Sailor Fenrir, Senshi of Werewolves

She had been drinking her tea, trying to relax after having just finished studying for tomorrow's quiz. At first she'd thought it was something in her tea. A strange effect? It was an herbal blend that was supposed to induce a relaxed state. But then it didn't go away. It was a feeling. One she couldn't quite explain. And the more she tried to ignore it, the more jittery she became.

The feeling wasn't going away. But she had a quiz tomorrow, damnit!

Groaning and setting her tea aside, Kodi went out to her balcony. It was easy enough to slip down the fire escape and into the darker alley. And then she powered up while on the go ("Fenrir Power, Make Up!").

Bounding to the rooftops - it was so much faster then weaving through the streets and alleyways - Sailor Fenrir headed in the direction that Pull was coming.

She wasn't all too surprised to suddenly find herself in the midst of many other Senshi. And knights too. So they ALL had felt it? Frowning a little, she maneuvered around until she spotted certain fox senshi. Right. Up. Front. SIGH.

Weaseling up behind her, Fenrir spoke quietly to the other senshi. "Inari, what the heck is goin' on here?" It was only then that she noticed the figure in the cloak. That was speaking. That feeling... "Who the hell is that?"

She totally wasn't caught up on this conversation, but seeing the crystals appear made Fenrir peer more closely around Inari. They looked like little charms! Charms they could energize to help this stranger? And just what would he do with all those charged charm crystals?

Sailor Lacrimosa

No, Caedus certainly did not mean energy drinks like the red bull under her bed. And had Lacrimosa knew what she was thinking, probably would have told her as such. As it was she was making a mental note to have a talk with Inari when all of this was said and done.

The kit was a very curious and troublesome one and she was going to have to make sure she knew this wasn't a game. There was nothing wrong with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge but one could not afford to go into something without considering the risks.

Sinistra, thankfully, was already well versed in that.

Actually, right now, she really just wanted to take them both far away and leave them in safety. Then maybe come back and deal with this whole situation without having to worry about them. Especially Inari.

Her little kit was going to give her grey hairs if she didn't learn some precaution.

Precaution she really needed to think on herself. She was torn, so torn, on what to do in the case of Caedus. Giving him the energy he needed to get him home sounded like the best possible choice but how much would it take? How would it affect them?

How could he even get them into the Rift? How could they trust he wouldn't abandon them down there once he had the energy he needed.

She wanted to help but the last time she'd done something like that innocent aliens had been slaughtered. That was something you couldn't just move on from, not really.

She needed to move on though, needed to not let that one incident stop her from doing what she needed to. Wasn't there a quote about how the price of inaction was far greater then the cost of making a mistake? But what greater mistake was there then the loss of lives?

But if she could prevent the loss of more lives by doing this?

Depending on an answer she could come up with, Sinistra was likely going to have an aneurysm.

But for now she was going to wait, because others much more experienced then her had far too many good points and she wanted to hear his response.

Lady Yukaharu
she's not even sure what to do with you right now, Inari. lol

Palatine was so surprised she almost wasn't able to catch the flask. She fumbled it, but managed to make a nice save and grabbed hold of it before it could finish its descent toward the ground. She eyed Sessrumnir and showed him a look of disbelief.

“Do you always keep this stashed away?” she asked.

She was pretty sure the answer was “yes.”

She also didn't really mind.

She felt a little shitty contemplating drinking on the job when her niece was standing right there, but sometimes it really was better to have a drink before dealing with this s**t. If she'd known what she was in for when she headed out that night, she would have had a drink ahead of time. Unfortunately now she was stuck here and having a bad case of morals. Her niece was here, her daughter was here, her son-in-law was here, she was pretty sure Sessrumnir's kid brother was here, and there was sill a chance this whole gathering could blow up into another hellish fight.

It was not the best time to be drinking.

If it'd just been the two of them patrolling a random street, sure. But this situation just seemed like a really big Nope.

