Startled, Quinn dug her fingers into Therin's smokey pelt and the canine turned his head to make sure everything was ok. With a chuff, he went back to his methodic plod through the rain.
"Well... Junkan never joined us and I can't see him now... I just hope he's ok..."

"I wouldn't worry. Junkan seems like a resourceful and resiliant fellow! I'm sure he's out scrounging somewhere for food for maybe he's even made his way back to the Tavern. Most everyone seems to wander back to the Turtle's Paradise at some time or another.
"So, I was curious, what is it you all have been running around for? I kind of gleaned that somebody's life was in danger and I thought it was Saevam's, but obviously it's more than that... Can you please fill in the holes so I can try to be of more help to everyone?"

Bowing once more to punctuate his gratefulness to Saevam, Mirror tipped his hand as if tipping an invisible hat after pulling the arm from a slow bow. "We'll report to you again if anything comes up, Saevam. Good that we know where to find you now. Farewell! I'm going to fly before the storm gets to rough."
Tilting his head to the side and releasing a smile like a caged butterfly, the Al Sylian turned on his heel and tightened his knee-length rain coat against himself and pulled on his goggles. Grinning, he calmly walked out the door, voicing a pleasant goodbye to those who still remained and a promise to meet them once more in the warm room of the tavern. Twisting the door handle to open the cozy world of Saevam's home into the torn and rainy grey world of the outside, Mirror slipped through the crack and shut the door behind him before too many droplets of rain found their way inside.
No one could really see it, but the Al Sylian was terrified. He hated water and the thought of him travelling across it once more, by himself, bulged inside his chest and screamed it's reluctance to fly. But he didn't want the others to see or find out. He had to prove, not only to them, but to himself that he could do this. That he could perhaps conquer his fear, or at least be able to make it across in one piece.
Beating his tiny wings for direction, Mirror concentrated his mind and felt himself become feathery light and ascend into the cold air. He might as well have dived into a pool of water. Lifting his arms to cover his face, Mirror performed a twist in the air and began flying over Quinny and Shyam, although he didn't realize it.

He didn't seem to mind that he was the last to leave. SImply bowing before them both, he headed out, the rain making his hair stick to his face almost instantly. How terribly annoying. But his face showed nothing of the negative thoughts rampaging through his head. So basically, he had just wasted his time. Stupid. Utterly stupid. He knew there was a deeper meaning, there usually was in something as off the wall as this, but please. He had much better things to do. He flicked a soaked braid out of his field of vision with a bit more force than needed, but it wasn't like it would hurt him any. He had enough hair, heavens knew. Instead of being out in the cold wind and almost ceaseless rain, he could have been at home. Sah was probably pissed at him taking so long and he had promised to take his children out.. it was rare that all of them were under his roof at any given time so he didn't wish to waste it. Yet, he found that he had.
Even though he was aware of modern things, he lived in a pocket dimension where such things weren't the norm and only raised eyebrows. And even at Tavern, with how things worked, thinking of looking someone up through a phonebook, which would assume that person had a phone, then assuming knowledge of where one lived when he didn't even know the layout of Gaia period... was just working his last nerve. Which would mean he still had nerves to fray. His gaze focused out as best he could, seeing how the others were sticking together for the most part. And he would have joined them if he hadn't heard a faint kweh coming off from the opposite direction. "Hmm?" Unable to resist tryng to figure out why a chocobo was by itself in the rain, he followed the sound. He was surprised to find Arkli sitting under an archway, apparently waiting for him, if the happy sounds it made meant anything. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Koni?"
He knelt down next to the bird, who nuzzled against the angel happily. Arkli didn't wait unless he planned on going back with someone. Had Koni sent him after him? "Well... let's head back to Tavern. It's time to report back to Koni..."

"Well... its kinda a long story, but I suppose I could give you the cliff's notes version." She chuckled a little at that, trying to return to her usual humor. "See, a while back, we all went on this big quest and some people we thought were bad turned out to be good and some people who we thought were good... well... at least not bad turned out to be just that and it was all kind of confusing and we got to ride a dragon... but in the end, the Overlord, Elizabeth, was killed, even though she was really good and we all miss her terribly. And then she came and possessed a Moogle to talk to us and told us cryptic messages and so we all thought we needed to find Saevem.... since no one thought to call her... and now it turns out that we needed to be in the place where we were... so that's why we are going back to the tavern... Get it?"
She scratched her head a bit, not sure that she understood anymore herself.

