An extremely wry expression suddenly grew on his face, smiling almost way too largely for one of his size, and eyes widening a tad too much. " But I am playing. They just can't catch me! 8} " he insisted, rocking side to side gleefully. It wasn't his fault they didn't know what game he decided they would now be playing. Right?
His own features reacted as hers did, antenna springing up again at the lights she produced, instantly making him lean in very close to stare, "Whoa, how did you do that?!" he whispered, staring and waiting for the lights to flicker again. Ah but now there was something else to be alert to, tipping his head down to the offered candies. Sticking his hand in, he plucked out three, letting them sit in his stretched out palm, "Thanks, these look good." stuffing all three in his mouth, his attention was once again veered off as someone walked by with a large box of plushies, a few toppling out. Snatching up another bat plush, he gave a victorious grin to Sae, tucking it under his arm.
"Ok. Lesh play shome gamesh!" the candies in his mouth made his speech alter, as he tried shifting them around in his cheeks, giggling with delight at how yummy they were. Taking her hand, he resumed staring at her intently, expectantly, even.

Brows rising slightly, he tilted his head the other way curiously. "Hm~?" he hummed. "Sorry? What for~? You haven't done anything wrong~" he giggled faintly. When the adorable little snake popped its head up, Nereus brightened. "Oh~! How cuuute~" he cooed, a hand extending in offering to the coatl. But he looked over as Sarren produced something from his pack, making him straighten back up, and eyes widen with surprise. "For me~?" he was shocked, smile lifting even more, "Thank you so much, I love it~!" he blissfully accepted the plush, hugging it to him, and giggling with how cute its face was.
Just then, he noticed something also took an interest in the plush, blinking down when he saw... another coatl nosing the plush, inspecting it. Looking back up to Sarren, his mouth was shaped in an o formation, "Is this one yours as well~?"

The instant attention his mother gave, made a small smile rise with the smooth stroke through his silky hair. But before he could say or do anything more, Aten had hoisted him up, and made the little hybrid feel a wash of relief, appreciative of the additional affection he was adorned with. With the close embrace, he naturally gripped his tiny hands to the fluffy, comforting ruff his father sported, nuzzling their foreheads endearingly for the moment they were pressed. "I'm ok, papa." he quietly assured. He'd been scared in the crowd on his own, but was glad to be back in his family pack.
As Smolder earned some more firm words from Aten, Anubis snuggled against the fluff he held to, peeking back at his other dad who seemed quite astonished by the conversation. Anubis himself hadn't heard them talk like this before...
Once his tiny feet touched the ground again, he looked up at his parents, one at a time to try and figure out what was going on, but was distracted with Malikah's exclamation, making his large ears perk. Matched? Oh! Stunned to see that two of brothers had the same plushes as he did, he smiled more and held up the little fuzz bug too, "Yeah, they're really cute, huh?" he giggled lightly, peeking over to Rhys. Oh... he didn't have one though.... A few fingers placed at his chin as he thought to himself, peeking back behind him. Maybe he could find one for him too.
Ah! but first... side-eyeing Smolder and Aten one more time, he tiptoed over to his mama, gently holding to the edge of her dress in a natural habit of his, smoothing the fabric between his fingers idly, "Are papas ok..?" he asked quietly. Both looked upset... but in different ways.
Allumin found himself edging towards a open area between two of the festival booths. He was concerned he might have been blocking the flow of traffic. Goodness but there were a lot of others here! It occurred to Allumin that being sequestered away all the time in his dorm studying hadn't prepared him for just how busy this place could be. As he stood in his little out of the way corner, Allumin's eyes drifted towards another vendor who apparently was selling another color of the Jackalope plushie. Allumin chewed on his bottom lip as he tried, and failed, to resist the urge to purchase another one. Groaning some, Allumin pointed at a lovely purple one and mumbled under his breath for it's purchase. Having two plushies was okay, right? It wasn't like he had a dorm mate to pick on him for his obvious preference.

