<******** it!

It's not like she was wearing much anyways. She took a deep breath, that ...door, did look big enough to swallow her whole and as such it was slightly nerve wracking, but she had faced worse things.

"So if you see my breasts, we can go in, ne?" she muttered to herself. Besides, it was her 'uncle', Sunstrike who had seen a lot more of her than just her breasts and Hono who was older than mud.

Tellus just wanted this damned thing over with. So she stuck her nagamaki between her thighs, not really thinking of the innuendo that could be visual before reaching over her head and tugging on her already skimpy shirt and pulling off the white tank top. Her breasts weren't large, but neither were they small, but she had been dressed for play before and she hated restrictions so no bra.

So the girl stood there, the tendrils of her black and silver hair flowing around her body, clad in only a pair of tight jeans, with her hands on her hips, with her breasts jutting out as her spine straightened so he could get a look.

"Can we go in now?" the pout on her lips making no bones about how annoyed she was, but then again, most would know how appealing that look could be on the girl. This was most defintely not the same girl who while dressing rather immodestily had always been rather modest when up close and personal. Nor was she quite as innocent it seemed. wink

And the Halycanos would be right to know something was off. For this became apparent when Brass' form rippled abit, as though reflected off upon a lake of clear water. The two living statues seemed to laugh as they balled up their rocky fist and charged in for another relentless attack. Then, as though it were a sign of the end of the world, the Sunlight over Halycanos' head was blocked out slightly.

Above him, and falling towards him, was Brass holding his bow with three arrows that shined with divine energy pulling back ready to fire. By simply bending the light of the intense Sun and the heat of the desert, Brass had effectively made a mirage to fool Halycanos into thinking that was the real sage. And the statues were merely a distraction, a distraction that could hurt him, but a distraction non-the-less. Brass really didn't expect them to hit the guy. "Well, you said c'mon." He pouted as he fired off the three arrows.

Then as the arrows flew true towards their target, Brass took in a deep breath, and blew a strong wind behind the arrows. Thus the arrow sped towards at Halycanos, wind magic obviously was being used. It was now he secretly thanked his trainer sage for forcing him to learn some wind magic when he was a mage as those years ago.

"Heh"

*Rave recovered from her laughing fit and scowled at the door, crossing her arms over her chest as she gave Tell a little cover, raising heat waves around the woman enough so that anyone trying to look at her from more than a few feet away would see nothing but blobby waves vaguely shaped like a woman* I wonder how relics become perverts.... stare

When the sun was shaded out of existance, Halycanos instictively looked up to see what was in the way. Answer? A falling sage with a set of bow and arrow. "God..." Halycanos muttered as he cut along his figure. The blade was sent across himself, of course, to derail his opponent's desires of arrowing him to death. And it worked, sorta. He caught the last two but the first one ripped right into his shoulder, sticking with a sick 'thuck'.

"GYAH! ******** back several feet, Halycanos wailed angerly, his eyes blazed up with a very pissed off glare. There were currently three targets. One authentic, two organic replicas with a lack of major features. It was obvious what was what. And to make things better, the one on Halycanos' immediate right was part glassy. One good hit should crumble it.

But, Halycanos was not the logical thinker when he was pissed or injured. And he was both. So, rather than carefully planning out an attack, He simply sheathed the sword recklessly and lit his fists up, running right at the trio with a barrage of flaming, bullet like punches. "YOUR a** IS MINE!"

((Note : Adreniline is pumping, canceling his pain. And the intense heat will cause his wound to heal shortly. But it's gonna get better soon.))

As Brass landed softly on the sand, he glanced at Halycanos and smiled in silent victory as he had scored atleast one hit with his arrows. It was exactly in the place he was aiming for, but he didn't have the keen eye sight of an elf. Sure, he was skilled with the bow and arrow, but he never once was able to score a head shot or entirely hit his target in the right place. It was something he had gotten used to. Though he did hope the wound would slow the man down some.

Is he a madman!?

Brass thought wildly as Halycanos sheathed his sword and opted out for an all-out fist fight. Now, that was something Brass wasn't skilled at. He forced the sand to push him 10 yards backwards as his statues foolishly ran into the man's punches and were instantly destroyed, turned into mounds of glass in the end.

However, Brass countered quickly and pulled a certain gem out his pocket. "Encasing." He whispered into his fist as he threw the tiny gem at the man's chest then strung his bow. This time five arrows made of divine energy appeared strung against the bow. He fired the arrows off so that they flew at him in a sprialing, circle formation. He repeated this action once more before stopping and getting into a defensive stance.

Sun just...raised an eyebrow, debating whether that was actually Tellus, or Tijae doing that, and settling on that it was probably a little bit of both.

Whatever the case, seems like they were getting in now, regardless. He also had to wonder what Victor had to do to get inside.

He casually leaned over to Hono. "They don't always start out that way...maybe he remembers old yearnings?"