Shyam blinked at her blankly... scratching his head.
"Let me get this straight. The good guys were bad, the bad guys were good, you got to ride a dragon, and the head of the Regalia Family (Finally, something he understood) was killed but talked through a Moogle to send us to find Saevam, for no real reason, when we really need to hang around the Tavern to see if the Moogle will talk again....?"
Shyam continued to blink at her, hoping that he understood, but wondering if he really did.
"So what did the Moogle warn about, and why was it so important to find Saevam. I got the impression that someone's life was in danger?"
Shyam was glad for the distraction, because suddenly the ride back to the Tavern through the rain didn't seem as cold, wet, or depressing. He was thankful to Quinny for this!

Mirror flew silently and unnoticed above them, guiding himself by their general direction and his inner sense of direction against the breathing storm. Rain struck him like little darts in the wind and he shivered against the storm. He knew he had enough energy for the flight to Gambino but he wasn't altogether sure about the flight over the waters.

Shyam sensed a presence above them and whipped his head upward, unsure whether to anticipate an attack from above or not. Seeing that it was only Mirror he relaxed and waved at the Al Sylian. The Rogue wondered if he looked tired, or if it was just his imagination....
"Would you like a ride on my chocobo," he called up into the air above him while Quinny was explaining things.

Mirror glanced down to Shyam's call and squinted down at him, trying to comprehend and repiece together the words he had shouted out to him. Finally discovering what he had said, the Al Sylian replied back, "I can do it. I'm not that tired." But his voice betrayed all he actually did feel.

"DON'T BE STUBBORN. I DON'T MIND SHARING," she shouted back up to him.
"Hold on just a moment Quinny." Shyam reigned in his Chocobo so that Mirror could land and ride with him. They could then continue once that was done.
"I just don't want you over-exerting or hurting yourself, my friend."

"You could always ride Therin again too, Mirror. He won't mind." Quinn ruffled the Aziraphale's shaggy pelt as he shot her a look over his bulky shoulder. He always put on such a show.
"Well, I never really thought Saevem's life was in danger until everyone else started jumping to that conclusion... then I followed along like a lemming. Its more Elizabeth that I'm worried about. She uttered her name with such urgency... Well, I guess we can only go back to the Inn and wait... though, I do wish the child had returned with us..."
Squinting a bit, Quinn huddled into her cloak, re-wrapping some of it around Llyan so she would stay dry. The weather was looking less dangerous as they approached Gambino, but it was still wet and cold and she didn't want to give the coeurl any reason to shock her.

"Oh, that makes sense. But if Elizabeth is dead, how can she be in danger. Unless, there's more to the afterlife than we know. Hmm, that's interesting to consider."
Shyam lost himself in thought, considering these new thoughts.
Suddenly, the Chocobo 'Wark'ed' as stepped back onto dry ground.
"Oh, hey look, we're here. That trip went by really quickly! Thanks so much for your company and your explanations Quinny, that really helped! And glad to have you along too Mirror!"

Mirror had landed stubbornly and hesitantly on the chocobo behind Shyam, flapping his dusied and wet wings to steady himself and his mind, and almost immediately did the Al Sylian slump forward and onto Shyam's back with exhaustion. Then, only moments later after a murmured 'thank you', did Shyam feel Mirror's cheek against his shoulder blade and the sudden weight of a sleeping body. The Al Sylian's mind completely shut down now, tired from the flight, no sleeping, and no eating that the group had endured in their trip. It felt to Shyam as if a child was leaning up against him, tired and small against the fading storm of grey and rain.

He flew over them for a moment to make sure they would be fine before he took off on ahead. Though he was tired, he needed to get back to the Tavern and speak with koni. Arkli was making it back in his own time, probably liking to randomly wander as he pleased. The rain was tiring and annoying but he just wanted out of it. Normally, he would have stuck around to attempt to chat, but his mood was rather darkhearted and he didn't wish to inflict his irritation at anyone undeserving. Slicking some water out of his face, he beat his wings firmly, pushing through the weather as best he could. Get to Tavern, talk to Koni, go home and hopefully shower, eat and sleep. Yeah.. that was definately the master plan.

The cloaked woman was rather disgruntled to say the least and as she trawled through the streets with her head bowed against the wind that now whipped at her cheeks she couldn't help but hiss bitter remarks towards whatever beast had caused such unrest and freakish weather - gone were the days when she took pleasant weather for granted.
Releasing a grunt, the emerald clad woman persisted in her attempts to navigate the streets, her direction rather sporadic as she weaved between streets to find relatively reasonable alleys that did not turn into local wind tunnels with the power to rip her favoured hat from her head (actually she was more concerned about the feathers).
A shame her grunts couldn't be heard though, it seemed she was being ignored more and more these days but she had been the one to exile herself until things had calmed down...only to discover they had become much worse in her absence - it was only now that she regretted her actions.
"Where are you...?" She murmured to herself in a low grumble has her gaze flickered towards the various tourists spots.
