Hearing some fire rumbling in the hall that lead to them, Maliarc knew that whoever, or whatever, was causing this was close. His guess was confirmed as the doors leading to them was blown off, causing each individual door to become large flying objects, aiming straight at the trio. Wiping the smile off his face, Maliarc was prepared for something like this. What he was not prepared for, however, was the fire that was coming after the doors.
He knew he had to do something. He snapped his finger, slowing time for only a few feet in front of him. He needed to conserve power, of he'd have done a much larger area. With this, he had time. Not enough, it seemed. He hit the doors with a blast of force, even managed to send the flying back towards the witch that came through in the first place. The magical fire, not so much. He put a magical barrier around Emer, and kept his up around Lady Aaren, but couldn't put a full one around himself. He could only block some of the fire, licks here and there getting through, putting small burns along his arms. They hurt, but he couldn't falter, not if he were to keep his promise.
He would not stay on the defensive forever though, as he pulled all thoughts inward to prepare for for his next spell. He conjured a couple of small boxed, one for each invader, and each one was three dimensional, constantly expanding and contracting. He sent them forward, secretly smiling to himself, because he knew if anyone were to get caught in them, their body would be disassembled almost immediately;instant death, in other words. It was a handy spell to have in the West, considering all the monsters that lived out there were ridiculously stubborn.
This could go on forever. Hopefully something would give soon. How did this woman get so far into this? Wasn't there supposed to be a bunch of security here? Putting his thoughts far back into his mind, Maliarc brought his attention back to the witch in front of him.

( Now it's a party. Haha. I'm gonna finish up some painting and then go inside to warm the effe up. I still think there's a few who post before me though - which is good because I'm freakin' freezin' Mr. Bigglesworth. Things are starting to get bitchin' though in a big way. Kudos to all you excellent RPers who made it happen. )

Frenzy of Death ( Now it's a party. Haha. I'm gonna finish up some painting and then go inside to warm the effe up. I still think there's a few who post before me though - which is good because I'm freakin' freezin' Mr. Bigglesworth. Things are starting to get bitchin' though in a big way. Kudos to all you excellent RPers who made it happen. ) (Totally. lol)

"Hello!" Layla yelled through the second floor; she wished she had remembered the Merchant leader's name, but her attempts to were fruitless. She only hoped that she could get someone's attention, anyone's. It was like the girl was invisible among the havoc. The entire second floor was empty besides herself occupying it. Layla came back to the staircase and sighed. She ran her fingers over her forehead, feeling sweat gather in response to the heat that was gathering from the fires on the first floor. She had to find Ben, quickly before they would be trapped.
Her hopes were answered when she looked up the stairs and saw Asher, the companion direwolf that followed Ben everywhere. Layla backed away as the wolf came down the stairs, but was not afraid. In fact, the creature's presence made her feel much safer. She then looked again up the stairs to see Asher's human companion come down after.
His questions took a while to register in the girl's mind, but she tried hard to focus. The fires were distracting her more and more, and she couldn't help but glance as they snaked their way around her, Ben, and Asher. "There was this explosion at the table! And this man... he—he had dark hair and was talking to Aiden, I think," she said. "Then that lady, the lady in black—the Ater Nox queen! She attacked everyone! Vossler went after her, and I think she's going to where Lady Aaren is!
"You can help, right? I remember where you had went and thought if I found you—" Layla felt the heat of the flames come closer to the back of her legs. She inched closer to Asher and Ben, feeling her heart race more than it had been before. "The fire... the queen's spell is moving up the building," she spoke while looking around the hallway anxiously.

