Ouen: 6

"Sounds good." Ouen nodded. Everything in moderation. Or cautious excess, at the very least.

They ventured towards the front lines, but stopped short of all the fighters. They stayed amongst the tents, where Ouen figured they would be able to escape (or hide, at the very least) if anything went wrong.

"Don't suppose we have too much to worry about." He reassured Kalli, waving at all the armed earthlings (and alks). "With all these fighters, whatever them things are won't make much of a dent. Assuming they gets down from up there. Can't shoot at 'em if they ain't in range. Seems like them's coming down closer, don't it, though?"

They were. Within a few minutes the things -- some kind of craft, obviously -- were on the ground, and earthlings disembarking to attend to the one that was smoking. Most of them had their features hidden by hats and things, except the two that approached the elders.

"Well, guess you don't see that every day." Ouen quirked an eyebrow. "I was kinda hopin' for a fight, though."

Volkarosh Post 2
Location: Hiding with Arronthain

Volkarosh contemplated his answer. Well, it was too be expected. There was too much to see, too much forest. A tree could be lost. But did one look for the tree or take advantage of the forest and hide...?

She needed to stop thinking in metaphors and make a decision. "Lets go closer." she said, slipping out of their shelter and moving forward to the next hiding place. She beckoned him to follow. "Come on." She at least wanted to see what was making such a fuss, and why there was suddenly a very different tension in the air.

Callum ll 6

He tried not to make his battle ready actions known to the crowd around him. So many were still shopping and letting loose with their families that he dared not end that if he didn't have to. Hopefully this wouldn't be anything drastic, but just in case-

"If there's one thing Sol's good at, it's defending himself."
Callum smirked. As a father he would always worry for the safety of his children, but he also wouldn't discredit his son. Before Sol had chosen to take on magic of his own he had been a spear hunter, so if worse came to worse the boy could handle his own.

He led the way through the crowd and away from the festivities where the leaders had gathered. Several others were in the area, which was good; the more hands, the better. It was there that he drew his blade, awaited orders and did as he was told; moving to guard the tents, along with the other melee fighters.

And through the smoke...two figures appeared. Callum's hoary eyes widened, grip loosening somewhat on his sword as his mouth drooped. Were those...? Earthlings...? And from flying ships?!

"Goddess..."

Sol ll 6

While the two hustled through the growing throng of bodies, Sol reached into his cloak to free a set of beads he had kept safe from thieving hands. They were worn, obviously second hand, but good enough for a beginning mage.

By the time they had reached the alkidikes other daughter, the one named Masika, he was mostly prepared for whatever was coming their way. Sol kept looking over his shoulder, watching as best he could for signs with little success. He simply couldn't see that far, and through so many people...

Clucking his tongue, he turned back to Masika and...another alkidike that he hadn't been aware of. Or was she a hybrid? He'd never seen anyone look like that before...

And for that matter, he hadn't seen anyone like Masika, either, but that was neither here nor there. "V'demhe is with my father on the front lines; somethings happening-" He cut himself off abruptly as a member of what he assumed to be 'crowd counter' went by. They were trying their best to keep the masses from panicking, which was good in a way, but Sol was glad he was aware.

Awareness meant he wouldn't be caught off guard.

The Only Black Uke

Hargitt || 3

"Trouble."

There had been an aspect of him that wanted to avoid the coming storm, but once he noticed individuals mingling through the crowd, helping to calm them down while others moved towards a common area...

...armed individuals...

...Hargitt decided that was his time to move.

He reached for Jakkoa's hand and pulled him along behind him. Hargitt followed the path made by the other fighters; the ones who had noticed whatever was happening and in that moment he noticed their leaders converging just outside of the tents, moving themselves towards-

"Goddess above..."
The murmured words slipped out when he saw it. On instinct he didn't release Jakkoa; rather, he held onto his hand in a slightly tighter grip. Something was falling from the sky! And their leaders were calling for troops...

Leaving him at a crossroads. As an archer he needed to take a post closer to the front lines, but leaving Jakkoa behind could possibly mean losing him should things get hectic. Hargitt tried to rationalize that his worry was simply that of a guardsman, but perhaps there was a little more...?

He released Jakkoa's hand with a torn look, murmured something about him staying safe, and moved up to stand in place with his fellow archers. Practiced fingers reached for an arrow before knocking it into his bow, waiting for the order to strike...that never came.

And while the order never came, two new earthlings surely did.

The sudden mass of people swarming around and rise in panic seemed to cause Shima to pause. She looked to her brother who was knocked down and went to Jhena's side to help pick him back up. She looked around wondering what the best thing to do was.

None of them had weapons to help fight, even if she would figure out a way to make it work. Hiding may be the best option, even if she didn't like it.

"maybe...its for the best.." Shima stated slowly beforethe things in the sky became clearer. It wasn't some beasts...they seemed to be well she didn't even know how to describe it. Floating in the sky they were coming to land...and people were inside.

Standing close to her siblings she looked in awe as two figures emerged, both female with interesting skin and hair tones.

"oooo...look! People!" She felt excited seeing these new people.

