Yae adjusted her arm, shifted her chakra. She thought that would have been enough to undo the knot, but nothing happened. Another attempt was in order. She tried the same technique, applying her chakra more violently this time. Her chair scraped across the floor noisily. She started thrashing her arms about behind her, doing so both angrily and suddenly. The result had been similar to a finger trap, ending with her arms more tightly entwined than ever. The girl turned her head, looking behind herself in disbelief. What kind of sorcery was this? On top of it all her right arm was starting to feel faintly numb.

Yae closed her eyes. She was trying to go to a happy place. Sadly, no such place existed when you were extremely hungry. The training was only making her more hungry; she was expending a lot of energy with each effort. The third knot was leaving her feeling tired again. Slouching in her chair she tried to regain her focus. Once she was feeling calm enough she crept her chakra down the rope, entwining the third knot. It had no weakness, no flaw she could exploit. Suddenly she realized the problem: Ko-sensei. Obviously he had tied the rope too tight, so it was his fault, not Yae's.

The ropes were feeling tighter and tighter. The tape seemed like it was cutting off ninety percent of Yae's airflow. She started to have a brief panic attack. The tape above her mouth swelled and retracted as she reflexively tried breathing through her mouth. The world started to spin; she was becoming dizzy. Realizing her mistake she returned to breathing through her nose. She tilted her head back, resting in her seat. That sudden loss of grace had been pretty embarrassing.
Ugh, I hope no one noticed that...

Fudou was slightly mollified by Yae's comments. He followed the general group to the 2nd floor classroom and took his seat next to his lunch. The fight had taken a lot out of him and he was itching to get started... and then he found himself tied up like a pig and prevented from speaking to boot. That tape would hurt when he pulled it off later, but his stomach was the more pressing problem now. He tried to figure out what it was that he was supposed to do, and looked at the others to see what they were trying. The pink haired girl and Shirogami quickly slipped out of their bonds (the latter to Fudou's displeasure, but he brushed it off as seniority experience and specialising in different things). He gathered that they were supposed to use their chakra to untie the knots somehow. He noticed Yae feeling her knots with her chakra, and decided that he might as well try the same. One part of him was glad that Ko-sensei had allowed them to keep their sense of sight while another part would rather have done without it if it meant that none of the students would be able to see each him in this compromising situation.

Fudou managed to get a feel for the knot nearest to his hands, at his wrists, with his chakra. Feeling with his chakra was an odd experience to say the least. It was like touching things through jelly. Thus it was also slippery and hard to perform precise actions. Fudou wrestled with the knot for a while, trying to get his chakra in it so he could loosen it somehow. From experience he knew that he didn't have to untie all the knots completely. Some he could just slip out of.
While he was trying he spied a dog coming up at him from the corner of his eye. When it reached him it sniffed at his bento and turned a pathetic expression onto him. Well who else could it belong to but that Inuzuka in the corner? If Fudou could speak he'd probably tell it something like 'Go back to your master you should help him get his food'. Since his lips were sealed tight he settled for jutting his chin in Pakku's direction to convey the message. Too bad not everybody had animal partners to help them get out of tight situations.
[+1 to Pakku if maybe Chiisana gets something totally relevant out of that one gesture lolol]

Ko noticed the boy come in and DIDN'T get startled for once. He simply shuffled his papers alittle to look busy, until the boy had walked up and began speaking to him "Oh hello! You must be.." he quickly glanced through his papers before he adressed the boy again "Hyuuga Takami! Welcome Takami-chan! I am your teacher, Manabu Ko and it is very nice to meet you!" he smiled politely before looking through his desk for a syllabus scroll. He grabbed one and went around the desk and crouched down beside Takami. He unwrapped the first section of the scroll and looked at it together with the student. "Now then, at the moment the rest of the class is.. Here, at the Nawanuke No jutsu and yes, that means you are alittle late.. Or alot actually but that dosen't matter the first day! So, why don't you begin by doing the handseals? And once you're done with that, you'll join the rest of the class for the remaining lessons of the day and either learn the lessons that you've missed on your spare time or wait until we all go through them at the end of the term" he went back to his seat leaving the syllabus scroll in the boy's hands. "Does that sound okay?"

