Mai-lin stirred slightly and her eyes opened slowly. She sat up and looked around, the first time, looking over Konohamaru but the second time around she stopped and her eyes grew wide. She knew that Konohamaru was Kei's father but...last time she had checked he had been on a mission. "H-Hello, Sir." She mumbbled, looking down, eyes still wide.

"What's your name?" He asked as he handed her a cup of the tea. "Drink that and you'll get your energy back. Can you tell me why you collapsed on my doorstep?" She must have come looking here for Kei.

"My name is Mai-lin." She took the tea and took a sip. She quickly figured out how to tell the story without getting into trouble. "I was using a jutsu and I kept it up for a really long time. When I dropped it I was by here... My roommate would be really mad if I walked in this late so I figured Kei wouldn't mind since I had just seen him out not that long ago... I'm sorry if I woke you up, Sir."

She nodded softly, "Don't worry about me. Us Uchihas can handle anything." She felt slightly annoyed at herself when she said that, never really loving her clan like most people did. "So long as he's determined to improve I'll be fine. You may just want to make sure I don't have any reason to strangle him."

Yuhi chuckled, "Oh, feel free to do that if you think he deserves it." He finished off the last of his dango and put one of the sticks in his mouth to chew on it. "Anekio, just out of curiosity, has the Uchiha compound been reopened? I've seen someone in there a few times now."
"That makes sense." Konohamaru said and nodded. "And no you didn't wake me. I'm waiting for my eldest son to come home so I can lecture him." He said with a smile and gave Mai-lin a wink. "Anyway, if you feel like you don't have much energy, you're welcome to sleep here on the couch."

"You really love your brother, huh?" Anekio smiled softly, finishing the rest of her tea. "Hopefully soon. Father doesn't want us to from childhood issues. Though I don't really see why everbody hates Itachi-san. He actually seems pretty awsome to me." She stated flatly, shrugging.

"Yeah, I do. Even if he is a pain in the a*s sometimes." Yuhi said and grinned. He decided not to make a comment about her family. He's heard the story about what had happened and thought everyone was allowed their own opinions. Akatsuki was still a threat today, even if their members changed every now and then for one reason or another.

"Yes, to my face everyday." he said with a chuckle. Yuhi got up from the table and put enough money down to pay for their food and drinks. "I'm going to go and walk off the rest of the sake."

At the metion of Yuhi -even though he hadn't been named- Mai-lin became slightly flushed. "Thank you sir but I don't think that...needs to be done." SHe stood only to fall back onto the couch, holding her head.

I need some water...Kei thought as he got out of bed and wandered into the kitchen for a drink. When he saw his father talking to someone on the couch, he didn't think much of it...until he realize who it was. "Mai-lin-chan? What are you doing here?" he asked as he walked over with his water.
Konohamaru got up and wandered out of the room without a word. He can handle it from here.

She stood up as well. "You think sake will help me think about stuff?" Either way she figured she'd get a hangover, but if she could think clelarly it'd probably help her. Maybe I'll go visit him. Father can't stop me this time. She grinned brightly, sliping the picture out of her pouch and clunche it loosly.

Mai-lin looked up at Kei and gave him a weak smile. "Hey Pei-kun!" She patted the spot next to her. "I held a jutsu took long and when I dropped it I was here...I didn't think you would mind and I didn't think your dad was here...And it was really bad idea cause...your brother can't be that stupid and...I just...nevermind." Mai-lin gave up whe she started to fumble for words.

Kei smiled. "I don't know what you're talking about, but....Yuhi can be that stupid about anything whatever it is." He put his drink on the table then sat down beside her. "You look exhausted, why don't you sleep here tonight? This couch folds out so you should have room."
In the kitchen, Konohamaru chuckled. He's got girls following after him already...just like his brother did at his age. I guess that's what happens where you marry a beautiful woman. He thought and looked at a picture of his dead wife that sat on the counter. Well, he has to learn sooner or later...
