Lorelei nodded gently to Leif. "Sure, I don't mind." Lorelei wanted to admire the view and wanted to explore for herself, so she gladly accepted Leif's suggestion. It had turned out to be a peaceful morning; calm and serene. It was much like how it was on her old world. The feeling of warmth made Lorelei feel happy inside. It was a fellow feeling.

Prim was startled by the random objects flying everywhere, she wondered where they had come from. Then she had seen a shimmery pink bunny garment that had been flung on to Caelen's shoulders. Prim tried not to laugh, she was sure Caelen had had his fill of embarrassment for the day. She couldn't help but giggle a bit after hearing Aylin's comment, but quickly calmed herself. She was happy to see Aylin was present. Prim smiled to the pixie. "Aylin! I'm so glad to see you. I wanted to thank you for the dinner last night, and for taking us here. I wasn't sure if you'd be up this early. I'm helping Caelen make some breakfast, Charm was here--" She cut herself off to see the little imp zooming toward the wall. She quickly ran and scooped Charm into her arms. "Gotcha." She said now holding the dizzy imp. "Are you okay? Guess you're back from wherever it was?" She asked while petting Charm's head.

Whatever it was the angle imp was doing turned out to be quite noisy. Caelen used his enhanced eyesight to quickly glance at what was going on from the corner of his eye. Charm was doing something with a staff that caused a rather odd assortment of items to come flying out of nowhere, some landing on the floor, others on the table. One item did catch Caelen's keen eyes: a green and gold brooch which he knew to be Gaia's personal crest she bestowed upon those she chose as her feet and hands in this world. The worst though was the shimmery, girly pink shirt that came flying at Cae's head only to land on him like a shawl. To make it worse, the pixie walked in at that precise moment and of course, didn't miss a beat.

Caelen quickly grabbed the girly shirt off his person and held the offending garment at arm's length, looking as if it might burn him. His cheeks were colored with a nice shade of dusty rose at being caught in such an atrocious situation. Aylin just continued to laugh, which didn't help things much. The butler quickly deposited the pink shirt over a table chair and tried his best to recover in as dignified a way as possible.

Miss Charm, I'm not entirely sure what it is you are doing, but try to at least warn me next time if there are to be more hailstorms of pink girly things. Chef and I share that unfortunate dislike. It's not so much the pink.....it's the glitter.

He then turned to Aylin and said, And let the record show I actually look rather smashing in pink. It compliments my complexion rather well. I just prefer my usual navy. Now, I do believe that spare Gaia's Token you are holding came flying out of wherever it was the imp had those items hidden. I'm sure she'll want it back. I certainly hope she will take better care of it in the future. It is a precious thing.

Caelen went back to his work, filling the last crepe with the fruit and yogurt mixture and then set the crepes on a large serving dish and set the dish on the kitchen table. Prim still had several pancakes to fix, but she was a bit preoccupied with catching the imp who had for the second time in the space of two days gone flying across the kitchen to smack into the wall.

That poor creature, it's a wonder she doesn't have brain damage the way she gets herself tossed around so much like aping pong ball. That can't be good for anyone, human, beast, or otherwise.

Prim, is the imp alright? All that getting tossed around is bound to leave a mark at some point. Caelen asked, a bit concerned. He still felt guilty for making her fly across the room the first time last night.

aye ill bring us to a soft landing, but i may have to swing you around a smidgen. Leif said smiling as he started a downward spiral before adjusting his belongings and safely tucking Oscar in to his bag again. Slowly leveling out the last few feet as his feet touched the grounds out-front of the mannor Leif looked slightly apprehensive of the doors as he knelt down for lorelei to hop off. Heaving a relaxed but apprehensive sigh and checking his belongings once more Leif cast a slightly shy look back at her before stepping towards the manor stopping just shy of the front door.