Syndri found themselves at another game. Smiling, Syndri threw the ring, trying their best at getting it on the little pole but sucked terribly. The ring bounced and Syndri gave a pouting little whine. The attendant felt so bad that they gave him the prize anyway. Syndri smirked and put on a bright smile. "Thanks!"
If Maggie was being 100% honest with herself the Jubilee event was somewhat terrifying for her. It was like a massive overload of introduction to this brand new world. The technology that surround her and the various new (yet not really new) Nightmares and even Daydreams (what?!) were such an overwhelming culture shock. However, life back home was getting monotonous and with their older siblings leaving the roost as well Maggie and Atoris had wanted to tag along. After all, they couldn't let their older sibling go out into the world alone!
At least Maggie had her younger brother to cling to for the event. She held her hand in his tightly as they made their way around. There were all sorts of things to see and games to play. However what caught her attention first was a table full of shiny jewelry. It was free for them to take so she picked out a heart shaped locket. She's love to get a picture of her siblings to place in there! Not all of them of course, she had way too many for that, but the ones that had journeyed from home with her at least!

Atoris held tight to his sister's hand as they came onto the festival grounds. All of the lights and sounds were so much more than anything he remembered from back home. He really wasn't sure what to make of all of it, but he held tight to the belief that if he wanted to understand the other races that this was the best place to start. "Do you think they're nice?" He asked in a near whisper, keeping himself as close to her as he could.

This was to be her first big Holiday spent away from home. Normally Lori really enjoyed parties and having a lot of fun with her family and friends. However, this would also mark her first Holiday without her parents. She had been against going out all together, but Bailey was trying his hardest to keep her spirits up. So out of love for her twin she had managed to roll out of bed that day and attend the festival within the Academy. It was her first even at the Academy as well and she had to admit that it was a rather glamorous occasion. She hadn't really expected Ava to go this out for the event.
There were plenty of games and free events going on for anyone to participate in. It was amazing what all the event coordinators had managed to fit inside of the building. She didn't really know where to begin, but for the time being she held on to Bailey's hand as they wandered around. She knew she'd be safe there at least. She'd definite;y find him the perfect gift as well!
ANYONE!
OPEN FOR STUFF
Bailey knew there were plenty of reasons for him and his sister to be sad that day. However, that was all the more reason he wanted to make her happy today! His sister deserved to be happy after all they'd been through in the past couple of months. Needless to say their lives had changed rather drastically. But he remembered how lively and fun his sister used to be and he was trying his hardest to find that in her again, for her sake.
A table full of lockets caught his attention and she tugged Lori over to them. The gold and red one caught his attention the most. "I think this would be perfect for you Lori!" He clipped it on for her and smiled, earning on in return. Small steps, but at least she was smiling!
Looking at the newcomer that came rushing up to Rae, Citali suddenly had the urge to run. She'd only just recently gotten used to the idea of interacting with one person, and being friends with them, but here was a second person now trying to talk. "Uh..uh...w...w..well I w..was just g..g..getting r..ready to um well uh, um, leave." Her face felt like it was burning as she stuttered and stammered. There was no way she could handle a multi-person interaction. She was not ready for that. Maybe it was time to go back her room and read a book.
They were not excited to be here. Another event...full of people just trying to get closer to their friends and trying to get junk food and materialistic things. This was the epitome of a horrible event for them. Sure they liked gatherings, it was really interesting to see everyone and just people watch. It was another to kind of be pushed into it though. They looked around the room, scrunching their nose at the sight of everything.
Ugh. Why was something like this a norm for their race? As they were just walking around, taking in the ambiance of everything a wisp floated over to them. "Hmm...are you interested in what's going on too? You can follow me around if you want to." It was pretty cool that a wisp approached them so fast, Lilo couldn't help but smile innocently at the little wisp.
The were actually enjoying their people watching when they were horribly interrupted. Their hairstyle? Really? That was the first thing the Imp wanted to ask? "Hmm...? Oh I'm sorry. Were you talking to me? I couldn't see you because my hair was in my eyes." They responded sarcastically. Normally they were pretty polite but that was just kind of a rude way to start a conversation. "Oh dear, where are my manners? My name's Lilo, what would your name be? Oh wait...where did you disappear to?" They couldn't help the childish giggle that followed. They loved messing with people.

