"Your baby mama?" Mercy quipped, a little annoyed. Why did Riko do that? Why did she pass off comments like that like it was common knowledge, like Mercy should have known? How was Mercy supposed to know that Riko considered her family? It wasn't like it showed.
But Riko was right. There were more important matters at hand. Mercy wrapped the bandage around her mid-section to keep the bleeding contained and apply some pressure to the wound. "If they were going to perform a ritual, they'd wait for Shiva to be there," Mercy said. Speaking of Shiva, where'd she go? Hopefully locked up somewhere in the building, that crazy b***h. "The Den is said to be the home of the first werewolf tribe in the country," Mercy explained. "I guess it was a big deal once, but not so much anymore. Only for extremist groups who stick to the old ways. I've been there a few times. It's a deep cave."

"If you want I will call you my baby mama" Riko said trying not to smile, as she began to exit the cell, not wanting to share a room with a severed room and a pool of blood. "I was also kidding about the ritual thing, I really hope your friends aren't into creepy things like that. Riko said making a face, there was just some s**t that they couldn't be prepared for, and some cultist ritual bull s**t was very high on that list of things. "Anyway, if it's hours away we better get moving, I guess you'll be okay by the time we get there, and I guess you could tell me about this "old way" everyone keeps yapping on and on about."

"It's not that complicated," Mercy said with a shrug as they exited the makeshift interrogation room. "It just means, like... giving into primal urges and instincts. Reclaiming the role of the predator, what we're 'supposed to be.'" Mercy put finger quotes around this last part to illustrate the fact she didn't align with these views. "That's about it." Reaching the area that held most of Harry's small army, Mercy made a swirling gesture in the air with her pointer finger. "Let's move out!" Turning to Riko, she gave the girl one more quick, concerned once over and asked, "Are you okay to go? Maybe you should stay in the car once we get there..."

"Ahh! Bet they'll just love the smell of a vampire walking into their territory." Riko snorted, she knew just the type of reception she should be expecting at least, and all things considered she really wasn't as worried as she maybe should have been. Perhaps it was because no matter how bad thngs were about to get, at least they knew what they were facing, there would be no more surprises or waking up in some random cell after having the s**t kicked out of her. Or at least she thought their would be no more surprises she didn't get what the hell Mercy was talking about, what with suggesting she stay behind. "Last I checked, you were the one that got shot, unless you've found something out about me that I wasn't told, I don't see why the hell I would ever stay behind."

Mercy was concerned about Riko's physical injuries, but perhaps more so her mental health. When werewolves had free reign over a vampire... Mercy could only imagine the trauma Riko had been through. But, knowing Riko would never buy into her justifications, Mercy shrugged and said, "Nah, you're right. Just wanted to make sure you were holding up okay. Because I'm fi--" And, of course, just then the room began to spin, and Mercy fell flat on her face. Because universe.
They were close to the Den now. Mercy had asked Riko to drive, and Siobahn and Delorna and the rest of the crew were in cars behind them. This road was uncomfortably familiar to her. She remembered the last time she was here... It hadn't been a pleasant visit. "We can park up here," Mercy said, pointing. "We'll be behind the entrance. Gives us the element of surprise."

"Are you sure? I mean it is hella woodsy out here, but I do think they would be watching for us, and I don't doubt that they can at least smell me" Riko said with a shrug, though it wasn't like she planned on going anywhere, she had agreed to this plan, even if she didn't feel the success rate was very high, she wasn't going anywhere. She had come to get her daughter back, and that was final. "So how to you suppose we do this?"

Hm. Mercy was so used to Riko's scent by now that she had completely forgotten it would be suspicious to other werewolves. "Maybe we can... roll you around in mud or something," she suggested half-seriously, shrugging. When Riko asked for Mercy's thoughts, Mercy tried to remember the layout of the Den. "There's a back door," she explained. "I'm guessing they'll try to take Elle through there when they sense there's trouble. They may be by it with her already, as a safety precaution. Maybe we can lure them out that way? Have some of us storm the front while the rest wait in the back."

"Or we can roll you in mud, and I can just pretend I'm the lost vampire looking for her way home." Riko said sweetly, there was no way in hell she was getting down in this mud after what she had been through today,s he was going out with some goddamned dignity. "I guess that plan maps out well, fishing them out through this way, well if you are ready I am, I of course plan on waiting on this end, if this is where they will be escaping through."

