Kallisto found the idea of mixing styles fascinating and her expression lit up with the new information as the gears of her mind set to work. But Yambati didn't need to worry. She figured that mixing styles would result in a jack-of-all-trades style of work that was alright in everything but strong in nothing and she wanted to be able to craft extraordinary potions - which would require focusing on a single type of style and mastering that.

She might learn another style to vary the potency of her potions but she wouldn't try to be super alchemist - she doubted she had the ability to do that and frankly, exploding one's self sounded less the appealing. Kallisto wasn't a stupid girl after all.

As he took her hand, she looked up frowning as he squeezed tightly. The dark expression worried her and she tilted her head, "What's wrong?"

He looked at her for a long moment, then leaned closer to murmur in her ear. "Don't do anything stupid, or I will be very, very angry." He tried to keep his voice light and joking, but the way he was holding her hand-

He was truly, honestly worried for her.

Tryna nodded and exhaled, relaxing a little. "Where was I?" She murmured aloud to herself. "Ah yes! There's one last style to cover before today's catch-up lesson is over. And that is Chiron style. Chiron style is perhaps the msot painstaking or time-consuming method of preparation, but still very rewarding. It requires you to reuse things that have been used by you before to make something else. For example, melting down an old brass snuffer to fill the brass quota needed for a mixing bowl. You've got to be very careful to clean these old implements very carefully so as not to contaminate the new potions though."

Abacus merely stared at the professor at this explanation. You had to... what? He tilted his head to one side, puzzling out not only the reason -- what could be worth the effort? There were all ready styles that lengthened the potency and length of effect, after all -- but also the general "ingredients." Absently, he wondered what would happen if a potion required a certain herb. Would he have to crush it for another potion, then set it aside as extra in order to use it? Or if a certain recipe called for basil, was it possible to salvage it from a meal? Probably not, as cleaning something like that would be hard. Not only that, if there was a foreign ingredient, it might make the potion... well, have undesirable effects, I suppose.

She laughed, "Stupid? Me? Noooooo." Kallisto could tell from the way he was gripping her hand so tightly that he was serious despite the light tone. She leaned forward as well so she could speak into his ear, "Don't worry. I won't." The sanguine was smiling but the look in her eyes was easy enough to catch. She wouldn't play with fire, at least not without great consideration.

Casting a furtive glance around, Kallisto grinned mischievously then and then stole a kiss, pecking him on the cheek as a sort of reassurance that she wouldn't do anything stupid.

Astaroth found the whole idea of the styles fascinating but didn't particularly enjoy the subject of cooking. He put much more stock in studying and knowledge and so it wasn't an important aspect of life for him. But the styles... the styles could be particularly useful for things other then Alchemy. Raising his hand, he voiced his question, "Do these styles apply to everything where something must be used in order to evoke a result? Such as crafting or science or even magic? And if so, do their benefits stay the same or are their influence greatest in the study of Alchemy?" He fell quiet then, watching Tryna intently as he waited for the answer.

Tryna nodded and shrugged. "Yeah, you can used the styles for anything that employs their prinicples. Alchemy's just a good example, because all of the styles can be applied to it. But Ceres style is important for Druidic magic, Chiron style is useful in Crafting and things like that. I mean, cummon! The benefit of Chiron style is that it causes twice the amount of antidote to remedy the effects of the potion. It also means that it can combate other potions that are of higher strength. But in the terms of Crafting! Think about it. If you use Chiron style to craft a technoequip, it can function for twice the duration! Think of allt he applications!" Tryna was boisterous again and talking with her hands the more excited she became.

Yambati gave her hand another squeeze and then loosened his grip. He'd trust her. Of course he'd trust her. She wasn't impulsive to the point of putting herself in danger, after all.

He did blink and look at her and blush slightly at the kiss, though, before smiling slightly and going back to taking notes.

Druidic magic, hmm...?

