It quickly flew it and began furiously pecking at him. (-20, 180 left) Tenka flailed his arms around to release Powdered Snow, sending the Noctowl away to get some distance from the pokemon. (-60, 50 left) The Noctowl decided to play it smart and keep it's distance, using Confusion on Tenka. (-25, 155 left) "Tenka, finish it off." Ricardo said tiredly, rubbing one of his eyes. The Snover took another deep breath and exhaled Icy Wind back at the Noctowl. (-70, fainted) The Noctowl staggered and retreated back to it's tree.

Chloe backed up as Kaya went to Brayden's side, allowing the prince to check over Brayden as she stood, wiping a bit of the snow from her pants before it had a chance to make her even more chilly. She recalled Daimon, seeing that Brayden was in control of himself, opting to do so before Dai decided to take things into his own fins.
"I'm fine," she smiled at Brayden's question, shaking her hand dismissively, "It'll take more than that to do me in," she managed to joke. Although she shivered slightly, it wasn't too bad. The thought of nearing the Pokecenter was definitely a tempting one, though. She definitely was ready to warm up a bit.
"Can you move?" Chloe inquired to Bray, referring to the Thunder Wave. She hadn't encountered it before on her own person, so she wasn't to sure how it would affect a human. She only knew a little about his general distrust of electric types as well.
"If not I can have Lantis carry you to the Pokecenter. I think it'll do us all some good to warm up a bit before we discuss this?" Chloe suggested a bit hesitantly, before providing a reason, "I for one would love to get into some dry, warmer clothes," she smiled faintly.
It was when she had taken a few steps back that she realized Julian's reaction to him launching an attack on his own friend. She frowned, approaching him.
"Hey, don't be too hard on yourself," Chloe ventured, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder gently.
"In all honesty, I wasn't really seeing a way out of that situation. I couldn't have offered much more help. There really isn't any attacks that my party knows that wouldn't have hurt him. And I haven't really figured out enough about my gauntlets to know if they'd be any help in that situation," she explained, holding up a wrist, indicating to the metal there.
"You acted in a way that could stop him, without hurting him too much. And I'm sure he won't hold that against you, right Bray?" she asked, turning back to their friend in the snow. She knew him enough to know that the thought of attacking his friends was not appealing to him in the least. She just hoped that he wouldn't take it personally that Julian had opted for that method as a way to stop him.

"I'm okay," Brayden nodded in response to Kaya and Julian's like-minded inquiries, sitting up a bit. He was starting to get feeling back in some of his extremities, which he took as a good sign. He rested one of his hands on Kaya's, pausing a moment before figuring out what the prince was trying to do.
"Thanks," he offered genuinely, holding his hand a bit tighter. He wasn't sure if any of the excess electricity had passed onto Kaya with the touch, but had heartfelt thanks for the help just the same.
"Just... could you use something besides electricity next time, please? I don't think we mix too well," he managed a small smile to Julian. Although it wasn't nearly as powerful as the blow in Celadon, he hadn't enjoyed the feeling of electricity around him, even if it didn't cause any injury, it was still a little unsettling. Although it was certain that he hoped to high heaven that there would never be a 'next time' that would warrant someone to step in to stop him from whatever it was that just happened.
He looked up at Chloe's suggestion, daring to feel just a little relief. After all, no one had started shouting accusations at him, and it didn't look like any more attacks were headed his way. Not that he didn't deserve them, be sure to note. Heck, he'd submit himself to several Thunders if it would make what he had just done go away. He'd just prefer it if no more harm befell him than what was necessary.
"I think I can walk," he nodded to Chloe's question, "No need to call Lantis. I think its starting to wear off a little anyway," he explained, testing out a hand by flexing his fingers. Other than the strange prickling of pins feeling that one got when your leg falls asleep, no adverse effects that he could note, and even that was slowly starting to fade. And better yet, his fingers followed the instructions his brain gave him with little difficulty.
Now his back was bothering him a bit, from where his skin had healed over several months prior to today, but he figured he warranted a little discomfort for his actions a few moments ago, so clammed up without mentioning that bit aloud. Just as long as anyone averted from touching him there for a bit, he felt that he could avoid jumping from his skin like a Meowth on a hot tin roof. And it wasn't something that wouldn't go away on its own in a short while.
"I also agree to heading to the Pokecenter," he piped up, if his vote counted at current. That would give him a chance to help make up a tiny bit for his actions, and also give himself some time to clear his head.
"And you have no worries about me holding a grudge about that," Bray shook his head at Chloe's question to him from Julian's side.
"If anything, I'm in your debt," he murmured, "I'm honestly not sure what would have happened if something hadn't stopped me just then. I'm not sure what happened, but it was like my feelings weren't my own," he frowned, knowing that didn't make much sense.
"Aaa, I'm not sure how to explain it, and don't know if I can," he admitted with a shake of his head.