With a disappointed look at the flask, Palatine tossed it back to Sessrumnir. “Thanks but no thanks,” she said.

At least he wasn't being insufferable. She was actually really amused by his commentary, she just didn't show it.

“You're going to fall on your a** if a fight breaks out,” she told him. “You reek. How much have you had to drink?”

Even as the stranger spoke more words, offered more information, it did not calm Nirvana's soul. He did not like this, do not like how this was going. If they were to need to become what they fought in order to beat them, there was no way he would take part in it.

As his namesake implied, he strove for balance, perfection in his life, and to claim that which was not his to take certainly did not get him anywhere closer to that ultimate goal. He was a knight, just as those he fought against were. It was true they fought on different sides, but there was a respect there now that had been earned through one particular meeting.

As mention came of volunteers to know what this method felt like, Nirvana perked. To offer such a thing was dangerous, but it was a show of faith. He glanced to Phact and those nearby him, he cocking his head to the side in thought before speaking. "I will take that leap. Let him test his crystal on me, that way we will know what it is that we are dealing with." He let his eyes rest fully on Phact, his own set hard as stone. "What think you of this plan?"

The more she heard, the more Kastra tensed. he placed a hand over her heart, breathing deeply as she remembered the feeling of that cold hand reaching for her chest. No, she couldn't do it, she couldn't steal that which was not given.

It took but a moment before she fell to the ground, tears in her eyes as she clung to the brooch at her chest. "No...no this isn't right.." She winced and shook her head, her memories of that first battle still so strong that the fear washed over her. "No one deserves that, no one deserves to have that innocence, that life taken, even if it will give an upper hand to good." She bit her lip until it bled, looking up and shaking. "We are doing well enough....balance...we are keeping balance..."

He would have been looking to Valhalla, assuming that since the other was offering that he was doing the right thing. He thought it already but to have someone else saying the same thing and offering the same thing. It backed up his choice and made him pleased about it, even though he knew Erebus had followed him and was offering also. he smiled at that, might have said something, but some other knight stepped forward and his dark eyes turned on them. Narrowed and not at all pleased with the words, which he thankfully understood.

"He said all are safe. So I can offer and will. Not for you to tell me what to do or think me lesser, or weak." His accent was heavy but the words cold. He had taken those words as something of an insult and was acting as such. It did make him smile though when he heard Ganymede speak up but he was comforted by the hand on his shoulder. His eyes though were still trained on Babylon, insulted and annoyed with the other, he held his ground though with his offer still standing even as Ganymede made her own offer.

"Offer still stands." He chipped in." He would help if he could. While he didn't want all of chaos destroyed, some could surely be saved and there was a balance which was needed in the world, he would help remove those would cause other people pain and suffering. He didn't think of the balance which the code spoke of, as he'd never seen nor heard it, but rather the cosmic sort of balance where you needed one to have the other...both were absolute needs for peace and harmony. Things obviously were not in balance and he would help if he could to restore it.

Inari nodded and accepted his words as he spoke. Listening had never been a strong point of hers, but this man had her full attention. And then he made the crystals appear. The shimmer and shine caught her eye and she seemed to lean forward. If she could compare them to anything she had ever seen on earth, they would have been the finest quality of any gem to exist, in her opinion. There was something almost ethereal to them in her eyes. "They're beautiful Caedus...." She spoke his name as you would the name of a friend, finding nothing wrong in any of this due to her inexperience. Oh how Lacrimosa would change that later. The poor senshi of Cherry blossoms was probably having a heart attack and her hair was likely going grey by the second!

She went to step forward slightly but paused as she heard a familiar voice. A smile brightened her face and she turned slightly to her friend. "Fenrir!" She greeted the fellow canine senshi with a brief one-armed hug before putting a finger to her lips as she listened to what was going on. Nodding slightly as he explained the crystals, the young girl was thoroughly intrigued. She glanced back at Lacrimosa, giving her a small, nervous smile, before squeezing Fenrir's arm and stepping forward slightly towards the man. "I....I might not have much, nor would it likely be too strong or useful to you....but if you would have it, I would offer mine."