Charm was ever so grateful for Prim's assistance.
"I'm so sorry Prim, I already asked for your help with breakfast and now you've had to catch me." She went red with embrassment. She was usually so much better composed. "I usually have a knack for opening magical pockets but I suppose that staff wasn't recovered enough to be used with precise control. It is usually a very powerful and reliable staff. I think her shield drained it too much."

Charm sighed, realizing Caelen had no idea who "she" was at this point but she looked at Alyin. "I was hoping to bring this stuff up during breakfast, but I wanted to check if there was any hint about what happened yesterday among Hydro's things. I'd really like to talk to everyone about it, I know Cae doesn't know who she is and I don't mean to exclude him or anyone." As Charm said this Yin had woken up, and started gathering the items together, thrilled to see something familiar. He squeaked and squeaked, putting everything in a neat pile around the staff, which hadn't moved at all. Then he flew over to Alyin, who had the Gaia token, and hovered, waiting for the last object of his adoptive mother.

"Alyin, what's a Gaia's Token? Oh wait, sorry, I was the one who insisted on getting breakfast started, I should return to help. Caelen, Prim, I'm sorry!" Charm, feeling recovered fluttered back over to the breakfast preparations. Yin looked at Alyin curiously.

Caelen didn't really wait for Prim to answer as to whether or not Charm was alright. Charm had seen to that herself. Caelen instead walked over to the kitchen sink and stared vacantly out of the window, his mind elsewhere. Without even thinking, he reached into his right pants pocket and grasped the object he had purposefully placed there that morning before heading downstairs. He stood at that window with a pensive expression on his face for several minutes, unmoving.

Two more pieces fall into place.... he muttered suddenly to himself before snapping back into reality.

If everyone will pardon me briefly, I believe we have two more guests to welcome.

Not really bothering to wait for any sort of response, Caelen hurried out of the kitchen, headed toward the manor door. He glanced down at his vest as he walked, making sure it wasn't messed up from cooking. He shouldn't have bothered. His clothes were usually immaculately clean. Satisfied that his appearance was pristine, Caelen opened the manor door just as one of the two newcomers on the doorstep was about to knock.

Greetings. I thought I sensed two strangers approaching the manor. I am Caelen Evernight, butler. How can I help you?

He smiled at the two people, an odd look of familiarity on his face, even though he had never met these two individuals before.

It's all falling into place, just as was foretold. I need one more piece of the puzzle, and all will be set. Caelen thought to himself while he awaited a response from the two visitors.

Hearing her name be called Seren turned around to find the girl from dinner last night approaching her That would be a yes on both accounts, but I don't believe I have ever seen you there before.... Oh you must be the transfer student! she had heard that they had been expecting one but with everything going on she had not had the time to seek them out and introduce herself it seemed now was the time for it, she smiled and held out her hand for Terra to shake. There was no time for this before but it's very nice to meet you Terra! As for school chances are it has been cancelled the atmosphere yesterday after that pillar shot up was very uncomfortable not to mention a good portion of the students travel through that area to even to get to school and back.

Aylin quickly composed herself when she heard Prim address her. While the situation itself was hilarious she didn't want to give Caelen the wrong impression of her actions. She could tell he was none too pleased with having laughter in his general direction and had said as much as a rosy hue tinted his cheeks. Clearing her throat Aylin stopped her laughter and let out a calm happy relaxing breath. From her shoulder Kai shook his head and rolled his eyes over how the butler was trying, a little too hard in his opinion, to be wacky.

"I'm sorry, but the situation was just too hilarious not to laugh at. I mean no disrespect to you at all," Aylin commented making certain Caelen wouldn't be mad at her for the laughter.

Turning towards Prim, Aylin smiled yet again happy to know that the young teen was in very good spirits about the situation. Everything about the situation they were in was confusing and new and would take time for Prim to understand what was happening. However, as Aylin had said to Alice moments before Prim had a lot of potential to become something amazing. Aylin knew Prim had it in her to become a great leader in whatever she set her mind to, be in her schooling or as a magical warrior. It was the one thing Aylin was bound and determined to bring out in her.

