Brice was quick to pick up on the uneasy feeling in the room, and his eyes followed Gervain's also. He wasn't sure what to do exactly. Well he'd been right in his hunch, Shadi and Gervain were mages, as was Leif. He knew that most likely if he let himself be known that Shadi and Gervain could easily take him out. A coupled pair was stronger than his magic alone. That was a given.

This 'other' Leif was not something he liked though. More so than Gervain.

"I saw we all just get along, no? What's the use in fighting. It'll only upset little Shadi." Brice finally added, when things seemed to settle down a little. He wouldn't let on that he was a mage yet. Only if he had to.

"Or if you two bone heads want to duke it out, I'll take Shadi else where, he shouldn't have to fight a battle that he didn't start." added Brice. It would be nice if the two kicked the crap outta each other, but he doubted Gervain would let Shadi out of his sight.

Leif's eyes darkened a bit, the real him rousing to the sound of the word 'fight'. No, he didn't want to, not at all. He just wanted to rest, but that wasn't going to happen if he just let the power sit there in his body looking so self assured. He cleared his throat, his vocal chords having been aggrivated by the lower notes. His startled green eyes looked around, each person in the room was staring at him. What the hell did he say now?

"W-what?" He asked generally, trying to figure out why there was a faint, lingering scent of trees in the air, and a dampness settled in a layer of dew on top of his clothes.

Kaya slowly stood and started to follow Kiyo and Shiyaa. He wondered briefly if he would be okay going with them. He knew his powers got out of control frequently since he still didn't know how to control them yet. The thought slipped from his mind though as he stepped out into the cold and held the door open for Kuno to follow.

Kuno smiled and picked up his back pack and stood silently a few minutes, thinking as to wether or not this was a good idea. He is kinda cute....and I did promise Master Arcaniss before his death to help when needed. It'll be nice to hang out with another pyromancer....especially one as cute as this one. The other guy...must be a mage too. Well...no matter, I'll know soon enough. Kuno thought to himself before walking out the door after the others, reflexively using pyromancy to scorch the blood off his knife.

A crimson brow rose curiously as he watched the other down the drink so quickly in the soft light. He held his own half-empty bottle in his lap, index finger smoothly gliding over the rim in continuous circles. He looked down in his lap at the drink. Skyy had a point... there couldn't be a limit on the number of drinks you earn by getting hit by a cab or getting in a car accident. It had been a rough day. But... Kalen hardly ever drank beer. In any case, as Skyy began speaking to his uncle, Kalen's eyes settled on the empty bottle in his lap and he felt the urge to play the part of a host and get the other another drink. When the dark-haired boy hung up, Kalen smiled mildly. "I suppose that's a good thing to have..." he agreed, looking back down at his drink. He paused for a moment before consuming the second half of his drink in a long swig. Kalen then held out his hand for the other boy's empty bottle. "I'll go get the case..."

Reaching behind himself, Skyy placed the cellphone on a small table near the couch. The other case? He didn't actually think Kalen would take him seriously. He didn't even mean it to be.. But what was there to complain about really? It wasn't often his uncle would buy alcohol, leaving him at times outrageously sober on a dull day.

"Well, if we plan to celebrate our misfortunes, I expect you to do a little better than a couple Wine Coolers," the darker haired boy commented, handing the empty beer bottle to Kalen. "Let loose and down a few beers. Wine Coolers are social drinks anyway, and I don't exactly plan on impressing anyone with delicate drinking." Settling back, thick blanket warming his legs, Skyy felt as if he were already talking to a friend. As if earlier that day they hadn't bickered in the least.

"No," Gervain said firmly, almost before Brice had finished speakng. Shadi wasn't leaving him. Not ever. Especially not with an older man. His orange eyes narrowed and he pulled Shadi closer to himself. The boy winced slightly as the other's grip just barely brushed over the cuts in his side, but he didn't protest. No matter how angry he had been at Ger before... it was always better, safer to be near him. Shadi didn't want to leave....

Shadi looked up, surprised as the Geomancer seem to turn... normal again. He then did something he almost never did and broke the silece. "You... you fell asleep," he mumbled a little hesitantly.

He looked back and forth and all of them again, then back at Shadi. The boy seemed the most approachable of them all anyway.

"I heard it talking... Why does it talk? Thats... That's not normal, is it?" Leif was too tired to expend his energy looking paranoid, but he did want answers. He wanted his restless questioning mind tobe put at ease or at least prepared for the worst.

"No... it's not normal..." the boy murmured softy, a slight frown curving his lips down delicately. "I... I'm guessing you just awoke... right?" he questioned. After receiving affermation ((sorry for the slight godmod, but the post is too short and pointless as is)), he continued. "Uhmm, well... I'm guessing that since your magic was bottled up for so long... it kind of developed outside of your personality... You never really merged your spirit and your magic... So... so I guess it's kind of like having a split personality..." Shadi looked - and sounded - quite uncertain. "I... I guess the best way to remedy that would be to practice your magic a little bit every day... Nothing big... no fighting... Just... just small things... I guess for you that would be making plants grow a couple inches or something. THat way you'll slowly integrate yourself with your magic... Everyone has to start slowly and your long wait has given you an excessive build up of magical potential and energy."

