Shard got up (feeling even more loopy than before) and resumed her tree-trimming duties.

“I wooden have thought yew would be such a beech to defeat...” she thought, idly as she slashed with the knife...

SMACK!!! Came the roots again...

This time Shard ended up in the (dry and trash-filled) fountain... “There!” the creature thought: “She had axed for it...”

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER "Shard" is a very physically fit 5' 10" woman who is only three months out of the Army due to a medical discharge. She has blue eyes and dark-ish blonde hair that seems messy and matted no matter how she tries to style it. She tends to dress in baggy pants (with lots of pockets) and light jackets over plain shirts... and this was *before* joining the military! She was given a medical discharge when an accident dealing with a live grenade cost her her left pinkie finger and most of the feeling in that hand.

Digging herself out from under the trash in the fountain, Shard realized she still had the energy to fight... but, why was she glowing?

She was also feeling really odd... and it wasn't from the glop that the bartender had poured on her head either... “Ugh... I'm fighting a tree-monster and I'm trunk... er... drunk.” Either worked now, Shard thought.

She hefted the knife and (once again) wished for a fully-functional and fully gassed-up chainsaw before she attacked...

“We need to get to the root of the problem,” she shouted groggily to her fellow Mallrats: “If we get it to lumber off we maple this out...”

SMACK!!! Again with the root-smack...

As she sailed across the floor, Shard mumbled “Thank Yew, thank Yew very much... with fronds like you, who needs...”

...and she hit the wall and was out like a light... she was bushed... I'm knot joking...

When Ellie returned back from getting supplies from the TV headed creature, she found the creature that had been attacking the mall was gone... And in it's place was a gigantic, beautiful tree! "W-wow..." she says in awe as she stands just outside the green area... A few other people were still attacking it, but something about it seemed mostly harmless to the shy, brown haired girl...

Ellie found herself drawn to the gigantic tree both out of curiosity and because of it's beauty... Slowly, she approached it while breathing in the fresh clean air it produced... She always had found giant trees to be so... Magical... In stories... And this tree was certainly living up to her expections! Part of her told her to be cautious as she approached, and Ellie was, in fact, on guard as she steps up to the massive trunk...

Once she was at it's base, she just stands there for a few moments as she takes in the majesty of the tree... Finally, without thinking, she reaches out and lays a hand on the sturdy trunk... Suddenly, she feels something odd! "A-ah!" she gasps in surprise as she jerks her hand back! She begins to relax however, as gentle yet bright green aura began to glow around her... The Aura was odd... She felt...
Odd... Like she suddenly knew something she hadn't known before... What that was however, she didn't know...

Frowning slightly in perplexion, Ellie looks at the peacefully swaying leaves and takes a breath of the clean air... Somehow, she felt this new aura was a blessing rather then a bane... Eventually, after musing on it for a bit, she smiles softly up at the tree before turning and heading back towards her Bookstore. The glow... It must be a blessing! She thinks cheerfully as she enters her store!