Chinsana LV. 2 Hp: 16 Cp: 6 MHp: 8 'Three down, and seven to go.' Pakku thought as he looked down at his food, and his stomach grumbled. Unlike Chisana, who was stealing herself some food from the defenseless mohawk kid, Pakku had to actually work for his. All things considered he was actually doing fairly well, at least compared to the rate of progress of everyone else that is. Of course this was jsut on the first few knots, which were probally easier. Well maybe they were, Pakku honestly had no idea how his teacher chose to do things. Hyuuga Takami ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Takami smiled graciously as his teacher handed him the scroll, with a slight bow, "Thank you very much sir!" He said and turned around, walked to the back of the classroom. Sitting down cross-legged, opening the scroll and looking down to see the first hand sign, the bird. He studied the hand sign for several minutes and looked up, picturing the form in his head. Before long, the young ninja was day dreaming about the ANBU, thinking about his future, graduating day at the academy, getting his headband, being assigned to a team and going on missions with them. He imagined himself at the chunnin exams, knowing only the final event, the one on one competition, he thought about himself, and imagined himself with Byakugan. Realizing that he'd been daydream, Takami looked back down at his scrolled and started focusing on the hand sign again. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Lesson: Learning the 12 handseals Description: Takami must now learn, memorize and execute the 12 handseals, with the outmost perfection. Hyuuga Takami ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
The young ninja continued staring at his scroll, envisioning the symbol in his head. Quickly, the boy formed the hand sign, hoping for it to look almost identical to the one on the paper, but something was wrong, Takami didn't feel the chakra pulsing through his veins. Quickly checking the scroll again, the boy saw he made a mistake placing his thumbs. The boy practiced the hand sign several more times, his finger getting closer to where it's suppose to go each time.

It's all right, just focus. If you lose your cool you won't accomplish anything...
When Yae looked back down she saw that the Inuzaka's mutt was staring at her, begging for her bento box. Even if she could she wouldn't have given the animal her lunch. Maybe if there was some left when she finished, but that seem unlikely. Why wasn't it begging it's master? He was likely it's regular source of feeding, after all.
"Go away!" The tape rendered what she had said largely incomprehensible. Yae leaned over in her seat, prodding at the beast with her foot to encourage it to leave her alone. Eventually it did, lumbering off to bug Fudou instead. Left to her own devices again, the girl gave a random tug at the third knot with her chakra, ignoring her previous model of careful probing and memorization. To her vast surprise it worked; she felt the ropes loosen considerably as the knot undid itself.

Yae grinned beneath the tape. After all that fuss the knot seemed to undo itself. Or maybe the fuss had helped more than she realized. Either way, she didn't dwell on the subject for very long, opting to focus on the next obstacle instead. She once again felt along the rope with her chakra, painting a fuzzy picture of the knot. It was like staring at a hastily drawn sketch of the thing, through moving wax paper, in poor lighting. Still, it was a better reference than nothing. This one actually appeared to be really loose. Reaching behind herself, Yae hooked one finger into the main loop, tugged gently, and felt the thing collapse in upon itself. The rope actually didn't get noticeably looser when the knot came undone, but that made sense since that particular knot hadn't been very tight.

Leaning forward in her seat, Yae tried to reset the ropes into a more manageable configuration. That's when she noticed the dog dragging off Fudou's bento box, the container scraping softly against the wooden floor with each tug. She started to laugh. The tape hampered her ability to express her joy, and the laughter came out as small bursts of nasal air, her slightly upturned cheeks hinting at a smirk. The girl herself wasn't even aware why the sight was so funny. Probably because Fudou couldn't do anything to stop the dog, and would likely be angry. She would be angry at any rate, even if the dog probably wouldn't be able to open the box.

The humor of the situation subsided. Yae turned her gaze to the other prisoners. Pakku had gotten a few of his knots out, and appeared to be roughly tied with her. The girl vowed to double her efforts; she would not be outdone by yet another classmate. Fudou on the other hand didn't seem like a threat. As far as she could tell (not far at all), he hadn't even managed to undo one knot, though he seemed to be getting the idea of "viewing" the rope with his chakra. She started to do the same, using her energy to create a vague approximation of what she was dealing with. The fifth challenge was a rather large knot, shaped somewhat like a pretzel, it twisted on itself in a sort of double loop.
