Not wanting to move Lillian looked to her mother and politely asked if she could get two out, one for Adrian and one for her. Rosaline nodded and got the brownies right away and set them down on the table in front of them saying to Adrian, "I can imagine that you'll like the brownies, her father does, though if he'd have a plate full of these he'd probably not be very likely to share these." Rosaline said laughing softly as she went to get one of the brownies for herself before leaving the kitchen so that Adrian and Lillian could talk alone if they wanted.

Adrian cocked an eyebrow, glancing towards Lillian. "And you claim that you aren't skilled at cooking. If your skill in other things is half as impressive as your looks, then we're all in trouble," he teased Lillian.

Taking what Adrian said about her cooking as a compliment Lillian smiled. "I haven't tried making anything other than brownies, cakes and things like that. Father said that I could open a bakery with the things that I make, though I don't think that I'd want that. Mostly because if I made these all the time I'd probably get sick of eating them and I wouldn't want that." she said. She did blush a little when Adrian said she looked impressive, she believed it when he'd said it previously, though she was still having a time trying to wrap her mind around it. Her mind was a bit clouded with so many thoughts going through her head, yet for a moment her mind went blank and without thinking she up and kissed Adrian out of nowhere. After she came back to herself she blushed furiously, pulled away and she apologized profusely, not able to look Adrian in the eye, due to her embarrassment for her actions.

Adrian pulled back, mildly surprised when Lillian pulled away. "Lillian," he said quietly, lightly touching her chin with his fingertips.

Lillian's face was very red as she looked up as she felt Adrian's fingers under her chin. "I--I don't know what came over me... I just... I..." she stammered, not really able to speak at all. She tried again and said, "I hope that wasn't too much or sudden..." She shivered, yet in a good way as she pressed her face into Adrian's chest.

Adrian exhaled slowly. "Lillian," he said quietly, aiming to get her attention so she'd look up at him. "You should never feel you need to apologize to me for anything. Life is rarely easy for anyone, regardless of their nature, so do not hesitate to take advantage of me if you so desire to 'relieve' that stress," he murmured teasingly, well aware of how naughty it could sound.

Lillian was still trying to hide her red face in Adrian's chest when she heard her name. She looked up, tried giving a smile, yet it was a shy and exposed the awkward feeling that she had for just up and kissing Adrian without warning. She really hadn't known that she was going to do it herself, subconsciously perhaps, though it was still something of a shock to her as well. "Maybe... Though I shouldn't have just... I should have asked," she said pausing and going over what Adrian had said and processing it again and again, trying to make sense of it all; however, her mind was a bit jumbled and things were crossing, thus making it hard for everything to register right as she heard the words. "Wait... that sounds so, well... you know? I can imagine that you do, since you said it, though it's still awkward for you to just give me that liberty without me having to earn it." she said in more of a whisper, which was slightly on the flirty side. She moved from her chair over to Adrian's lap and she snuggled up to him. "I'm so glad that I found you in that alley and brought you home." she said as she rested her head on Adrian's shoulder.

Adrian cocked an eyebrow at her words before he kissed her deliberately. "Does that seem like I mind? It isn't like I'd make that kind of offer lightly... there's something about you that I find comforting... with Faith it's more like a competitive streak and with Kate it's more a sisterly feeling... but you... it's different in a way that's hard to explain," he said quietly, rubbing her back gently.

Lillian's eyes went wide as Adrian kissed her, but she melted into the kiss and she kissed him back. She then listened to Adrian and thought about his words and smiled. "I'm glad that you picked me, since I can tell that you truly care about me, unlike those jerks that I had considered dating... I'd have messed up big time if I'd have dated some of those jocks... Considering they were only after one thing, you know?" she said, putting her head under Adrian's chin. Lillian thought about how he said that he felt about his friends and how he felt about her, though he wasn't able to explain it. 'Love maybe?' she thought a moment before remembering that Adrian could probably hear her thoughts. Her face flushed bright red and she shoved her face in the Adrian's chest, ebarrassed nearly out of her mind. It seemed a bit crazy and way, way too fast for that feeling to be real. Although, she did know of love at first sight, yet she hadn't really believed in it until she met Adrian; and more accurately, the very moment she thought of it.

Adrian cocked his head slightly, gently rubbing and massaging Lillian's back. "I won't take advantage of you like that, no matter how beautiful you are," he said quietly. He hadn't heard her thoughts for several minutes and didn't mind giving her some privacy.

Lillian hugged Adrian before giving him a peck on the lips. "I think that I am going to go get ready for bed. It's been a stressful day and I need to take a night to try processing it all," she said. "Oh, and thank you." she said, giving Adriand another kiss before heading to her room, yet was nearly tripped up as Roxy ran clean between her legs, followed by the little tabby tom. She looked at the kittne as he jumped up on the table, arching his back and hissing at the terrified looking husky cowering under Adrian's chair. "I think that I made a mistake bringing that little terror into the house, though he's the least of our problems... hehe... That and he's just the cutest little kitten I've ever seen. However, I am not replacing Roxy with you little one." she said, trying to laugh as she went to pick up the tom cat, who happily let Lillian pick him up; her last words directed at the kitten.

Adrian chuckled as Lillian picked up the kitten. "Well, if he's half as adorable as his new mistress, then I see little reason to complain," he said teasingly to Lillian as he too stood fluidly, lightly scratching Roxy's ears. He picked up both their plates and set them in the sink to be washed later; he wasn't surprised at her idea to get ready for bed, though he wasn't all that sure what that meant.

Lillian looked over to Adrian as she heard him speaking and she smiled softly before she started heading to her room. "I'll see you in the morning Adrian." she said as she walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to her room. She wasn't sure what she'd do about the kitten that was in the house, since she had a doggie door that was for Roxy. She knew that her closet was big enough to keep a kitten in it without trouble, though she wished she had a litter box for the little guy. However, once she got to her room and walked through the door the kitten raked her arms up as he got down and tore from the bedroom, down the stairs, to the kitchen and out the doggie door that was in the back door. Roxy wanted to chase the kitten and growl at him, though she was too scared and she walked slowly to Lillian's room.
Meanwhile, upstairs Lillian cursed as she looked at her arms that had definite cat scratches on them. 'Daddy'll know that I had a cat in here if he sees this... Stupid cats and their stupid sharp claws... That's why I like dogs over cats...' she thought, grumbling as she headed to get something to clean the blood that was dripping down her arms.

Adrian cocked an eyebrow as he walked up the stairs several feet behind Lillian though he caught the scent of blood almost immediately and unconsciously his canines extended as his gaze shifted, unconsciously following Lillian as she walked quickly towards the bathroom. "What happened?" he said as he caught up to her, his fingers brushing the scratches as he felt a slight tingle of energy shoot down his arm to his fingertips as he saw a couple of the wounds close without a mark left behind.

Lillian was trying to wash the blood from her arms when she heard someone coming up behind her. She froze, not sure how she'd explain this to her father or anyone other than Adrian, seeing as he was the only one that had known of the cat, other than her of course. However, she relaxed as she heard Adrian's voice. "That little flea-bitten cat scratched me without any warning... I thought he liked me, though I guess not..." she said, looking down at her arms where Adrian had touched the scratches in amazement. "That's amazing... Thanks, now Daddy won't find out about that... cat..." she said in a soft and grateful tone, though the emphasis on 'cat' was one of intense loathing. "Would you be able to do that to the rest? If not I could say that I fell or something and got the scratches that way." she said, thinking that she could fool someone into believing that she had hurt herself by accident.