"I'm just glad you're all alright." Kaya commented after a few moments. His fingertips were tingling slightly, but the prince couldn't tell if that was from the electricity in his lover's body or from the biting cold.
He stood to his feet and offered Brayden a hand to help him up as well. "I was a bit worried about you, Bray. But still...that doesn't explain how you knew the Water Dancer's Chant, or how to speak Harmonian at all." the man remarked thoughtfully.
"Anyway, we'll sort that out later, so let's just head on out to the Pokecenter first. I'm sure we could all use the warmth at the mo...mo.....mo-ACHOO! Ugh....moment..." the prince remarked, sneezing almost painfully. He grimaced at the feeling, appearing almost as if he'd been hit in the face for a few agonizingly long seconds, before he finally relaxed.
He sniffled a bit as he offered his friends a sheepish grin. Looks like someone's coming down with something.

"Bless you," Chloe said automatically to Kaya's sneeze, watching a bit to make sure he was okay. She nodded, it seemed like everyone was like-minded in getting back to the Pokecenter. And she wanted to head in before she started sneezing like Kaya was beginning to do. The last thing she wanted was for everyone to catch something while out in the snow. Wet and cold didn't blend too well in those odds, but there wasn't really anything to do at this point except hurry to town. And hope her immune system was up for the challenge, of course.
"I think we could all use a warm drink," she opted, offering Julian a hand to help him rise from the snow. She pointed the way northward, "I flew over here a while ago, and Snowpoint isn't too far from here. Its a little bit of a walk, but I think even then I saw a few houses on the outskirts that would surely give us a bit of a break if we need it," she reasoned, in case anyone needed to rest a bit. She just hoped that the people here weren't as cold as their surroundings.
If worst came to worst, she could probably call out Entreri for some help in navigating. He probably remembered the landscape a bit better than she from their first trip to the snowy town.
"But we'd better get moving. The longer we stay here, the more frozen we get," she managed a grin, although it was slightly strained. She was clearly worried. Although she had no clue what Kaya was referring to with the Chant, she knew for a fact that Brayden had spoken a language she had never heard him speak before. And he had seemed as baffled about it as Kaya was about him knowing Harmonian.
But Chloe set out, opting to take the lead, more out of getting something to do rather than her knowing the route the best. With a shiver, she lamented not having a fire type along. Kaz's tail would come in quite handy at the moment, she mused, stepping through a snowbank, tsk-ing at the thin layer of ice that was starting to form on her clothes, and starting her way northwards towards town.
The gauntlets around her wrists didn't have as an adverse reaction to the cold as she would have feared. Other than tightening a little bit, almost as if they were trying to get out of reach of the icy chill, there wasn't really anything that she could notice out of the ordinary. So, finished with her quick examination, her hands went back into her pockets to get a little more warmth than was offered by Snowpoint's wind.

