Lucas didn't say anything as Goss moved over to Vice and Rosie; instead, he moved over to Alex and wrapped his arm around her waist, his gaze never leaving Gossamer.

Misty let out a breath she hadn't even realized she'd been holding and relaxed. That was....lucky. Really lucky.
Alex relaxed herself. Though, it was more out of surprise from the arm that found itself around her waist. She blinked and looked up at him.
Gossamer pretty much ignored the group. She made her way back around to the other side of the couch and knelt down again. Giving the majority of her attention back to Vice and Gossamer.
She wanted to kill at least the two men. But....she'd have to swallow her pride for now.

Due to the Wisdom of Solomon, Lucas had a very good guess as to what Goss was thinking.
"Go ahead and do it when this is over, I dare you. I don't tolerate murderers," he said to Goss in a low voice. "Were it not for Rosie, I would have beaten Joker to within an inch of his life and had him placed in a prison designed by Reed Richards. You do what I think you're thinking, and the same will be done for you."
And then he looked to Alex and his expression softened and changed to one of questioning. "What is it?" he asked gently.

C.J. smiled a bit for the daring rescue for Misty and standing up to Gossamer. He almost saw himself as a knight. A knight in a Jimmy Buffett-esque shirt and jeans. This is probably gonna get me killed one day, but what the hell. he thought. Arell on the other hand smirked a little bit.
"Hey, slugger. Must say, if you're flirtin' with her, you'd best take it easy on the life-or-death situations." Arell joked as he patted C.J. on the back, now deeming it save to move from his perch on the back of the pickup, where Aiden had drunk a considerable bit.
C.J. smirked. "Like you and Crystal are much better." he said, rolling his eyes.

"Nothing..." Alex replied, blushing a bit.
"If it weren't for Rosie?" She growled lowly. "Of course. Better to let her get shot and watch Vice get his face carved up than to let her see you beat up their attacker. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It is MY family involved after all. You "heroes" are never around when I really need you. But I'll be damned if you're not lecturing me or all over the place when I don't need you."

"I wasn't around to see her get shot," Lucas said testily; Vice's aura was working on him again. "All I knew was that Joker had taught 'his' Rosie how to shoot a gun and possibly how to kill a man. Naturally, I wanted to beat him up, but I couldn't, so I went outside to get some air. When I came back in, the 'real' Rosie was shot, and for the very first time, I really wanted to kill a man."

C.J., still feeling a little daring, lowered chivalry by a few points by giving Gossamer the bird. "Pick better exes ya psycho. You don't see my ex girlfriends comin' 'round here trying to kill people ya nutjob!" he growled as Arell looked at him.
"From chivalrous knight to loudmouthed Redneck. Trust me, if it weren't for the acid flower, Mr. Joker would be on the night train to Hell. Matter of fact, shouldn't you be grateful we popped the bullet out of your kid's foot and are going after the Nutcase?" Arell growled.
"C'mon, 'Rell. Let's get outta here. We can get Jean and Lafayette to sniff out where clown boy went." C.J. said with a smirk, letting go of Misty for a moment.

Misty frowned when CJ gave Gossamer his input again. Not only was he pushing Gossamer's already thin tolerance level, but...it reminded her that her "exes" were the kind of people to come back and kill people.
Gossamer had been using some of her magic on Rosie's foot when the....inputs were made. She looked away from her injured family just long enough to send a death glare towards the group of men. "Don't bother." she hissed. "You've done more than enough."
She turned her magic towards Vice's face, and glanced up at CJ. "Funny you're commenting on my exes. Do you have any idea the kind of men your little friend there has f***ed around with?"

"You leave her outta this." C.J. growled, Arell beside him offering a Colt .45 pistol. C.J. pushed the gun away. Vice's affect was strong. This wasn't the carefree Benoit that came to the party asking for a tire pump. No this was a lot different man that most people think. Writer, what are you DOING? You trying to get me killed?! he thought. In truth, no . . . but you know, you did want privacy from the other In-RP incantation of me, so ya know what? Shush.
Arell got around towards Misty. "Y'oughta hold him back. I'll deal wit' Goss, che'." he said.

"Fine." Gossamer growled. She finished with Vice's face, and he groaned as the feeling returned to his face. She looked back up at the group, then stood.
Misty moved to place herself between CJ and Gossamer again, and placed her hands up to try and keep him back. "Just ignore her...if she needs to bark to get it out of her system, let her bark. Its better than getting her angry enough to bite."

Lucas said nothing, but just hugged Alex's waist still, bringing her closer to him in a somewhat protective manner. He knew she could handle herself, but if anything happened to her...

C.J. nodded, giving a glare at Gossamer that screamed Lay a finger on Misty and so help me . . . !" He calmed down when he saw Misty though. "Sorry . . . force of habit." he said, his quiet little smile back to him. Arell looked around and realized the bar was probably closed right about now. He looked back at Misty and C.J.
Boy those two are something else. If Gossamer don't kill 'em, they'd make a hell of a pair. he thought.

Gossamer didn't take her eyes off of the others either. She just stood there in front of the couch, daring anyone to say anything else to her.
Misty smiled a bit, glad that he had calmed down some. "It's alright. Its just better to let her yell than to get into a fight."
