I own SH2 and SH3 and love them both, have yet to play SH4. Another game I loved was Fatal Frame 2, that was a messed up ending.

Well, I got a PSP, so it's review time. I'll compare it to the DS to some degree, for those of you who don't have either handheld and are debating whether to get one or the other.

The PSP amazed me. As somewhat of a Nintendo fanboy, I was extremely pleased with the PSP. All the problems from the Japanese launch have been fixed, as far as I can tell, and all the problems with the US launch haven't been apparent in my console. The hardware is sleek, and it's packaged with a sleeve kind of thing, so you can keep the system in your pocket without fear of it getting scratched... if you've got a medium sized pocket. The video quality of Spiderman 2, the UMD video it's packaged with, is ******** amazing. I'm seriously still in shock. Now, I was impressed with the DS, but honestly not as impressed as I am with the PSP.

Now, on to the PSP games I picked up.

Metal Gear Ac!d:

Forget everything you know about Metal Gear. This is a totally new experience. It's a flawless blend of your basic turn based strategy, with an innovated card battle system, and still carries the stealth theme that's been present in almost every Metal Gear game. Instead of beating all your enemies, the object is to sneak past them, avoiding combat as much as you possibly can. And let me tell you, it's really ******** hard. I'm having a blast with it though. Graphics and sound are both great. Overall... 8/10

Untold Legends:

Your basic hack & slash game, with a bit more depth. I haven't been able to try the wi-fi stuff with it, but I'm sure that makes it a lot more fun. It's a great game to me because it's like Gauntlet... but on a handheld. Again, 8/10

Overall, if you've got 250 dollars burning a hole in your pocket... I am going to have to recommend the PSP over the DS. Right now, it has much more going for it than the DS does. Although that may change... we'll just have to wait and see.

Since Suyo did Ac!d and UL : BotB. I'll go ahead and do Darkstalkers and Dynasty Warriors.

Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower
Same as most other Darkstalkers, I, personally, did not finish this game. Though our resident lurker, UJ, did....with everyone...theres 2 endings. I'd have to finish it myself to verify, but I'll take his word for it right now.
The parts I did play, were really quite fun. 6/10

Dynasty Warriors
Wow DW on a PSP, seeing as how I hate DW....I'm going to give it a shitty rating! BECAUSE I CAN!!!!11

Just because this thread should be revived again..

Galerians:Ash. Spoilers, but only for the first 40 minutes or so.

omgomg. I beat Dorothy. Go me. crying Except.. I already know there's more than one fight against her, which is good.. but also suckeths. I'm gonna have a hell of a time remembering all the attack/item names. Friggin' complicated RPGs.

Aside from that, this game ROCKS muchly. heart Pretty opening sequence, pretty other [in-game] opening sequence, pretty characters [mostly Rion, Lilia, and Parano, but the rest too], pretty.. rest of the stuff. heart

I sold mine. cool Overly complicated RPGs that fail to make up for it in sheer awesomeness [example of the making-up kind: .hack games] = INSTA-LOSE

Lets talk about stepping on peoples toes, shall we? Ahem:

Kyle_Rayner the b*****d

Im a R/Mo17, so its safe to say that I have a bit of experience with the Guild Wars lifestyle. I have one opinion that Id like to add, that I havent seen posted around here.

Because there is no monthly fee for Guild Wars, theres lots of kiddies on there (obviously, as the posts in this thread shows.) Mom and Dad dont mind em playing this MMO since theres no monthly fee. Not only are these kiddies, but they have never played a MMO before, so they dont even know the basics, like what WTS and aggro mean.

All this means that you will unfortunately almost always have a complete, blithering, net-speaking, misspelling noob in your team, no matter what level you are. Ive heard a LOT of people say that all-henchmen teams are mostly better than teams with real people, as far as PvE goes. It takes a certain kind of player to play a game with a monthly fee. There arent many of those on GW, theres a lot of casual gamers. And to put it frankly, they suck at GW.