The sudden blast of the doors being forced opened and off their hinges made Aaren cry out and fall from the bench. She covered her face and squeezed her eyes shut in fear of what had caused such brute offense.
Emer was lucky to have blocked the door with his sword, but only so much. The force of it still hurt pretty badly, but he was able to keep it from slamming him against the wall behind him. He threw the door to the ground and groaned; his arms were shaking and felt bruised. He didn't have the same defense as Maliarc, but could boast in offense at least.
He watched as the figure coming down the hallway came into view, and his eyes widened slightly in surprise. He had seen images of Judith, the Witch Queen, before, and her very presence made his stomach clench. Her intentions seemed hellbound, an ironic twist for a peace festival.
Aaren regained her composure and sat up on the ground, she coughed from the dust that flew past her after the archway of the back entrance collapsed. When her eyes took on the image of Ater Nox queen against Maliarc and Emer, the woman gasped sharply. "No!" she cried out, then raised her arm to cover her face when Judith attacked her guardians. Emer was prepared for the hit, but when nothing came, he looked over at the mage beside him, knowing what was most likely the means by which he was protected from Judith's spell.
Aaren, in the mean time, tried desperately to scramble onto her feet. She used the bench next to her and pushed herself up; the heaviness, the feeling of being striped of her energy, was so much stronger now. "Stop this!" she said, though her voice trembled as she stood. Emer quickly looked over at Aaren and then stepped in front of her. One of his arms reached behind and held her against his back. "Queen Judith! End your assault on Lucidus and its leader now, lest you suffer in turn!" The knight yelled.

Manson became a curious case as he carried on with his mix of tangents. Firstly amused, Aiden found the drunken speak charming, an easing from the serious tone overwhelming the table, but soon her arms crossed in a subconscious defense and she became aware that there should be some studying involved in what the man was saying. Aziz may have been an aid three months ago, but she was nowhere near part of any good side if there was one to lay with. Yet, even with this tinge of inner mention to become aware, no alarm in Aiden's head would prepare her for what happened next.
She was on the floor, feet from where just seconds ago she'd been standing. Burned and bloodied, Aiden had no instinct to pick her self in this state of instantaneous pain and rather, it felt wisest to lay still as if there would be some kind of alleviating in doing so.
Eyes were pried open. Weakened arms worked in turning the body wrapped in the no longer beautiful dress around and onto Aiden's knees. The body shifted its weight onto its feet. Aiden grabbed what would help her stand up, but remained still. She was motionless in vortex of running people, screams, debris that had either fallen or was falling.
(Time. Time. Time. I'm so short of time, but I'm not complaining.)

Vossler and his men caught up with the witch queen and trained their guns on the Noxians. Vossler opened his mouth to have his men open fire but Queen was able to use her magic to to make a wall between the two factions cutting them off. Vossler struck the barrier with his sword in anger.
The fourth guard caught up with the group and Vossler's mood was ruined even more so seeing Layla wasn't with him. "Go off and find Layla. If anything happens to her its comming out of your hide." Vossler's voice was past a growl. The guard feeling fear from the Leader quickly turned back and began to search for the young girl.
Vossler turned back to the barrier to think of a way to get through when the sound of the archway on the other side could be heard collasping. Vossler took a deep breath and turned back to his guards. "We are not getting through this way. Come on we need to get to another balcony."
The Aesian's charged through the hallways having to take the time to get around fire that blocked different paths. When a route that was managable was found they quickly made their way to the balcony and the Aes leader was in time to see the purple fire being shoot out for the two men protecting Aaren. Vossler and his men raised their guns and began to fire on the Noxians. The three lower caliber revolvers were drowned out by Vossler's larger three barreled revolver.