"There's no need to thank me for doing what is right. I'm just glad you seem to be adjusting well. I don't want you to ever feel like this isn't a safe place for you no matter what the situation," Aylin responded to the young lady under her watch.

It was then her attention was pulled back to Caelen who had perfectly identified the Gaia's Token in her hand. She knew he had seen the one she herself had practically shoved in his face the night before but she had yet to tell Caelen exactly what it was just that it made her the head of the Alliance. She wondered how he knew what it was called and just what it meant to be given the broach by the mother goddess herself. Not many on the mainland were gifted with the broach. Not everyone in the Alliance had one. To be given one was to become one of the Children of Gaia called to do the work of the mother goddess herself to protect the world from fallen creatures and dark gods. They were the ones tasked with protecting the weak and defenseless and doing works of good in the name of Gaia since the disappearance of the ancient magical warriors like Aylin's great ancestor.

Just as Aylin was about ask how Caelen knew just what the broach meant outside of what she had said the night before Charm wanted to know just what it was that had come out of the staff. It was only right she try and explain to the imp what it was the owner of the staff had in their possession. The fact that the staff contained the Gaia's Token brought forth questions of her own for Aylin. As Kai had mentioned when they found it, the Token was indeed a mystery.

"This little one," Aylin began as placed a gentle hand upon Charm's head and her voice slipped back into the calm regal tone it had while speaking with Alice, “is more than just a jeweled symbol of the mother goddess. The Gaia's Token is only given by the mother goddess herself to those she has tasked with protecting and caring for the world from dark creatures and dark gods. To be given this gift is to be called to do works of good in her name. It used to be the world was protected by ancient magical warriors but ever since their death and disappearance centuries ago ordinary individuals with their own unique gifts to offer have been called to keep the world safe. To find that there's someone with the Token on the mainland is quite the puzzle because I know practically every person who has been given one of these and they were all off the mainland when it happened. So I wonder if and when the owner of this was ever up on the islands.”

Aylin then pulled the tiny dragon close to her and placed the Token within its waiting mouth and gave it a small scratch under the chin. The tiny silver dragon appeared very eager to get the Token back as much as it was eager to get back the toys and other precious things that had been strewn about the kitchen. Whoever the dragon belonged to it knew the Token was something precious to them both. Aylin wasn't about to keep the tiny creature separated from a favored item and knowing its importance Aylin had decided to give the little dragon a very important task.

"Precious little one that Token means your owner is a part of something very important to this world. Until we can find them I want you to take very good care of that for me. The mother goddess herself would want you to make sure nothing happens to it because she has asked your owner to help care for and protect this world," Aylin said in a soft tender tone.

Prim giggled a bit to Charm's little red face. Aylin had reassured her that she was safe here and that she would be protected from whatever would come her way. Prim was glad to see that Aylin had seemed to be in better spirits. Prim listened to her mentor and Charm discuss the meaning of Gaia's token, as Cae had left to attend to the two guests at the door. A symbol from the goddess Gaia sounded too good to be true, but somehow with all the happenings lately; Prim could believe it. She thought of her own butterfly charm, she struggled to remember how she got it. Prim only recalled that woman in her dream that appeared after the butterfly. Prim's trance broke as she listened to Aylin's words to the baby dragon. "Just please keep it safe. I'm sure her life depends on it. Though, I think you and Charm would do anything to save her, just as I want to." She affirmed the compromise.

Lorelei had accompanied the shy young man to the door, where they were promptly greeted by the manor's butler. "It's a pleasure. I am Lorelei, and this is Leif." She gestured gently to the winged young man. "Leif was taking me around the town, when we saw this manor. We were just wondering if anyone was living here. I honestly am not familiar with with the history of Barton." Lorelei felt eerie calmness about the butler, but kept her poise. "Would it be alright if we stayed here?" She asked, pushing her crimson tendrils behind her ears.