Chloe had been walking through the snow, but she stopped, as a Meditite hovered in front of her path. The small Pokemon considered Chloe for a moment, before attacking, ever-willing to test out its prowess in battle.
"Ah, geez, nothing's gonna go right today, is it?" Chloe muttered, having enough time to call Lucrezia from her Pokeball, the Lopunny landing lightly in the snow in front of Chloe. She raised a brow at the frost-coated Chloe, but her attention was drawn towards the Meditite as the small Pokemon launched itself at Lucrezia, hurling a Confusion at her.
"This one should be quick, use a Bounce," Chloe requested, as Lucrezia nodded. Using her powerful legs, the Lopunny leaped into the air, dodging the psychic attack, as the Meditite halted its charge, seeking Lucrezia's location.
Lucrezia was found a moment, later, as she reached the peak of her jump, turning swiftly into a dive as she slammed into the Meditite.

The Meditite launched another Confusion at Lucrezia, this time the attack landing, as Lucrezia was knocked back a few paces, skidding through the snow a moment as she endured the hit, before coming to stand once more.

"You're okay, right, Lu?" Chloe called, as the Lopunny dusted a bit of the snow form her person, frowning slightly at getting the cold stuff on her. However, she wasn't any worse for wear.

Lucrezia lashed forward with a sudden flurry of attacks, leaping foward as she struck with her fists, then switching to a series of kicks, effectively knocking the Meditite out cold.

Chloe couldn't help a smile. Although she seemed relatively innocent, it was clear Lu definitely had a conniving streak in her, "Thanks, that takes care of that," Chloe thanked Lucrezia, before recalling her back to her Pokeball for a bit of rest.
Chloe looked up, hearing her name. For a moment she was confused. After all, it wasn't the voice of anyone who was with them currently. It took her a bit to realize it was Ricardo, as she spotted the other boy not too far off.
"Hey!" she greeted with a faint smile, "We're hightailing it to the Pokecenter in Snowpoint, care to join us?" she asked.

"Thanks," Brayden offered to Kaya at the helping hand, making his way a bit shakily to his feet. He held onto Kaya a few moments afterward, making sure he wouldn't fall back into the snow if he let go. It seemed his muscles were cooperating for the most part, and, safe for the faint tingling that even then was starting to dissipate, he really didn't foresee any problems.
He couldn't help but wince a moment later, however. Not because of anything on his person, but he had heard Kaya sneeze. He knew quite well it was pretty much his fault for that too.
A quick internal inventory check of the contents of his bag didn't come up with much. He didn't really own a coat, just a light jacket he had bought back in Slateport when he had been traveling over the ocean to the islands in south Hoenn, but he figured that was better than nothing. He didn't even really have a towel or anything in his bag either. Digging in his backpack, and cursing his habit of packing lightly, he retrieved the windbreaker, offering it to Kaya a bit abashedly.
"I'm not sure if it'll help any, but you're welcome to use it," he piped up. Since Kaya's clothes and bag were pretty much soggy, he wasn't sure if anything Kaya owned was still dry at this point.
"Uh, I have my old vest in here too, but its short-sleeved," he held up his bag in reference, "I'm not sure if it'll do any good, but I suppose you guys could use it to dry off a bit."
The flutter of wings above him caused Brayden to look up, but it was only a Noctowl taking flight from the trees to glide silently over the snow. He opted to ignore the nocturnal bird for the moment, since it seemed more interested in finding Ratatta than attacking any humans, instead bending down a bit reluctantly, and picking up the Aqua Buckler from the snow. He examined it for a moment, before making his way over to Julian.
"Uh, could you stash this in your bag for a bit?" he inquired to the boy quietly, "Just until I clear my head a bit. I don't think this was really the cause of whatever happened, but I don't want to summon a tidal wave or something to hurt anyone with. I figure its safer out of my hands for the time being," he reasoned with a slight wince. It was true he really didn't want it in his hands for now, and he also hoped that this little show of trust would help prove to Julian that he really didn't hold any sort of grudge for attacking him.
'Brayden?' came Ariadne's voice in his head, although it sounded almost muffled, and slightly panicked. It was then Brayden realized that he hadn't heard from Ari since they had left Mt. Coronet. On a lighter day, he may have also noticed that this was the first time Ari had actually called him by name.
'Think you can help explain just what happened?' Brayden thought bitterly, 'I have no earthly clue myself...'
'You can hear me?!' Ari nearly shouted in his head, sounding both startled and perhaps just the tiniest bit relieved, as Brayden opted to take up his trek, following Chloe through the snow. He knew the others would have to get to the Pokecenter soon. He looked up as Chloe addressed Ricardo, spotting the other boy a little ways off. It looked like he had arrived just shortly.
Wondering if he had just seen what had happened, Brayden opted to keep his distance from the other boy, instead, picking up his mental dialogue with Ari. Hopefully the empath would have better luck sorting out his emotions than he was at the moment.