Ben listened to Layla as she spoke, a look of anger crossing his face. He should have seen this coming! He had spies everywhere, yet he had no knowledge of this attack. He had no idea that Judith would be so foolish to start an assault here, where she was insanely outnumbered. Unless...
His eyes darted to the flames behind Layla. "We have to get out of here." He said suddenly, reaching forward, scooping the girl up with his mechanical arm, and then shifting her over to his left arm, feeling the ground beginning to creak beneath him. The fire was spreading fast, and it felt as if the ground didn't have any support. He glanced down at Asher, who looked back up at him with a concerned look.
He then turned, and strode in the direction he knew to be towards the back of the venue, where he last saw Lady Aaren exit to. Knowing that she had the same illness, he guessed that she would still be out there, though he knew that Queen Judith would be heading there as well. With Asher at his side, he continued forward at a quick pace, seeing a door to a balcony ahead of them. As he opened the door however, he felt a shockwave vibrate from underneath him. He rushed forward, with Layla still in his arms, to the edge of the balcony, while hearing Chances voice from the balcony above him. When he started to lean over the edge to get a look at the ground underneath, is when he felt another huge shockwave, from Judith blasting the area above the doorway underneath. Immediately after the shockwave, the ground underneath him began to crumble away as the archway underneath the small balcony gave way to the force of the magical projectile.
"Bloody Hel-" He was cut off as he lost his balance, stumbling a few feet backwards as the ground began to give. With Layla still in his left arm, he shouted "Hang on!" and ran forward as fast as he could, raising his right foot up just before he hit the railing of the small balcony, and used the right leg to propel himself forward and into the air, just before he heard gunfire coming from underneath, aimed up towards Chances position. The building next to the Venue seemed to come at them, but before they hit the side of the building, Ben drove his right arm forward, as if he were going to punch the side of the building. Just before his mechanical right arm connected with the building, however, a decent sized blade made of Novum steel extended from below his wrist and protruded out from below his wrist, and the blade instead pierced the wall, catching their weight. They immediately slid down, though the act of jumping off the balcony and piercing the wall of the building next to the Venue slowed their momentum as they continued down until they landed on the ground with a soft thud.
Asher had jumped as well, but instead of catching himself on the wall, the giant wolf simply used his own feet to propel himself down once he came into contact with the wall of the other building, transferring the momentum of the jump down, where he landed with a soft thud.
Ben glanced at Asher for a split second, seeing that the wolf wasn't really injured, before setting Layla down beside him, knowing that she would more or less be a little shaken up, but not injured. He moved his gaze forward, towards the group near the now collapsed exit, where Judith was shooting purple flames from her palms at Maliarc and Sir Emer. Immediately after is when Sir Emer commanded her to stop, and Maliarc threw 4 magical cubes forward at Judith and her three men. She was less than 10 feet away from himself, Layla and Asher, and he rushed forward at Judith without a word, with Asher at his side, who was snarling as he ran next to Ben.
Ben's mechanical arm was now exposed from the Novum blade exiting from below the wrist and tearing the rubber material that was supposed to simulate skin. The right sleeve of his Victorian style jacket was also torn, which showed the silvery metal of his arm underneath. As he ran forward with the blade still extended from the inside of his mechanical arm, a focused look came about his face; the look of an experienced and well trained killer.

Seeing that the fire did little to damage the two defenders, Judith stopped the stream of fire that was coming from her palms, and heard the Lucidian Knight shout something directed at her. She didn't have time to react, however, for she saw 4 three dimensional cubes hurtling towards her and her three men. Moments earlier, she had seen the other mage slow time with the snap of his fingers, but only to stop the doors she blasted out into the alleyway from hitting him. She smiled with her teeth, and extended her arms out to her sides horizontally, focusing energy. As she did this, she heard gunfire coming from a balcony nearby, and saw Mr. Black, Layla, and Benjamin's Direwolf somehow land less than 10 feet away from her in the alleyway. She then quickly clapped her hands together, emitting the same spell that the other Mage had just used, slowing time in the entire area of 10 feet.
The 3 dimensional cubes slowed to a crawl, and the bullets being fired from the Aesian men at the balcony slowed to a crawl as well, but not before a few of them hit two of her men in the shoulders. Judith ignored their cries of pain, as she quickly mustered more of her Mystic energy to cast an even more impressive spell that only someone with Mystic blood could cast.
With her finger still bleeding, she lifted her left hand in front of her, palm opened, and used her bleeding right finger to draw a circular diagram on the palm of her left hand with speed and practiced dexterity. The Witch Queen then quickly bent down, slamming her left palm into the ground. Immediately after her palm connected to the ground, a red magical circle appeared around her with a 10 foot diameter. The Spell was a transportation spell, which would teleport everyone within the 10 foot circle to a place predesignated by the caster. In this case, the predesignated destination was Judith's home turf, Ater Nox.
This was the only way to get Lady Aaren away from Lucidus Magus, and away from all the reinforcements that would have ruined her plan. This was her plan to render any military force useless.
The spell activated, taking a large toll on her as it did. As it activated, it took herself, her three men, Lady Aaren, Sir Emer, Maliarc, Benjamin Black, Asher, and Layla to a well hidden area on the Island of Ater Nox.