Not good. This was very not good. Sure Esrael was comfortable with Burvia, but he knew that Citali would not be...not at all. "A-Ah...thanks Burv...I really love it! I got you a gift too!" He handed her the yellow locket that he had grabbed for her. "Though...it's not ready yet! I was going to put a picture of me and Jo in it..." He took the ring and blushed slightly, feeling a little embarrassed that he wasn't giving her the full gift yet. "Oh! Burv, this is Citali! I met her in the cafeteria..."
He started to notice how uncomfortable Citali was getting. Citali! Please, don't go! Burvia is really nice! I think you guys might get along if you gave it a chance. If you really feel that uncomfortable, you can go, but please don't leave because of us..." The Fallen felt really bad about the situation he had put her in, but still...Burvia was really nice and Citali was really nice...they could get along...right?
It was really cool that he had found something that looked like one of his familiars. She got a little sad, her familar stayed back in the city she grew up in with her parents. Maybe she could find her own familiar?! Ah that would be so cool! A familar of her very own! Nef giggled a little more girlishly than she wanted at the thought of it. Hopefully there would be some Vespercats in this city too! "I bet your Nezubat is suuuuuuper cute, Freddy! I really want a fmailiar of my own! I had to leave mine behind and I miss him so much!" She was sure that she'd get one of her own some day!
Just as the thought crossed her mind she felt something rub up against her leg. "Ah! A vespercat! Look at it even matched my stuffed animal!" She knelt down and began to pet it, rubbing it gently around the ears and under it's chin. She did get a familair of her own! This vespercat seemed to really like her!
Brownies? What were brownies? She had never really been allowed sweets so all of this 'candy' thing was new to her. "Jaw...breakers...? That sounds kind of dangerous, don't you think?" With slight hesitation she took one of the humongous candies from him, looking it over careffully before popping it into her mouth, immediately biting down on it just as he told her not to. "Ow ow ow! Why would they make something that tastes so good but hurts so bad? That is like, so not fair!" Nefertiti pouted as she held her jaw, trying to soothe the pain coursing through it.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, Freddy! You gave me something cool, I need to win you something now! Let's go play some games together? If you don't wanna that's fine, I promise I'm going to win something for you though!" She smiled at him, she really wanted to show him how much it meant to her that he approached her.

As they walked around the festival, there were so many colorful things that drew the grimm's attention. One would almost think he'd get whiplash from how often his head would swivel around to see everything there was to see. "Hang on, boo, I wanna see something," he said and walked over to a table full of multicolored boxes. Inside each box was an assortment of chocolates. Mmm chocolate. He wondered if Matty liked chocolate. With a grin, he bought the most colorful box and turned around to give it to Matty. Except he wasn't there. Now where could he have gotten off to...

Darrah was sitting near a wall, his plushies on his lap, as he watched Nightmares and Daydreams pass him by. His sharp eyes caught sight of loose shoelaces that could be tied together, cups that would be easily spilled, and countless other things he could do to cause trouble. What he didn't see was the coatl slithering up next to him until she rubbed her head against his arm. He gasped and jumped, which made the pretty pink coatl shy back a bit. "Aww, it's okay, you just scared me for a sec," he said and held out a piece of his brownie out. The coatl eased back toward him and took the proffered sweet before coiling around his arm as if claiming him. Darrah giggled. "Guess you're mine now, huh? Hope you like spectrefoxes and salamanders," he told her.
Bibiana walked around a little bit more, happily petting her new familiar as she took in the sights. "What do you think we should do first, hm?" she asked the purring furball in her arms. The pink and white cat flicked his tail at a nearby table and Bibi walked over to it to see what they had. Such beautiful bracelets, she couldn't resist picking up a pink one and paying for it. "Just couldn't resist this one," she giggled as she slid it on her wrist. At home, it would join the many others she had gotten from the Winter Solstice party.
