Brayden nodded, watching Kaya's reaction to the thought of participating in another contest. He couldn't help but smile, it was clear that Kaya definitely had a heart for being a Coordinator.
'Now if only you had any bit of coordination about you, and we'd be set,' Ariadne chimed in with her two cents. Brayden chose to ignore that comment, if only because he couldn't come up with a snappy enough comeback. She really was right, he wasn't the most graceful thing on the planet.
'Should I give you a few lessons?' came the mental snicker a few moments later. Sometimes it sucked having a Pokemon that could read your thoughts...
"Contests always sounded like fun, but I don't think I'd be any good at them," he murmured, voicing his thoughts to Kaya. However, he grinned, "Although I think it would be awesome if I watched you compete. If you'd allow it, of course."
A Kriketot distracted Brayden momentarily, as the small bug type challenged him. An attack from Ariadne was all it took to send the brave little bug scurrying back into the bushes. Brayden needed something to distract the Gardevoir from reading his mind for a bit anyway.

"I admit, that sounds like fun," Brayden laughed at Kaya's offer, "You'd just have to be patient with me, I'm not really used to giving directions to my Pokemon in any situation other than in battle," he admitted, "I'm sure the contest mindset would take some getting used to."
"But I'm sure you'd be an awesome teacher, though," he smiled brightly at the prince with a confirming nod to the thought.
The path widened in front of them, as Brayden led the way the rest of the route to Floaroma.