Nadyrr mentally sighed to himself, his brow furrowing and stared at his notebook. He realized he hadn't been taking notes because his mind was wandering. Tryna however did catch his attention as she became more and more enthused over her subject matter; this brought a small smile to Nadyrr's lips and he quickly took down the notes as she spoke, he didn't quite get everything that was being said but if she was this excited about it there must be something useful in it.

Nadyrr knew he had things to make potions back in his room, he hadn't brought all his tools with him to class. Watching Tryna he considered finding someone to at least show him an easy potion. Perhaps then he could pick up a spark for it.

Taking a quick glance at Nadyrr she smiles before she pulls a piece of paper from her notebook. Quickly writing on it "I will let you borrow my notes after class" she folds it before slipping it carefully to Nadyrr. By far she was liking the different styles, but was having a hard time choosing which one she liked the most.

Glancing over at the professora she chuckles as she place leans closer. She thought about her last few statement then tried to apply them to some of the things she like. It made sense to her, that each style in some way she could use.

Nadyrr took the note a little hesitately, opening it quickly read it over. Not wanting to draw attention to himself he answered with a smile and a slight nod. He was right she was a nice person...he wondered if reading her notes would actually be useful to him. Well only one way to figure that out he supposed.

Settling in Nadyrr took a moment to glance at the clock and then back to the professor. He really wished he could match Tryna's enthusiasm for well any of the subjects.

Daggart listened intently to Tryna's message. That was really interesting! Granted he didn't like cooking but he had enjoyed crafting... so maybe.... maybe he could learn these styles and apply them to crafting! He liked the recyling one, it seemed the most helpful as it would give an outlet to those things already existing within the city.

With a thoughtful expression, he tuned the class out and imagined taking one thing and turning it into another, more useful item.

---

Astaroth nodded and noted down those alternate applications, frowning slightly as he tried to figure out some way of incorporating the Styles into magic... He'd have to look into this. Any way to strengthen one's magic in unexpected ways would be a bonus.

---

Kallisto nodded, smiling at Tryna's enthusiam. When druidic magic was mentioned, she glanced over at Yambati, noting the interested expression. That wasn't surprising at all, really. He loved plants and was good at the job he did, it only followed that me might try to pursue such a path. Patting him, she grinned encouragement before bending to her own notes. She liked these styles and couldn't really wait to try one out with her potions.

As the students clustered in the hall and discussed their suspicions and fears, Professor Bardane approached down the hallway, his hoofs click-clicking on the stone tile.

"Greetings children," He addresses you, his voice crisp and cool as always. "Any progress on this search?"

Post this in the Teacher's Lounge, address Bardane in Character.

Antigone gave a bit of a shiver as the Law Professor addressed them. Golden eyes downwards, she murmured a soft greeting. "Hello, Professor. We've been talking things over, but I don't think anyone has come up with an answer, just yet..."

Bardane looked up from his book in the Teacher's Lounge. "What on earth are you talking about?" He asked, wondering why the student had come to find him, answering a question he'd never asked.

Yambati held a few pieces of paper in his hands, pacing outside of the Teacher's Lounge. He thought that his Hybrid design was good, but he was still nevous. He'd observed pictues of the different parts he wanted to use, and he'd drawn them as best as he could. But would it be understandable?

Biwa, meanwhile, was hurrying over, her sketchbook clutched to her chest. She slowed, then stopped, though, when she saw Yambati. "Ahh..."

Yambati glanced up, over at Biwa. "... Here to turn in that Botany assignment?" he asked, glancing down at the sketchbook in her arms.

Biwa nodded, and approached when Yambati beckoned. After an exchanged nervous glance on both sides, they entered the room.

Professora Quenda sat in the centre of the room in a large overstuffed armchair embroidering flowers onto a shirt sleeve when the students entered. Quenda looked up briefly and flashed a warm and welcoming smile.

"Hello there, young ones." She called out to them, continueing to work on a rossette. "What can I help you with today?"