Stepping forward slowly, she moved to stand beside the other willing ones that had already seemed to form a group. She smiled a little nervously to Hugbell whom she had found herself beside. She seemed nice and rather kind. Or at least from what she could tell. She nodded to the others as well in a small greeting. She would really need to make a point of learning names later.

Troy, Squire of Chronos

Troy couldn't help but c**k a brow at all those volunteering. The blonde wasn't always the smartest of the bunch, but his understanding was that volunteers would have their energy drained to uncertain outcomes as a measure to open some passage to the Negaverse's evil lair, which is probably heavily guarded and highly dangerous.

Even Troy knew that wasn't smart, and the only good thing he ever got on his report card was ketchup.

"I don't think y'all should be volunteerin' to kill yourselves or whatever just to go and die when we get there," the tall muscular man started. His voice was naturally loud, and his height and build always lent him some level of presence. "I don't know much, but I know stranger danger. And sounds to me like this guy is askin' ya kids to get in his van."

((Slieve's open to interaction with anyone who want/need it~))

Slievenamon, Page of Neptune

The page held her breath twice; once when she learned of the cloaked figure's name and the second with the expectation that all of them might see his face. When the latter proposal died with some reasonable words, Slieve felt her tense shoulders drop. Despite being completely knew to this underground world, she had learned so much—of Beryl, of the Moon Queen, of chaos and Metallia. All of it sounded so complicated that even the abridged versions were hard to wrap her head around. But she loved it; loved it all the same because it was knowledge she could not partake in until now. At the sight and mention of the crystals, even the one showed to the throng surrounding the cloaked figure, her heart throbbed again. Slieve wanted to learn more about this instrument and its uses as well.

Sailor Cadmus, Chibi Senshi of Cranberries

Cadmus stood at the mention of the name Caedus, confusing it for his own. However, as he ran his eyes from right to left taking in the murmur of voices on the rise, he realized it was not him after all. Settling his red gaze on the cloaked figure, he let it lingered a little too long.

"So that's his name, huh..." he said aloud to no one in particular. "His name is... well... I sorta expected something cooler."

The sight of the crystals and their explanation piqued his interest, though he wasn't sure of the importance of masking auras and their great importance in the first place. To him, they were just pretty little trinkets Caedus was carrying around. He still wanted one though; just for the heck of it. It'd be a good souvenir to take home after all of this hubbub was through.

When he noticed the familiar face of Sailor Etamin, he smiled. "Hey there," he said. "I... I really don't have much to say, aha... I've only been listening, not putting my word in. I'd rather just learn from right here. A lot of the discussion is going in one ear and out the other."

Super Aegir, Senshi of Silence

Intent as he was on the goings on, the tap to his hip surprised Aegir enough that he missed how Caedus flinched from the energy-bleeding items offered by the royals. Being distracted wasn't necessarily a good idea just then, but he couldn't ignore the girl trying so hard to speak into his ear.

Aegir shifted a bit so he could speak with Ambrosia as well as keep an eye on Caedus, Thraen, and the group surrounding. "This fellow, Caedus, is offering us a chance to strike at Metallia...a potentially dangerous, deadly chance. But a chance. In exchange for energy." Sounded simple enough, right?

"It's complicated, because we can't just trust his intentions...and it might not work at all even if we did." The girl didn't look heavy, and she clearly wanted to see what was going on. "If you like, I can lift you up? It's easier to hear from higher up." That would put him at a disadvantage if Thraen - or anyone - ended up casting, but it would also give him the ability to get her out.

"So they aren’t all out for blood? That’s nice to know." Though he couldn’t help but take any information offering by the Negaverse as slightly dubious. Yet someone, the thought of really being some alien from a far off star, didn’t seem that weird. “Never mind, apparently she’d dead.” Or at least according to some of people. Poor robed dude had his work cut out for him making sense of everyone talking a the same time.