"mmmm Doorsex..." The grin was large as he nudged Hono and talked to her secretively. "Good to know he's not a closet door though, else Vahn'd have to get naked 'stead of Tellus."

The whisper would hopefully only be caught by the red-haired girl.

The 'face' stared down at Tellus for a moment, time stretching on in silence.

D-Did it..?

Vahn had been standing to the side and slightly behind Tellus, so even if he had tried glancing towards her he wouldn't have been able to see what the door saw.

You have passed the test of humility. You four souls of tranquility may pass.

A great shuddering began throughout the entire tower, even as those massive doors began to swing open. Great heaps of sand went flying everywhere, forcing Vahn to shield his face with both arms.

"This... this is it!"

As soon as the words were spoken, Tellus began to put her shirt on. Thankfully so as the dust started stirring. Using her shirt and arms to block the sand, she heaved a great sigh.

Finally

Then she moved no further, she wasn't going anywhere without Vahn leading first. He knew what they were getting into, they did not.

*Rave snapped open her fan to shield her face from the sand as she leaned in towards Sun for one last snide comment, needing to get it out of her system before her life was in danger again* xp am I the only one who thinks it was funny the door thought beings like you and I have "Tranquil Souls" xd

*she snapped the fan closed again and smiled at Vahn, orange eyes sparkling over the rims of her shades* Well Kas dear, lets go annoy the heck out of your brother... twisted

He had to smile in response to Hono's comment, he found it more then a little ironic himself. But as the doors open, his mind swung to the task at hand.

Sun watched Vahn, sighing softly as he followed after, pausing only to squeeze Tellus' now clothed shoulder.

"Thanks, Tel."

Stepping forward, Vahn paid no heed to anything else. The air was heavy with that musty smell that was always found with derelicts, unkempt books, underground passages and things better left alone.

The hallway seemed to stretch on and on, murals depicting the architects of the structure decorating the walls on either side. Yellowed eyes took them in, but to a man like himself they meant nothing.

"Watch your step..."

The doors began to swing inward, grinding along the worn out ground before heaving shut with a loud thudd. Vahn turned his head back in the direction they had come from... knowing at this point he wouldn't have wanted to turn back anyway.

A simple test... nothing more than a jest from an old steward... for the real trials lie within. May whatever God you worship... have mercy on your soul.

The face began to recede once more into the door with a sigh.

"Oh ********..." Halycanos really had no way out of this one. Ducking would save him from one or two, and jumping either way would be too dangeround. But he couldn't just stand and take it. That would kill him, wouldn't it? It was still a day's walk from the desert city, and he'd never make it with ELEVEN arrows. As he was thinking all this out, the flew at him and WHAM! Two, three, four, five, six arrow wounds, though the new arrows all faded, leaving behind an intence burn. Halycanos was evil by nature.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Halycanos flew up some from the arrows before being hit by a second pair. Another shattering scream of pain. He was being pushed too far back, and in his pain, he'd have no real way to defend himself. He was ********. And damned to die here. Sent sailing backwards, Halycanos' body lay strewn out on the desert sands. "...fu...ck..."

"Halycanos... you're not strong enough to have this power." "Liar... You... can't live... without me..." "Then live! Do you want to start again?"

Halycanos was laying out. But he was not necisarily out. Not just yet.

A white H2 departed from the Desert City, Strata.

Three people were being carried on four wheels to a place that few would travel to. A place that was not in the desert, but under it. Somewhere within this vast expanse was an entrance to the caves of Hollow. It might have been said that it was much cooler, this far underground... but it was not. Not at this point, anyway.

The underground tunnels were suffused with an oppressive aura of nothing but sheer heat as if a metaphysical force had invaded, pressing all but the original inhabitants of the caverns away and out. This was the price for taking the treasured stone from one of the deepest chambers within the expansive network of tunnels... it was a power which could not be tamed by any physical means.

Or at least, without an artifact of some power.

The expidition team that had ventured into the caves looking for treasure had found a grave marker covered with runes on the outside arch and portraits of an age long passed. At the top of the arch of the rounded tombstone, there was a depression in which a perfectly spherical, three inch wide stone could fit. Not to mention the fact that there was a rune within that depression...

The one that matched the engraving on the ruby they now held.

Of course, it was shiney and valuable looking... so they took it. And had to run moments later, when an oppressive, almost visible wave of heat burst towards them. No fire, no light, just heat. A heat that would burn through skin and muscle- something that would almost burn the soul if it were capable.

They got out alive... and managed to sell the gemstone to someone who appreciated its worth. It certainly was worth it, if about half of their party had been slain by the defensive measure. But now, it was returning to its resting place, and would stay until someone entered and properly went through the motions of paying their respects instead of taking the gemstone.

This chamber was, after all, sacred ground.

But they didn't know that yet...
