"Calamari isn't very tasty," Gale yelled back, swinging the rifle again and trying to get better footing than what he had to work with - namely nothing. "It's very rubbery and sometimes it tastes like cardboard."
He fired off a few more shots.
"I'll take you out for real seafood when we get back."

"Hey! A guy can dream, okay?" Wilson answered childishly. With his balance back, he managed to land in a few swipes on the titan.
"Well, if we become chum I guess we can become chum together...?" he offered unhelpfully.

"No you'll be fine." The moon hunter said, dodging a tentacle here or there as she moved towards the infected hunter. She did not know Nevada well, but in playing a game of chess you guarded all your pieces. Reaching her, Ceres touched her arm gently. Some sort of healing power happened... really she had no clue as to what, maybe it worked? Ceres is using the Moon Effect to remove Stun from Nevada!

Gnat was hiding under a table, somewhat shamelessly. Edward was summoned and on her hand, but she had no intention of using him when -
"PEY!" she hissed. "THE ******** ARE YOU-"
A tentacle snaked around the table, and she slapped it away with a gauntleted hand.
They were gonna die here.

"FIGHT it.. you want me to FIGHT THAT THING?" She screamed. She knew exactly what she was supposed to be doing, as the hunters flocked towards the giant monster, turning the entire room into some macabre action fighting scene from a really well funded science fiction horror movie. But that did not change the fact that she did not think going TOWARDS the giant tentacles was the way to survive this encounter. Ultimately, the floor made the decision for her. She had plucked Thaw out of the floor just in time for it to tilt her towards the monster, sending her soaring down into a tentacle. She had the good grace to hold Thaw pointed the right way, sinking it deep into the tentacle. A spray of black and grey hit her square in the face, seeping into her with poison, but she knew she'd landed a decent hit by the way Thaw sighed with victory. "JUDE!" She screamed. "I THINK I KILLED IT!" No, no you did not. Maebe: 35/40 Damage: 6 Boss HP: 171 Charge: 1/3

Crispin froze as everything went to hell - oh, yeah, it was definitely too good to be true. He quickly spat out his current mouthful of food into a napkin, then grimly shucked off his suit jacket and summoned Shaiming. The heft of the glaive was immediately calming. We will defeat it, Shaiming reassured him, though he could feel the dragon's eagerness for battle.
"Right," he said, slipping into the stance he had been working on. He wasn't sure who to protect, everything was so crazy - and then a tentacle smacked him, hard, and he felt a dizzying surge. Shaiming growled. Poison-

"Jeeze!" Jerry wobbled, only dimly aware of the swirling, chaotic battlefield around them. "You're a natural!" He remembered when he was just starting out. When he had fought the most competently, he didn't even remember. Otherwise it had been a series of explosions and falling on his rear. She looked like she had handled a shot gun before.
His admiration was cut short by a flailing tentacle in his direction...
At point black, he was lucky his shot rippled along the glistening, hooked suckers and not through the meat, and the tentacle recoiled with a shriek.

Unfortunately, this was the way things were and most of the hunters probably expected it. The ship sqaying was like being on a really bad ride without safety belts, forcing Saya to grab onto anything. She heard Prompto's urgent shout, difficulty in reaching for her bracelet and simultaneously, not falling into the monster's grasp.
She eventually did, putting a little too much strength into it. Unfortunately, the black prts multiplied, forcing more hunters to come to her aid.

"It's not regular motion sickness." He tried to excuse himself. Really though, when a ship was wrecking havoc and there was a giant tentacle monster consuming people with it's bloody teeth -- than that was not regular motion sickness.
They were both kind souls. "Thanks for the offer but for the sake of my own safety against your sister-" He paused as she was attacked by the tentacle. As Alaska approached her worriedly, he faced towards the monster. "Let's go, okay?" He grinned towards his weapon. It was diffult for a swordman to fight, particularly because they had to get closer to the monster than any other weapon. He slashed at a tentacle, putting aside his motion sickness in favor of thinking of takoyaki. Would that be delicious later on?

