"I'm sure." He was still slightly shaken up by what he almost did so he was trying not to think about anything that could possibly make him think those sorts of things.

The little mage slipped off the counter, and went to put his plate in the sink. "Did you get up while I was asleep?" He wanted to huff a bit and remind Riley how cruel it was to drug his partner like that, but he managed to keep it to himself.

Kaleb completely ignored Riley's question. "So you haven't eaten at all today? You must be even hungrier than I was." He knew how much his partner ate, and it really made him wonder why his lazy partner could skip meals just to stay in bed.

"Nope ... bed was better." Bed would still be better but Kaleb had made him get up. He would have rather stayed there until dinner time.

"But you need to eat!" Kaleb exclaimed, completely forgetting that this was the kind of pestering he usually received. "A-are you sure I can't make you something?" He wandered over with his glass of chocolate milk, and looked up at Riley with what was probably an adorably hopeful expression.

Kaleb pointedly took a sip from his chocolate milk. "But we've already gone over this, I don't need much. You always eat lots, so this isn't normal." He poked Riley's stomach. "Please let me make you something?"

"Not hungry .... still wanna go back ta sleep." He was still tired slightly since he'd been jerked awake so crawling back into bed or dropping onto the couch was better than food.

"But if yer not there its ...." Well he'd already figured out that he couldn't sleep all that well without Kaleb around so unless the mage was coming with him there was no point.

Kaleb fidgeted and looked a little miserable. Their newly preferred sleeping arrangements were awkward, since neither could sleep easily without the other even though they had such different schedules. "Y-you slept the night before last on your own, and it was fine, wasn't it?" The mage asked, although now he was starting to consider possible reasons for Riley's sleeping in.

"...maybe." He'd slept but it hadn't been for very long nor was it very restful. Kaleb didn't need to know that though since he didn't want to impose on his partner.

"What do you mean, maybe?" Kaleb asked, fidgeting worse. He really didn't want Riley's sleep to suffer when he wasn't around, but his partner's answer wasn't very reassuring.

"Chocolate really only means one thing don't it?" He scrunched his nose slightly. He was pretty sure that there weren't different definitions for the word.