Arron post 2

Arron slunk with her, then some of his mother's genetics seemed to kick in, the air didn't feel threatening, and if it wasn't some fire breathing creature that meant something else, and something else was less scary (and interesting), so he used a bit of his extra inches to crane his neck over some shoulders get a peek at what was going on over there, his dark eyes unfathomable and startled as he returned to his sister.

"There are two different people over there, not us different but different again...and weird machines, which I already don't like." But the people were interesting.

Ergon 5

With the arrival of the ships and new beings, Ergon nearly completely forgot about his argument. From his vantage point, he had no idea what the intentions of these newcomers were. They sure had shown up with grandeur. ..He didn't trust them one bit.

He glanced at the hybrid he'd been arguing with and snorted. She wasn't worth the distraction. He spun away without a word, heading instead for where he had seen Riya last. Good; it looked like they were on the move already. "Riya!" He darted after them, reaching to put a hand on Riya's shoulder in a gently protective manner.

Eirlys - Post 6

The couple was halfway to the stall when Eirlys turned to see the things...land. She stopped Huyana with a hand on his arm. "I think they landed near the leaders...should we go investigate or keep to our course?"

She didn't care much either way.

Rhonann 4

Standing with the other archers, her crossbow primed and ready, she watched the cloud get closer. Then.. it wasn't a cloud. Her heart began to thud against her ribs. Those were flying carriages! Or, something like that... She couldn't quite comprehend what she was seeing. Instinctively, she kept her crossbow up and ready, but her hands were gripping the handle too tightly to lift a finger for the trigger.

Earthlings... Or, things that looked like earthlings... Then they began to speak! Friends?! Simply?! What was going on?!

Drexl - Post 6

Drexl gently pushed his brother back. "Protecting you is my job, don't forget I'm older. I refuse to allow anything to happen to you while I'm around. You can be everyone else's hero but your still my little brother." he was serious. Then as things wound up and down he blinked. He was glad they didn't rush out there...though new people.

He glanced to his brother. "Should we go out now? Their...new...tribes it looks like...I don't want to get in the leaders way..."

Kalliope Post 7

She walked with him, curious about everything that was happening, but made sure to keep him between her and whatever it was that was in the sky. He told her there was nothing to worry about as he motioned to the rest of the crowd that had gathered. Lots of them were armed. The Oban dancer nodded, feeling safe enough just with him but wanting to let him know that she understood his meaning. Keeping close to Ouen she watched the thing in the sky as it came lower and lower. "Is it a beast of some kind?" No, as it got closer she could see that there were people and when the thing landed with a thud she squeaked. "Sweet Essd.." She could only stare as the other things landed and earthlings came running out. Kalli moved closer to Ouen then, not sure how she felt about this.

The things that had landed looked similar to ships that sailed on water but these had just been in the air. "No, that is most definitely not something you see every day..." And to be honest she wasn't so sure if she wanted to. Her red gaze went to the two that seemed to be approaching the leaders of the Tendaji tribes. They were different from any other earthling she had seen before. Yellow skin but a different hue than the Alkidikes, orange hair but not red enough to be considered close to he Obans, the other had dark skin and green hair. First they had discovered the Yaeli, the purple haired islanders with glowing eyes, and now these people. Where were they from? As far as Kalliope knew all of Tendaji had been explored and mapped.

She was pulled from her thoughts when Ouen said that he had been hopng for a fight. She gave a smirk and shook her head at him. "How about I fight with you later? Will that work?" It was her attempt to make things a little less... overwhelming.

V'demhe Post 7

She smiled at Callum as he praised his son. "Of course." She hadn't meant to say that the boy wasn't capable, just that her daughter would be helpful. The alkidike followed after the wind hybrid and made sure that she showed nothing but calm to the crowd as they passed. As they reached the front lines she watched the sky and what was coming down.

After all was said and done she heard Callum's partial swear and she nodded her head in agreement. "Agreed.." Her black eyes stayed fixated on the new earthlings for some time before going toward the ships that had landed. "Don't suppose Wind lore mentions anything like this?" She knew there was certainly no mention of it in her culture.

Masika Post 6

Before she could find her mother she noticed that her little sister was with someone. Masika blinked a few times but nodded as he told her that her mother was with his father. They must be friends then? She looked up at the sky then back down to the male holding onto her sister. "If my mother sent my sister this way then we need to move away from everything just in case." The blue hybrid bent down and collected Valharii up into her arms protectively. "I'm Masika and thank you for walking with Valharii." She reached up and smoothed the little girl's hair with one hand.

Her aunt, Keket, looked the boy over. He was interesting. Then again she was a melanin Alk. When Masika cleared her throat and made a motion for Keket to lead the way the dark alk looked away from Sol. The gentle hybrid then looked at the boy with a smile. "Are you coming with us? I just want to get Val away from any danger."

Issaly - Post 6

The Healer blinked as they walked up. Stopping he glanced to Aysun. "Those are so not beasts..." he actually sighed a little. "I was actually hoping they were beasts." he crossed his arms lightly then his eyes went wide. There was smoke. He found that his hand went to grasp Aysun's arm.

"A-ah...do you think we should go near. I wonder if everyone's alright on board." he fretted.