Shiyaa's apartment wasn't too far away, and they arrived shortly. Neither Shiyaa or Kiyo spoke much while they walked.

His apartment was decent sized, kept extremely neat. The rooms were all simple, with no real decorations. Shiyaa gestured for them to sit on a leather couch as he went to his room, " I need to change real quick, then we can talk over dinner. Porkchops okay?"

" Mama can cook really well!" Kiyo said as he hung up his coat.

Leif nodded. It seemed to make sense. Like learning to ride a bike by starting out on a tricycle.

However, it didn't make sense with how his own power had awoken, so strong, like he was riding an elephant and it had decided to stampede. Still, he was greatful for it. It ment that he'd survived Gervain's first attack. Hopefully last attack, though the dark haired man certainly wouldn't count on that.

Kuno waited just outside the front door of Shiyaa's apartment, standing silently, not entering the other's home. He didn't actually invite me in...just assumed I would...so I'll not enter....if I'm invited...that's when I'll enter, not before then. It's only proper... Kuno thought.

Kaya followed Shiyaa and Kiyo until they reached Shiyaa's apartment. He stopped for a moment and looked at Kuno standing on the doorsteps before following Shiyaa inside. He'd been invited to come to Shiyaa's place back at the cafe. He wasn't stressing to much over formal invitation until he heard Shiyaa ask if porkchops was alright for food. He was vegetarian but didn't want to sound rude."Actually, I'm vegetarian. I don't mean to put anything on you that will have you doing anything special. Besides, I ate before I left home." He was a horrible liar and hoped Shiyaa didn't pick up on him sweating as he'd tried to come up with an excuse.

He invited me in at the shop....I forgot....I can go in.... Kuno thought. He silently walked in and stood silently, not sitting down. He remained there silently, his eyes darting rapidly around the room, before stopping on the other male, Kaya. He's cute..... Kuno thought before looking away from him. His eyes then continued darting rapidly around the room.

Kalen wheeled himself back to the kitchen in utter awe of his new guest. "Well, gee, just make yourself at home," he muttered sarcastically under his breath as he pulled open his fridge door once more. Skyy acted like he hadn't a care in the world. And why were wine coolers so bad? In truth, Kalen knew he should probably stick to them because he was a lightweight drinker. But Skyy wanted beer... and the way he had stated it made Kalen fear losing face for drinking lightly for some reason.

The chill of the refrigerator sent a shiver down Kalen's spine and he recoiled as soon as he had the case in his lap from the cooling contraption. He returned to the living room and it landed with a soft clink on the floor.

The red-haired teen pulled two out and handed Skyy one, significantly disliking the cold sensation of two bottles in his hand. A grimace adorned his features as he shifted himself back into the wheelchair. "So, do you work?" he asked quietly, eyeing the other's blanket almost enviously and now caught between remaining close to the light or returning to his chair to resituate himself with another blanket. Kalen opened the beer and took pitiful sip.

Skyy took the second beer appreciatedly, offering a nod of thanks. He popped the cap off and took a long drink as if it had been his first. Was it just him or perhaps the alcohol beginning to take light affect on his mind, but Kalen acted strange from time to time. Maybe it was just that awkwardness he was feeling from having a guest in his house. Either way.. it amused him to a point.

"Well, I'm a photographer.. Not so much at the moment, however, seeing as how my camera along with my phone got smeared across the street," he said, trying to force sarcasm into his voice despite his annoyance with his lack of electronics. "I can't say I'm 'New York Times' material just yet, but many of my photos appear in other local papers and magazines. I can't seem to hold any other job for very long, though. Apparently puncuality is a big deal to many businesses nowadays." He rolled his eyes, tipping the bottle up once again. "What about you? Anything to waste away your precious day with?"

Kalen arched a brow. Photographer... that was interesting. So Skyy was the artistic type. He could sense the other's irritation due to his poor vocal cover-up. When the question was redirected at himself, though, Kalen was a bit stunned.

... They were actually having a conversation? The consistency was making him increasingly nervous. He ... didn't like talking to strangers about himself so much. He took a deep swig of his beer and hoped he'd loosen up more. "I, um,..." he started, wheeling back to his chair and grabbing a blanket from it. Instead of transferring himself there, however, he waited until he came back into the light and spread the blanket over his knees in the wheelchair.

"I work as an intern at a law office on 37th street. In a few years... I, um, plan to go into law school." Readjusting his glasses frames, he shifted in his seat. Azure hues gazed down at his watch. It'd been ... nearly an hour like this. What was going to happen to him if that power didn't get back on? With every bit of magic used, he lost power to keep himself warm. And without heat on a night in the dead of winter... he could be in serious trouble. He couldn't make a fire because his fireplace was fake. Untamed fire was against regulation codes in his building. He'd have to set something on fire, but then how could he explain that?

Kalen paused. "Move over slightly," he muttered, in reference to the other's position on that long stretch of couch.
