Volpeo Fenris v.s. Gigantos

Gigantos Difficulty: Easy

User Image

The Gigantos didn't seem to respond to the taunt, probably because it was too stupid to understand that Volpeo was insulting it. The beast began to lumber towards Volpeo once again, but stopped in confusion as the kitsune seemed to disappear. It left itself wide open and was completely oblivious of Volpeo's attack until it happened. The explosion hit dead on and the Gigantos reeled backwards as the force of the attack caused it to almost lose its balance, more from surprise than from the actual damage. The beast roared angrily and shook its head, temporarily blinded by the attack.

The kitsune would take this chance now that the beast was blinded empowering his kick with the aid of one of the flames to propel a powerful kick to break the irons that held the belt which kept the helmet of the beast in place, hoping to take off the comfort sone of the beast by exposing its head to the sun, if the attack managed to land.

Illo v.s. Carmen Laurell

Carmen Laurell Difficulty: Hard

User Image

Carmen blinked in surprise as someone suddenly showed up with their head in the sand before pulling himself free. "Umm...are you sure you're ready to fight...?" She asked, still surprised. "I mean...have you been drinkin' or anything?" She watched him give a bow before a smile came over her face. "Yeah I'm sure it'll be totally awesome!" She paused. "Oh yeah wait what's your name? We're supposed to ask that before every match. Except for the Gigantos because he can't. Oh, not that I'm trying to say I don't want to know personally! I'm just saying like, yeah. It's the nice thing, ya know?"

Hard - These opponents are very experienced and talented fighters. They are somewhere between graduate level and Death Scythe level in strength. Unless you are a Death Scythe or otherwise extremely strong, your chances of winning one-on-one are possible, but slim. You should strongly consider bringing a partner/ally to this fight.

You don't remember? What a shame. The monk laughed and tossed a smooth, black pebble to Carmen.
This should help you remember.

Volpeo Fenris v.s. Gigantos

Gigantos Difficulty: Easy

User Image

The straps holding the Gigantos's helmet burned and snapped away before the helmet slid off its face and fell to the ground with a loud *clang*. Looking down at Volpeo were two black, beady eyes staring down at him. The eyes were surprisingly small for something so large. Though like Volpeo's other attacks, the beast didn't much seem to care. It's eyes were like those of a shark; black, deep and empty. It roared down at Volpeo before lumbering forward. It picked up speed as it neared Volpeo but this time it did something entirely unexpected. It launched itself high into the air, higher than would be expected for something that heavy. When it came down it came down hard, the impact shaking the entire arena like an earthquake. But this wasn't the attack. All of a sudden, massive spikes of earth shot up from the ground. It was much like the Gigantos's previous earth-spike attack but this time it was much more widespread. Earth spikes were coming up from the ground all across the battlefield ready to impale anything beneath them.

Volpeo would rise an eyebrow as the beast suddenly jumped into the skies.
" Well, that was unexpected. "
He replied before the beast smashed against the floor breaking the kitsunes balance as it quickly landed on fours to not loose that much of momentum. The problem was when the spikes attacked, they were so many and fast that he barely could made use of the last flame he had to propel himself in a similar height enough to surpass the spikes, only to land on one moments later, doing his best to grip on int so he didn't slide further.
" Well this is going to be troublesome. "
The replied as he observed Gigantos's small eyes, thinking he could take advantage of them. The problem was that with this damaged area, neither of them could get full mobility unless by jumping, which would leave the first one to do so, open for a counter attack. He would had to wait patiently.

It's pretty cool! Waiting for it to get even more intense. Wonder what Melani's crazy side is gonna be like?

Gigantos Difficulty: Easy

User Image

The Gigantos seemed slightly frustrated that its attack didn't work. Instead of coming at Volpeo again, it continued to keep its distance. This time is raised both of its arms, palms-outwards. The two cavernous openings began to glow with that familiar bright yellow light before there were two simultaneous explosions of energy. Each blast raised towards Volpeo carrying the same deadly force as they did before.

Illo v.s. Carmen Laurell

Carmen caught the stone easily and looked down at it. After a moment her eyes lit up. "OH YEAH!~ Illo, right?" She asked rhetorically. "The hot springs, yeah I totally remember that! It's good to seeya again! How are you?" She gave him a bright smile, hands clasped behind her back as she waited for a reply.

