quickly said since her Houndour hasn't really seen any sort of battle yet. Bryn stayed standing and waited for Lt. Surge.