"Of course," Mercy repeated matter-of-factly, having expected no less. After informing Siobahn and Delorna of the plan through the phone, Mercy hopped out of the now-parked car and stealthily approached the back entrance to the Den. Since the Den's entrance was a cave opening and much of its structure was underground, the back entrance looked more like a jagged, overrun hill than a secretive exit. Mercy pressed herself to a tree a few yards from the exit. Sniffing the air, her expression brightened. "I think I smell her," she told Riko. Then she pointed to a spot on the other side of the exit. "Why don't you go over there so we can ambush them?"

(hey so I might not be around tomorrow, I turn 21 and all that stuff, so my gf and a couple of friends want to take me out and probably do something too me that is going to ******** up my tuesday. lol) "Yes ma'am" Riko saluted, before jumping upwards and out of sight, taking a more discreet path to her position, she had a ton of tools as a vampire that made her a lot more nimble than most and she wasn't going to waste them now, especial when stealth required her to be a bit more flexible. She dropped down from above into her required position and waited until it was time to act, she could feel it in her gut that the time for action would be soon, that and the fact that she could hear movement. It was almost time, Mercy could smell their baby, and that gave Riko some hope.

(HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Have fun? What was your first [legal] drink?)
Mercy pulled the gun from its holster; she had stolen both items from an enemy werewolf before they had gotten on the road. Keeping silent and still, Mercy could swear that Elle's scent was growing stronger, closer. Even though she hadn't been apart from Elle for very long, Mercy had missed that smell. She had missed it a lot.
And then the trap door opened, and two werewolves climbed out. When Mercy peeked around the corner, she saw one holding a bundle of blankets, maybe a wrapped-up Elle, and the other was carrying a bag. They seemed frazzled, like they hadn't expected to be driven out of the Den, and that made Mercy a little wary. People did dumb things when they were scared. Hopefully, though, that "dumb" thing would be giving up Elle without a fight. As they approached where Mercy was hiding, Mercy stepped out from behind the trees, gun raised. "Give me the baby, or I'll shoot," she warned with a growl.

(I had tequila, 5 shots of tequila, 3 cans of Bud light Margarita, and Tequila spiked coffee, I just finally sobered up while I was sleeping a few hours ago lol. But thank you thank you.) Riko could see that the wolves that Mercy had stopped up were a bit hesitant to go down without a fight even if Mercy was standing before them with a gun, so Riko stepped forward from her position and asserted herself, standing directly behind the wolves who's attention was on Mercy, and breathing on their necks, getting a shiver from one of them. "I think you better do what she says, she is in a bit of a mood today, since things haven't exactly been going well for her today. I think she would like to vent a bit of that aggression out, and you don't want to be the punching bag in this situation." Riko warned casually, she couldn't see Elle, just a bundle, she wondered if Mercy had a better view, she hopped this wasn't some type of trick.

(Hmmm, I'm getting the sense you like tequila, haha. But I'm glad you had a good time! My first drink was a Fuzzy Navel, but they didn't even card me for it. I was so disappointed.)
Mercy's lips twitched into a sadistic smirk as Riko described her day. The funny part was, she wasn't even bluffing. They had both been through hell today. The werewolves, clearly uncomfortable, turned slowly to look at her, and Mercy cocked the gun.
"O-Okay, look, we'll hand you the kid if you just... just let us go," the one holding the bundle said, lifting his free hand in surrender. He turned to Riko and handed her the bundle, then signaled to his friend and bolted.

(possible, its the only thing I drank. I also drank at home, so no I.D required.) Riko was quick to uncover the bundle while the wolves ran away, knowing that if she saw something she didn't like she would quickly drop it and chase them down, but she could feel warmth through the blankets and it was familiar, she uncovered Elle's face and breathed the heaviest sighs of relief. "We've got her," Riko said to Mercy almost feeling light headed with relief, she showed Mercy the child for good measure. "We should let the others know, so that they can get out of there."

Mercy was watching the werewolves run away as Riko uncovered the bundle, her gun aimed and ready. Even though Elle had indeed returned to them, Mercy sent off a few warning shots, just to get the point accross: don't mess with her family. Sighing with relief, the weight of dread tumbling from her shoulders, Mercy turned to Riko and smiled down at Elle. "Thank God," she breathed, carressing that sweet little face, playing with those precious little fingers. Mercy was trembling, the aftermath of many hours spent in overwhelming worry. <********, Riko, we're the most badass moms ever," Mercy joked, unable t help the grin on her face. "We're like... Liam Neeson in Taken!" Turning back to the Den, she announced, "I'll go gather the troops. Meet you at the car." She took her sweet time getting there, though, confident that Siobahn, Delorna, and the rest of their small army was handling the werewolves cowering within the Den. They need the fear of God put into them.