Oh, I've been fine, thanks. Illo was happy to know she remembered him.
I wanted to ask if you wanted to have a little match with me at the springs, but my body was tired and I don't think we could have found enough room.
So, over a year later, I hope you will do me the honor of going a few rounds with me,
Illo said as he sunk into a stance more conducive to fighting.Would you like the first move?

Volpeo did not wasted any time, summoning four flame sprite around him, granting the kitsune some mobility, enough to dodge those dangerous attacks barely since he only used the movement speed buff generated upon the activation of his spell alone.

" So, you are a ranged tank.. I really didn't expected this. You have surprised me and I shall thank you properly for doing so. "

The Kitsune replied as he begin on his approach to the beast, jumping from spike to spike on a random pattern, knowing the closer he was, the faster the attacks from Gigantos will be, so the best bet for him to get near the beast was not to be predictable.

Carmen nodded with a grin, unclasping her hands and getting in a fighting stance. "Yeah okay!" she said, still excited to be in a match. "Let's do this! But don't go easy on me because I'm a girl, okay?" Carmen started off light, waving her hand towards Illo. Suddenly a burst of green fire followed by quick firework-like explosions shot forth coming straight towards the warrior monk.

Illo

Illo tilted his head to the side. He didn't quite know what to think of Carmen just waving her arm about in the air like that. Then the explosions came, and the monk seemed to know just what to do: cover up.

He ducked under his cloaked, and used his levitation to roll himself back with the green rage.

Whoa! what a technique! He cheered as he brushed the dust off him.
You'll have to teach me how to do that one after this.

After a moment, Illo's smile faded into the shadow of his hood. A low hum could be heard emanating from the monk as he gathered chi from his third eye. A faint glow came peeking out from his hood when he reached a higher pitch. Illo went to 3%.
Now... How about this?
Illo shot a telekinetic pulse at Carmen. It had a fair amount of power behind it.
It is colorless, and unless she has a sensitivity to psychic activity, Carmen wouldn't be able to sense it. That's the reasoning, anyway.

As Volpeo came closer and close to the Gigantos, it quickly switched to short range attacks. It stepped forward and closed the distance to the kitsune, swinging its fists in wide arcs to try and bat Volpeo away like a baseball.

The kitsune would have a hard time trying to get near Gigantos. It appears that taking the helmet off was a mistake as he was more wary of his location. Still, with his agile body he was able to keep distance form his attacks. But that would also leave Volpeo unable to step any further into Gigantos's range.

" Well well aren't we a little tricky today. "

A mischievous smile turned on the kitsunes lips as he could feel the energy flowing back into him. And with a quick roundhouse kick he would consume one of his sacred flames to empower the kick and place it's way through one of the gauntlets, stepping back and out of the physical range from the beast moments later.

Illo v.s. Carmen Laurell

[[Sorry for taking so long to respond! Dealing with the arc and real life takes up a lot of time]]

Carmen Laurell Difficulty: Hard

User Image

"Sure! If you teach me how to bury my head in the sand and still be able to breathe!" Carmen replied with a laugh. When Illo asked her "how about this?" She blinked at him in confusion. "How about wha- ugh!?" She was cut off in the middle of her sentence by the psychic force slamming into her. She was knocked backwards and onto the ground but she quickly and dexterously kicked back to her feet. "Oooh, an invisible attack! Cool!" She grinned before launching herself into the air. Once she reached his height she suddenly became surrounded by a stream of green energy and accelerated forward at an incredible rate; much faster than she could normally. Once she reached close proximity she waved both her hands, sending two streams of firework-like explosions towards Illo as she continued to advance.

Abilities used:

+Streamer: Carmen can use her resonance force to quickly accelerate in any direction. When she does so she's surrounded by a stream of bright green energy, protecting her from projectile attacks and hurting anyone who gets too close. It can be used as a ramming attack though that's not its main purpose. It is extremely helpful for dodging or deflecting ranged attacks

+Fireburst: Carmen waves her arm in any direction, causing a stream of fiery green energy that explodes like fireworks to trail after it. This can be projected towards the enemy or used as a small shield to block attacks.
