Though it took a while, Baranar eventually recovered from the waves and waves of pain. He shakily sat up, leaning his back against the wall he so unpleasently was thrown against. He turned to Erica, smiling weakly as he nodded his head in thanks, if even for the attempt. His head and shoulders sagged as he let his chin rest against his cheast.

"I know who our Puppet Master is, and it is most definetly not the Time Master..."

Baranar smiled grimly. "No, not nearly so subtle. This was punishment for my attempting to figure it out." He set his head back against the wall, closing his eyes.
"When Xeen and I went to the Titan and Eldon's bar, we didn't expect to lose. I know not if Xeen fell, but I know I did. When my body shut down, I realised I was not dead, and assumed I was en route to the portal. Seeing as I was not dead, I still had control over some base form of my magics; I used said to attempt to search for the Puppet Master. Why would he expect someone to search for him when they were supposed to be dead?" Baranar chuckled softly.
"He didn't like what I found out, so he hastened by arrival here, and then made said arrival...less than pleasurable."

Baranar, slowly stood up off the ground, a hand on the wall for support.
"I may be wrong, but the best I can tell... Our Puppet Master is none other than U'Daria. Do not tell Xeen, at least not untill I am sure. If he learns that U'Daria may be behind this, there is no telling what he will do, and I do not wish him to run out on you when your wedding is so close."

((You'd wait untill they were married? So they can have their one night of fun then have him take off on her? Damn you!!!))

"You have no idea how greatly I hate that stone." Erica offered a hand. "Lean on me. We need to get you off the basement floor, the cold damp will get you sick."

Erica led him to a chair helping him sit down. She sat down herself, and tended to her foot. "...broke two toes, lovely...Scott!? Can you grab me something to wrap my foot?"

Baranar gratefully sat down in the chair, exhaling deeply as he tried to relax, despite dozens of thoughts running through his mind. As Erica called out, it took him a moment to think on what she had requested. He reached into one of the inside pockets of his robe, and pulled out a roll of bandages. He reached over to hand it to Erica.
"Bandages alone won't fix your foot right, though." He said grimly.

Erica looked at Scott and his saran wrap, and grabbed the bandages from Baranr. "There's not much you can do with broken toes, they are usually taped together to preven movement and bumping. However if it's severely broken and cutting off blood supply, that can be a problem." She examined the toes carefully, "if it swells too greatly, and continues to swell, then I'll go to the emergency room. But I think bandages and tape, will serve it well enough."