Kaya offered a sheepish grin as he accepted Brayden's windbreaker. Even in his parka, being wet in Snowpoint's weather wasn't exactly a good thing. Nor was it especially bearable.
The prince shivered slightly as he followed his friend and lover toward the snowbound city's limits.

Nona sneezed. God, even the city limits were cold...Bio and Nevermore were beginning to shiver as well, meaning it may be best to stop training for now.
"I think what we all need is a good rest..." Nona said, as she trekked through the snow slowly. "I think I caught a cold, too..." She sneezed again, whiping her nose with the back of her sleeve, and then beginning to suck on her honey-flavored hand/paw.
Then, as she was approaching the Pokemon Center, Bio in hand and Nevermore on her shoulder, she exclaimed:
"B-uhdon! Co-wee!!" (Or, in Non-Hand-In-Mouth, "Brayden! Chloe!!") Realising that she couldn't be understood, she opted to stop sucking on her honey-flavored hand. "...Wait, if you're here, then that must mean..."
She looked to the side of Brayden, to see a very cold Kaya.
"KAYA!" With that, she tackle-hugged him, smiling widely. Bio and Nevermore fell into the snow, not hard, but a bit aghast that Nona seems to know so many people. "H-Oh my god, I missed you guys! You won't believe wha-....Kaya..." She stopped her happy rant for a moment, pullling away and looking at Kaya oddly. "...Why are you all wet?"
She shivered, getting herself wet a little too from the contact. And then she sneezed again. "...What brings you guys all the way up here? It's been ages!"

Kaya sneezed a few more times as the group traveled northward. It didn't help much, but Brayden's windbreaker at least helped deter the wind from freezing him faster than necessary.
Hearing someone familiar in the distance, he looked up and quirked his head to the side. He didn't see anyone at first. He had heard Nona, hadn't he?
After a moment, it became obvious that he had heard her as his name was called. Long before he had the chance to brace himself, he felt the female's weight slam into him. Knocked off balance by the teenager's hug, the prince fell back into the snow, really not able to comprehend what had just happened enough to comment at first.
"...........N-Nona?" he finally asked, his mind still lost in the haze brought on by the cold and his wet clothes. Once he'd registered that it was in fact his friend, he sat up and looked at her. "It's...it's a long story, Nona." he finally told her, hoping to appease her curiosity at least until the group had a chance to recover from the recent unpleasantness.
He finally climbed back to his feet, the cold beginning to creep further into his body from being in contact with the snow.

Wait. Kaya sneezed. Several times. "Oh, Kaya, you're freezing!" She lifted Bio off of the ground, and handed it to him. "Here. His flame-body should work to keep you warm..."
Bio squirmed a little, not wanting to be in the arms of some stranger. She then returned Nevermore to her ball, to try and keep her warm. "...There..."
Looking to Bio, she sighed. "It's just until he's warm again, alright my little Bio-Baby?"
"...Beeeee..." he muttered, disdainfully, but he understood.

Kaya snuggled into Bio when Nona handed the Magby to him. "Ooooh, he's waaaarrrrmmm!" the prince moaned in gratitude. Jeez, he couldn't sound anymore like he was having an orgasm, could he?
"Thanks Nona. And thank you too, Bio." he murmured, almost ready to curl up with the little ball of heat and sleep for a while. If anything, he at least sped up walking a tad bit.
If Chloe and Julian walked close to him, they might be able to feel Bio's warmth as well and it might help keep them all from catching Pneumonia in the freezing weather.
