Shin grabbed that shoulder, and the other and gripped Sun hard. His eyes boring into the other man's as he captured his gaze and held it.
"Don't be stupid Sun... I.. don't like this... If you were anyone else... I would-- oh hells..."
He stopped for a moment and took a steadying breath.
"I have half a mind to tie you to the bedposts."
He smiled softly and shook his head.
"I know that sometimes there are things that have to be handled on your own... maybe this is one of them... but I don't agree. For the record..."
Letting him go, he walks over to a wall where a strange mirror-like object hung, with runes about it's face much like a rotary phone. Tapping 4 of the runes, the 4th squad HQ swirled into sight and a young man answered.
"Commander Shin Sir... What can I do for you?"
"Send the Gate Guardian to my quarters please."
"Your barracks or your suite sir?"
"Suite."
And with the tap of another rune, the mirror was just a mirror again.

"I get that a lot...the bedposts thing I mean, people seem to think I'm cute like that or something." Sun didn't look at Shin as he made the joke, just folded his arms, sighing softly.
The truth was, no, he didn't especially like this either. It reeked of things unpleasant, but there was no denying the responsibility he had to the girl, or the fact that when Vahn came back, time would be dangerously short.
So he sat, and waited for Aiysin.

He swats at Sun's head and cuffs him lightly.
"It's not like that Sun, so don't be silly."Walking behind where sun was sitting, he wraps his arms around the redhead's shoulders."I know this is important, so don't look so sad. M'not anrgry... just worried."

15 minutes later, Aiysin would knock on the door.
"Shin?"
She had been putting the finishing touches on an upgrade for the wrist piece she had given Sun when a paige relayed Shin's message.
If you could call that a message... no explanation what-so-ever, just an order for her to go to his suite.
After finding out what Shin wants, she would go see Sunstrike and give him the new bracelet.
Reluctantly, Shin makes his way to the door and lets Aiysin in, shutting it again behind her.
"What's up Shin? I was told you needed to see me abou--"And then her eyes picked out Sun behind the elf and her eyebrows shot up.
"What's going on?"
Shin sighed and turned to Sunstrike.
"Tell her."

Sun grinned sadly at Aiysin.
"I have to leave..."And he explained as best he could what he had to Shin. Sun wasn't expecting this to be pretty, but he would be clear about his intentions, as well as taking the blame from the both of them.
"...so I should be back soon enough, I'll just go somewhere where it's clear as to what's going on, and get back in time to have dinner or something. Easy as cake!"

The argument would go back and forth for roughly 10 minutes. Aisyin was clearly opposed and Sunstrike was clearly determined. Shin, stayed quiet and just watched with an increasing feeling of helplessness in the current situation.
Aiysin whirled and before he knew it that fan she was so fond of, smacked him upside the head as she stood there with hands on her hips, exasperated.
"SAY SOMETHING!"
"Ow."
He rubbed his head where she'd hit him and just glared petulantly.
"Ugh! Smartass! Thanks a bunch Shiiiin. Some help you are..."
Huffing she turns to Sunstrike, brandishing her fan in emphasis to her words.
"Back for dinner you say? How long do you think this will take?"

"This place messes with my connections, it's there, it's not there...you know how it is. I'll just get a sense of whether or not she can handle herself or if she needs some extra help. Since I'm not racked out, I'm guessing she can handle it."
He was avidly rubbing the bridge of his nose in annoyance. The more time it took to get out, the more trouble it'd be for them all to get back without notice. People were gonna wonder.
"Are we agreed then?"

She began calling her energies to her, all she needed was a destination and the gate would be made. Not that she was happy about it mind you...

"Aekea, might as well start where we stopped. And we'd better take along some extra stuff, in case of problems."
He'd follow where she said follow and he hoped this would just be a quick trip. Sun knew he had to leave Tijae to follow her own life, but cutting the ties wasn't worth losing her to the unknown.

Whatever Sun needed would be sent for. Aiysin explained that she would create the gate from here, where nobody would see his departure and report it to the fourth squad's bureau of intelligence.
When Sunstrike had everything he needed, she would weave the gate energies, opening the door to the desired location: Aeka."Be quick Sunstrike... or I'm coming to bring you back lest we all get busted for this... oh..."
her voiced softened. As much of a hard-a** as she was trying to be, she was quite simply worried about the redhead."... be... uh.... careful."
Shin just nodded. He didn't trust himself to speak just then... He had a terrible feeling about this. Probably just paranoia...

He kissed her forehead, it just seemed the right thing to do, then he caught Shin up in a hug, and ducked out of the portal before the feeling of its warmth left him.

Shin did the only thing he could do. He hugged him back. Watching his friend duck through portal, he tried to ignore the sinking feeling in his heart. He turned to Aiysin and saw his own fears reflected in her usually void face.
"Follow him... keep him safe..."
"Aye. I'll bring him back Shin, I promise that much."
The elf just nodded and left his room. He needed air.
Aiysin, followed through the gate, obscured from sight. And with that, the gates on both sides collapsed.

The gate opened and lay Sun, sprawled out on the ground in front of the infirmary, seconds later, Aiysin followed behind him.
The healer who had been set as a watch, hollered to the medical team indoors. The higher-ups of the fourth squad had watched the complete video feed the Gate Keeper had relayed, and had alerted the healing unit to be on standby.
Aiysin stood between Sun and a very Angry Roiysin.
Before the irish woman could even say a word, Aiysin stopped her short.
"Patch him up first, then you can chew him out Healer."
The shorter woman glared up at her and then shoved a stubborn finger in her face.
"SHUT UP! I'll deal with YOU later, Gatekeeper."
She rounded away from Aiysin angrily and directed the other healers in loading Sun onto a stretcher and carrying him indoors to an operating room.
Aiysin sighed and smirked. She really couldn't blame Roiysin...