He grinned back at her but he was busy thinking, wondering how this would effect him. This strange arrival was offering them a chance to strike at the heart of the Negaverse and there was a clear line between those who thought it was terrible and those who were considering it an actual option, with a few like himself and Sedna scattered in between.

Why not though? Granted he didn’t have enough information to make an educated decision but this was also his chance to step into some serious magical business.

"I think everyone is more question than answers," he said finally, head still inclined towards hers. "He said the energy deal shouldn’t hurt. What do you reckon? He legit?" This could all be a ruse. Get them all in one place and spring the trap.

Myrrha, Sailor Senshi of Scents

Myrrha had said her piece for now. She was still uneasy about the idea of giving this Caedus energy. Instead of asking more questions though Myrrha focused on what she had been attempting to do so from before. As she approached Cassiopeia the other senshi spotted her and waved her over. Drawing nearer still Myrrha sighed softly and ran a hand through her hair. "I'm doing okay. It is good to see you around as well."

Myrrha dropped the cheerful note to her voice before bowing her head slightly. "Look, I had hoped I'd see you again. I feel that I still need to apologize for turning on you in that Christmas Eve fight. I'm really really sorry."

Myrrha raised her eyes to look Cassiopeia in the eyes and she hoped that the other would accept her apology. Although considering the greeting that had been given there was hope that she had already been forgiven. Turning her body sideways Myrrha kept an eye on Caedus. She saw the object that had appeared and stared at the people that seemed willing to be guinea pigs for some sort of demonstration. Instead of reacting though Myrrha once again faced Cassi. Her voice was low as she spoke again. "Do you think that this is a good idea? Giving up our energy to Caedus?"

Chibi Ambrosia

"Ehhh!?"

A chance to strike right in the center of the Negaverse power source!? That was great! A once in a lifetime opportunity, a chance to end it all!

And then he said the word that she dreaded the most: deadly.

Ambrosia had never really thought much about the consequences of fighting. Sure, she got hurt, other people got hurt. Hurt happened. But never once did it cross her mind that someone could die. Someone could literally cease to exist by her hands. She could cease to exist by someone else's hands. It was more than scraped knees and bruises now. For the first time, in a crowd of order aligned warriors, she thought about the larger picture. This man was offering something great, but what would the price be after the energy? How many people may not be anymore? Would any of them make it out alive?

This was a realization that she wasn't ready for.

The whole thought train left her unsettled, and when he offered to lift her up so that she could see, she felt glad. Human contact was something that would comfort her in a confusing windmill of thoughts.

"Oh will you?" she said louder, excited to see this person that was giving them such a huge and definitely dangerous chance. "I hate being so short! And this sounds like, well, the biggest deal I've ever been a part of! Even more than going to my homeworld!"

She moved closer to him so that he wouldn't have to reach to far to grab her. "I'm Ambrosia by the way." she said. If he was going to be holding her like a relative might, he might as well know her name!

He didn't trust this, plain and simple.

Aaru began to slowly back away from the group he just joined, taking a deep breath while he moved towards the familiar power signature of Methone. He made sure to keep an eye out for Erebus and Venice just in case, shaking his head while he moved. Everyone was offering up their energy just for one single "chance" to get one up on the Negaverse. Sure, he would love to have the academy back, but there had to be another way to get to it...Maybe the code knew how, but they just didn't ask the right questions back on Olympus. He felt like some how, some way, this would come back to bite them all in the a** later and he would have no part of it.

Erebus and Venice are old enough to do what they want, so he couldn't stop them.

He did agree with everything he heard from princess Ganymede though, chuckling at some of her words. They could've been said nicer, but still got the point across all the same. Not only did Aaru also feel like they were being used, but what if this Cadeus was lying? What if he was working for the Negaverse? Or, what if by helping him, they were about to bring a whole new enemy of synthetics to the war? What if he just takes all this energy straight home, skipping the Negaverse entirely? Has anyone considered these questions? Probably not. The page took a heavy sigh and poked Methone in the back of her head while giving all the other Saturn knights in the crowd a quick two finger salute. He grumbled quietly to himself:

"Dangle the hope of hitting the Negeverse where it hurts and they all come running like little sheep to help."