The female of the pair at the door was a bit braver and spoke for both of them. However, Caelen sensed the young lady, Lorelei, was ill at ease. The butler's calm demeanor could sometimes make people wary, which was unfortunate.

I am indeed pleased to meet both of you, Lorelei and Leif. You are perfectly welcome to stay here. The more the merrier I always say. In fact, we're in preparation for breakfast right now, so you may as well join the group. It's nothing fancy, just pancakes and stuffed egg crepes. Please, follow me.

Caelen bowed and stepped aside, gesturing with his right hand for the two guests to enter the manor. He needed to get back into the kitchen quickly before Aylin began to think he had blown her off or something. He didn't want to cause trouble this early in the morning.

"Thank you." Lorelei politely bowed back to the butler. She took Leif's hand, as she stepped in. Lorelei agreed with Caelen's comment. She liked being around others, and she wasn't one to pass on an invitation. She took a moment to look around. She was quite taken by the whole structure, its interior was something of a castle.

"Nice to meetcha too, Seren!" Terra said as she walked up to the senior student. A bright smile appeared on her face as she shook Seren's hand. She was glad to meet friendly new faces, but was especially delighted to meet another student at Barton High. Aside from the girl named Prim, who she only met briefly, and a few people she met over the internet, she knew almost nobody at the school. "And I am indeed the transfer student! I mean, unless there were other ones, I guess," said Terra as she pulled her hand back. "That really sucks about school, though... It's bad enough that class had to be ended early yesterday. And that I missed the first day of school. That's probably why you haven't seen me around before, eheheh..." Terra said as she laughed nervously. Perhaps it wasn't such a big deal that she missed the first day of school since every student was now missing this third day because of the dark pillar. She just hoped things could get back to normal soon. She didn't want her first year spent at a high school to be ruined. She just wanted to go to school and worry about homework, friend, or boys. She didn't want to worry about all these bigger events that seemed to fall right in her lap. As she and Seren walked down the Manor halls, she began to think about what was happening in town and what that talking cat said the other night about magical powers. But before Terra could ask her new senior friend about her thoughts on the matter, her stomach spoke up first with a growl loud enough for Seren to hear.

"H-hey, do you smell something?" she quickly said, hoping to move attention away from her noisy stomach. "I-it smells good, whatever it is. Maybe we should go downstairs! I mean, if you want to. W-we don't have to right now!" Poor Terra was flushing red as the situation rapidly deteriorated. It was just another lousy first impression she had made since this school year started.

Charm quickly tried to turn out some pancakes, owing to the fact she had started the whole idea of breakfast. She could never accomplish the amazing crepe that Caelen had whipped up, even if she had both of her hands back. She encouraged Prim to finish up her omelette and to allow her to finish up breakfast so Prim could have a seat. Caelen seemed distracted by something, but Charm didn't pry, even as he left the room. She just wanted to apologize to him for the fuss she caused. Yin had happily collected all the items, and after a cheerful squeak toward Alyin, wrapped himself in the blue scarf and returned to sleep, his little body around the Gaia Token. Charm hoped he'd wake back up to eat, at least.

She tried very hard to focus on pancake preparation, but her nerves were at forefront. Which each pancake she stacked, so did line up her apprehensions about this breakfast. She didn't know much, but she was given the small locket like item, which she unsuccessfully tried to pass to Hydro. Now she had to explain to these people who had gotten tangled up in this mess about how not only she knew Hydro, but somehow convince them that the girl wasn't what she seemed. The warrior who sent dopplegangers after these girls, those very things that still awaited outside the safety of the manor. And the people of the manor, who had taken in Charm and Yin without a question, and reasonably Prim too but who wouldn't take in Prim? The girl was sweet as a fresh bloomed flower and had the capacity of hope like the very butterfly that symbolized her power.

