His eyes moved over to Akane as she told him he could say that again, his hands going to a water balloon. "So you also think I'm a failure?"
Lets test out that theory and see if it agrees with both of us then. He lobbed his next water balloon at Akane to see what would happen. "Oh, guess I'm not a failure when I'm like.. what is that five feet away?" He grinned as the water balloon popped on her.

"Eeeh?!" Akane was surprised when she saw a water balloon seemingly appear out of the middle of nowhere. She didn't have time to run away, so it hit her right in the shoulder. She was sopping wet from it.
"I'll have to get you back for that!" she said, pointing to Derek. She grabbed a water balloon and threw it like a softball. She was pleased when it hit him.
Once he was sufficiently de-gunkified, Griffin climbed to his feet and looked around. He definitely needed to wash the rest of the soap off, ASAP. But first, he wanted to get a few more hits in. Reaching into the nearest bin, he grabbed for the nearest balloon and chucked it at the nearest student: Ralph. Once it hit, he laughed and leaped into the air. What had ever come over him, to make him think of giving all of this up?
Satisfied that he could still hit things, Griffin headed back for the water fountain. If Briar was his rival in this game, the water fountain was sort of like his home base. It felt like every five minutes he was back there, washing yet more soap off of his skin. His arms were starting to turn pink from all the scrubbing he'd done. Or was it sunburn? Maybe the water was magnifying the sun's rays. Would he end up a pork chop if he kept this up? Why hadn't his mother gotten him waterproof sunscreen?

Griffin had gotten confetti all over Akane. "Hmph." She didn't like that. It felt like she had only just managed to get it off her clothes and she knew she still had some on her hair. Now, she'd have to start all over again.
Before she took a break to clean herself up, she wanted to one good shot in and who would be a better target than Griffin? She picked up a water balloon, threw it at him, and it hit.
After a brief juice break Briar had headed back to the fray. There was a girl (Eliza ) who appeared to be just sitting there and giggling and Briar had been unable to resist tossing his newly acquired balloon in her direction.

Ralph chuckled as he moved on and continued to search for new targets, he pointed at Griffin when he was pelted with a water balloon and made motion that he was watching him. Ralph would get him back later. For now he was looking at Eliza, and finally when he decided to just throw the balloon, he did.
He watched it hit her and gleed. This was awesome! Though it seemed to him, if he targeted the girls he might have a little better chance of hitting them than the boys. Interesting~

Squeaky clean and ready for more fun, Griffin left his "home base" and headed back out into the crowd. He scanned the area for potential targets. He ducked a teacher with a hose, sticking his tongue out at her in the process. Then he scooped a couple of balloons up, preparing to throw one of them at a kid nearby.
Just then, a balloon hit him. Specifically, it hit the hand that was about to let loose with a balloon. It burst, and from the impact, the one he was holding burst as well. Griffin's arm was drenched with two balloons worth of water, and he found himself holding a thin piece of rubber instead of a potent weapon. For a moment, all he could do was stare at it. Then he threw it down on the ground and went to stock up on more. Akane was so going to get it!
The whole using-his-shirt-as-a-sling thing had worked well for Griffin before, at least until he accidentally dropped everything, so he decided to try it again. Stopping at the nearest tub o' water balloons, he held onto the hem of his shirt and raised it a couple of inches, creating a tiny hammock. The shirt was too big for him, so he could stuff a bunch of balloons in it without stretching it or showing his stomach. Five... six... seven... that was it, plus the one in his other hand.
But that didn't stay there long. As Akane passed by, Griffin whistled to get her attention, then tossed the balloon at her. "Hey, I think you dropped that!"
What really made it funny was dropping his shirt load of balloons right after saying that. At least, it was probably funny to everyone else. Griffin was not at all amused, and busied himself with picking up the balloons that hadn't popped. All of them were dirty now, and he didn't want to put dirty balloons on his nice, clean (if rather wet) shirt. Instead, he left them where on the ground where they'd fallen, made a face at them, and stomped squelchily off to the nearest bin to reload.

Briar's head turned as a balloon fell past him and splattered a nearby tree, he was out of ammo though so he made a note that he'd get the other boy later.
His opportunity for revenge came later, when by chance the two of them ended up staring at each other across the field.
Unlike the last time, this time Briar did have ammo - the trusty water balloon and he grinned before sending it flying in the other boy's direction.

Akane brushed the confetti off of her clothes again. While she did this, she noticed the mud stain on her shirt. It made her wonder why she bothered to tidy up at all, since was just going to get dirty again. I guess a girl just had to have standards.
After she got all the confetti she could find off of her, she went right back to throwing water balloons. This time at Trev. She chucked on at him and it got him in the hip.
Just as Griffin was stuffing his shirt with more balloons, the teacher with the hose came back. "No! Stay back! I'm trained in water-fu!" That, Griffin felt, wasn't exactly a lie. All of his running around in the wet must count as come kind of training, he decided. Just to show the teacher he was serious, he took one of the balloons in his hand and made to throw it.
Griffin was fast, but the teacher was faster. The boy squealed as cold water hit him right in the stomach, making him drop all of his balloons yet again.

Marisha was starting to get a bit tired, however, she was having too much fun to stop. Looking around she spotted a yellow balloon sitting on it's own. Staring at it for a moment she finally went over to it and grabbed it up. Studying its weight and shape she decided that it would make for a good throw. Turning with the balloon in hand she looked for the perfect target. Soon she spotted a nearly dry kid nearby. Grinning she lifted the balloon above her head she quickly threw it at the child. Then watched at it hit dead on before her eyes widened in glee. It seemed she had managed to find another of the confetti balloons! Smiling and giving a victory sign to the confetti covered kid she ran off.