Aaru glared at the cloaked figure, still on guard. "They might be willing to give energy to whatever you are, going off of the promise of getting into the Negaverse, but I refuse. You will have none of mine." I do not trust you...Anything that wont reveal much about itself isn't something worth risking his life and energy for.

Cuan Oilean / Sailor Chariklo / Xibalba

Shaking Xibalba off of her shoulder, Chariklo turned and narrowed her eyes, listening intently as Caedus explained. Her eyes moved to examine the small crystal he held up. He wasn't a senshi or a knight and his world had neither because it was synthetic. How did one create a world? Still, it was an interesting tidbit of information, particularly when combined with the fact that he had multi-tasker crystals in his possession. Still, the whole explanation triggered a desire to shake her fist at the sky and ask SERIOUSLY.

"Oh my sweet ********," she muttered, "you're a goddamned Crystal Gem."

She stared at the offered crystal in his hand and listened to the wash of voices around her, heard Babylon's suggestion of only using the Transcended as guinea pigs. Which made sense, but didn't help her to feel like anything more than a washout. Bristling a little, she took a step closer and grinned crookedly up into Caedus' shadowed face.

"Nope, ******** caution. You say the drain'll stop when I ask, yeah? Okay then. Rock me."

She held out her hand, keeping her eyes on where Caedus' face would be if she could see it. Oh, she knew this could turn out very badly indeed. She just didn't much care if it meant giving all of them a ways to strike back.

------------------------------------

Cuan Oilean wailed as she felt hands catch her. She scrambled to find purpose, forcing herself to remember to keep her claws sheathed. She didn't need to tear up her unknown rescuer. Still, once she'd been set down, she leapt and bolted through the crowd until she was able to get back to her senshi and leapt up onto her familiar perch just in time to hear Castor's words about cats possibly being able to mask Caedus' power signature.

It was... an interesting puzzle and it was enough to distract her from screeching at her senshi for offering herself up as a lab animal.

After a few moments of watching Caedus and considering, she shook her head slowly.

"I couldn't mask him," she murmured regretfully. "Maybe if enough of us tried? Hard to tell."

Without taking her own eyes off of Caedus, she curled her body around Chariklo's neck like a fashionable, living boa. If she was determined to be a donor, Cuan would stay where she was and make sure that no harm came of the experiment.

--------------------------------

For one, brief, shining moment, Xibalba was tempted to throw courtesy to the winds and pick Chariklo up and drag her from the party. Sure, it would look borderline abusive and might earn him a beat down from some of those around, but it would keep her from being stupid.

And then, he heard her low, muttered snark about Crystal Gems and was forced to fake a coughing fit to cover the splutter of laughter. After a moment, he sighed and rubbed a hand over his face. He wasn't good at planning or strategy, not really. Fighting he could do. Metaphorically throwing up his hands and back off, he could do. Until they all had a clear plan, he was imply one more body in this mess.

Dammit.

Janus listened with interest. He was offering them a way in? But a way into where, and to do what? Maybe if they were able to get to the heart of the place where all of these bad things were coming from they could put and end to it all, and he could go back to be normal, regular. That would be nice.

"Maybe what he's offering isn't such a bad thing..." he started to say but that was all he managed to say. The girl he'd just met was on the ground.

He'd never been good with dealing with the emotionally distressed. Janus crouched beside Kastra and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay, no one is doing anything, yet," he looked around at the others, deep in talk with their own circles. Eventually a decision would be made.

"You don't have to do anything," he assured her. Then he noticed her lip.

"Hey! You're bleeding, here," he tore some of the lace from his cravat and handed it to her. "Put pressure on it."

Janus wasn't sure what he was expecting when he arrived to this, but it sure wasn't this, and he wasn't even sure what this was!
