...a room just for tubas...that awsome.. my pet is a tuba ^__^
you know your a band nerd when you and all your friends walk in step down the hall in the middle of concert seasion
you know your a band nerd when you hang out with them so much that they actually start to believe that your one of them...even though your only in guard...yeah *points to self* that would be me...
--so im in the cafetria waiting for them to open the auditorum for the winter concert, right.. a band friend took me to im like waay early. one of my other friends in band walks up to me, looks at me quizzically, then goes ' eek eek wheres your dress?!?!' xd ...so funny
you know your a guard nerd when you can figure out just where the perfect toss would go in any song.....especially when your not trying to sweatdrop

We had one guy cover his bass in christmas lights, somehow he rigged it so that every time he played a note the lights would flicker... BD was not amused, but we loved him for it.
Hence my second you-know-you-are-a-band-nerd-when.. You decorate your instrument for every holiday.

Gedmicha We had one guy cover his bass in christmas lights, somehow he rigged it so that every time he played a note the lights would flicker... BD was not amused, but we loved him for it. Hence my second you-know-you-are-a-band-nerd-when.. You decorate your instrument for every holiday.

You know you're a band geek when you conduct your favorite song.
and you try to explain to a non-band person that the improtant beats in one song are on 1 & 3 and on the other it's 2 & 4.
You know you're a band geek when your late for a class all you say to your teacher is "band" and the tardy is excused.

Nintendo Punk 05 When you correct other band people in the halls for not being in step Oh! You know your a band nerd when you try not to look down in the hall because there are too many people walking out of step! (>.< oh, that drives me crazy!)

RinoaHeartilly The Grumpmeister You know you're a band geek if you pretend your instrument is a weapon: saxophone: bazooka clarinet: musket trumpet: any type of gun tuba: a weapon of mass destruction flute: a tazer trombone: a continuous trigger machine gun oh, dude, every year our band takes a group picture, then we all do section pics. 2 pics per section, one serious one, and one 'funny' one, and for the clarinets they were all holding their instruments like they were muskets and pointed them at their section leaders who were on the ground on their knees xd lmao In my sophomore show we did generation "X" (purple haze and some other songs i can't remember right now.) any way, the clarinets held their hrons like guns. (^_^ that was a fun show. but with us yelling "X ...X, X X X" all the judges got confused...)

Actually Im on a tour of Brazil with my college music dept right now. We have been here for about a week and will be coming back this weekend. Its great to compare the influences of music from one culture to another.

I have two:
You know you're a band geek...
...when you refer to the shakos as chicken buckets, even when you're not talking to bandies...
...when you start to name every single instrument you've ever played...or dreamed of playing...(Rusty, Hades, Thor, and Bari to name a few...)