"It is if you do it right," Stormy argued mildly, but there was a wincing smile on her face at the offer. "Thanks though, because I only got a bite of that salmon and my stomach's crying I can't have more."
Speaking of more, she got to have more tentacles slap her about without getting a chance to cut something. Thane rumbled in a disgruntled manner as he tried to keep her balance.
"You okay, Nevada?" she called out to her fellow Mist, espying her with Alaska and another hunter she didn't know. At least they seemed alright for now . . .
Stormy made a frustrated noise as she swung and missed, tendrils of hair escaping her tidy hairdo. "Where's Jack Sparrow? We should just feed him to the thing."
Never not Disney okay.

That look. He felt himself grin and opened his mouth to-
A tentacle flashed by, and past it Wash noticed a very familiar Sun accompanied by a not-so-familiar older woman...
"Jerry! Hey man!" He winced as a tentacle got a pretty good shot in. He motioned Sasha over before ducking and weaving around tentacles to make it to the pair, offering up a few 'special' runic bandages.
They were princess print.
"You ain't lookin good, man. Use these."

"H-how about i let YOU do that." He called back at Ian, whom seemed to be doing a fine and dandy job on his own. Plus he really did not feel well. Something felt like it was creeping inside his veins...making him slower. Poison. ...What? Theres poison in the air.
Oh god, no wonder people were seeminly slow... but he didn't have anything really to base that on either.

A few short moments after Mimsy confessed to Kostya that she suspected that a figure from his past was actively searching for him, the lights went out. Or she might have blinked, like before. Regardless of the catalyst, everything had begun to shift again, the feeling of displacement washing over her. Something was happening again, chaos set in motion within what was surely yet another plane of reality, separate from the tea party locale. The ship rocked, then tilted, and a cascade of decor was sent crashing into the floor. No, wall. No...ceiling? Wall? She nudged her glasses up to rub at her eyes, clutching to the table as she blinked into the darkness. It took only a quick glimpse and a lurch of her stomach to know with certainty what was happening. Just as the girl had come to find Kostya, it had come to find her. She knew it. She knew with every goosebump-covered inch of her body what black and white and curling tendrils as meant. Her palm caught the back of a chair and she forced herself so steadily stand, wide eyes struggling to focus on the thing that everyone was scrambling to attack. It was not tall or thin, and the dark portions were far more intimidating than the shadows she had known, but she had no metric to gauge how close to reality it should have been, and her worry was plunging into the thought that it might not release her in the same way the girl had, not when she would be what it sought. Unless the mental strain was...no, the flash of a discharged weapon caught the outline of a spiny, snakelike appendage, and the shadows cast among it were geometric and distorted and--trees and sidewalk and--no, no. No. "No. I won't. I refuse, I will not, no, no...." She backed into a wall, or a surface sturdy enough to support her, it couldn't trip her now, she wouldn't go, not now, especially not now. Though her shoulders were firmly against the wall, with enough force to to meld into it were that possible in this plane of existence, her knees felt weak--it would trip her again--and she must have pressed her hands over her mouth at some point, because her admission of defeat by a cry for help was inaudible. < Oh, no! Probably just that nobody is listening, ha ha!> Svensyl suggested. < Could you maybe move, though? Find the tea party or the garden? Don't be snoreious, Mimsy!> astrabot dear x i miss you tremendously why did you send this thing instead of you it's like way less sexy

He was glad that it didn't take long (due to the wonder of physics) for Maebe to just jump in and attack right as he was being argued back at.
"Good job, Twisted! Keep going at it but ahh... I don't advice cutting it too much. It seems like it might be a bad idea." He advised carefully. Especially with all this poison and such flying about.
He slid his way toward her as he summoned Yom and demonstrated a firm slap against the nearest tentacle with the flat of his blade, "We just want the wench to let us go, see?"
Getting hit with a counter attack seemed least of his concerns at the moment. He was teaching someone how to Hunter. ((Jude: 47/50 (-3 Auto hit) Damage: 5 Boss HP: 159Charge: 1/3))