She was just a little banished imp, and even though she had a powerful master, she just one who was no longer able to train in her chosen profession. And that profession had nothing to do with battle. Her master, who was reasonably going to be angry with her, how could she make him understand, she was unable to sense Hydro, and hadn't seen her since the last time they had met, not too far outside this very city. It was all she could do, was pass on what little she knew to these people. And hope to the heavens that they knew something better than she, she who seemed to be getting the kind people in her life hurt. Like Prim, who had saved her sight on seen, wasn't it Charm's fault for not preventing the danger that now threatened that girl?

And the world apparently had even larger issues. With the strange moon shift two nights back**, apparently there were gods dying and people being called to serve the goddess Gaia. The advanced academy Charm was in was very sheltered to first year students like she had been. Though she'd been serving a master directly for a few months, who probably knew some of these things that concerned Alyin, now that Charm thought about it, she was still lacking in knowledge. After Deen Academy, which all imps could attend, devil, angel, or hybrid, Charm been accepted to a very prestigious Angel Imp only Academy, and wasn't due to start learning about the great world until her second year....though she hadn't been trained in battle anyway. She got the sense from Alyin that she knew a thing or two about battle, and had felt a little re-assured by the pat on the head from her.

About thirty pancakes later, Charm started to take deep breaths, trying to remain calm. I will not think about THAT, she told herself, before she went too deep in the darker corners of her mind. "Let's see, we can put pancakes on the table and we need butter and syrup and what else..." she mused aloud, not wanting to obligate anyone to help.

Noting Terra's clear embarrassment over her stomach's loud runmbling she merely smiled and said That sounds like a great idea I dont know if you noticed she leaned in to whisper but my stomach has been rumbling here, and something does smell really good! with that she began to walk with Terra towards the kitchen.

Flushing a soft shade of pink as Leif stepped in and looked around awestruck and bewildered at the seemingly endless manor he felt so out of place. sure home was nice but luxuries and other ornate features Leif had never seen so plentifully just left him speechless as he tucked his wings firmly against his back in somewhat of a heart-shape as he slowly strode around never leaving arms reach of Lorelei slightly afraid of getting lost and partly due to not knowing anyone else.Gr... Group? uhh umm.

Prim finished her omelets, and topped the last one with a sprig of parsley. She felt accomplished taking her time on the last omelets. She finally made what seemed to be enough for everyone, even the ones that had just arrived. "Phew. I haven't cooked this much since my mom's work brunch." She wiped the sweat from her brow with the a rag she had not used for cooking. "I just hope it tastes okay." She looked at Charm, who seemed to be having some sort of internal conflict; from the expression she gave. "Need me to help since I'm done over here?" Prim asked, trying to nudge an answer with sincere worry about her imp friend. Prim could tell Charm was worried about something, and most likely the same thing she herself had been worried about. Prim placed her omelets on the table, as well as the crepes Caelen had made. She placed some slices of butter on a plate in a rose formation, then proceeded to take it to the table along with a few bottles of syrup. She let Charm bring the pancakes to the table. Prim made sure all of the place settings matched the number of guests. As soon as she had everything set, she sat at the table and waited.

"Don't worry Leif. I'm sure everyone here is perfectly nice. This place seems inviting enough on its own." Lorelei smiled kindly to Leif, and kept his arm latched with her own. "It smells wonderful." Lorelei noted, taking a deep inhale. She followed the scent, and awaited the butler to escort them inside the kitchen. She could hear a couple female voices from down the hall; two shadows of what were seemingly teenagers. One of the figures she saw looked familiar. There were long pigtails that reminded her of the girl she had seen the day of the crow attack. That girl was a friend of Lunette who she had attended to the that day. She wondered if Lunette was also here. The other shadow was a girl who she was unfamiliar with. Though if they were both going to breakfast, she'd meet them soon.
