He gently brushed the tears from her eyes, with his unclawed hand, and slid his other arm around her waist."I let the one I love suffer, and I can never forgive myself for that, but you should never blame yourself for what happened."
This time he didn't pull away, instead holding Lucrecia close. He scolded himself for making her cry, but he couldn't bear to sepirate himself from her now. He just wanted to see her smile again, to pull him up to dance, to tease him for sleeping on the job. He just wanted her to be happy.
"If you want me to leave, you only need to say so. I won't blame you for that either." his crimson eyes gazed deep into her browns, that he had missed,"But I'll always come if you call. After all, I never once thought of leaving your side."

(( No worries! ^^ A few were busy today, so it wasn't as busy. ))
His gentle words, kind as they have always been.They gave her a feeling of peace. After everything, he didn't blame her. Vincent was much stronger then herself, as she would never be able to forgive her pasts actions. "Can you do something for me? " Lucrecia's gaze upon his own crimson orbs as she spoke.. "Can you..Promise one thing? I will try..Try to let go of my blame, If you,too let go of yours.." She knew there was no end to it. They would both blame there self for the past, and never move forward. They would never feel true happiness if all they ever did was lived in the past, and blamed there self for what they beloved to be there mistakes.
His last words were soon answered as she put her arms around him, in a gentle hold. "No! I don't want you to leave...." As she held him, Lucrecia rested her head against his chest. Now she didn't want to let him go.

Vincent held Lucrecia close, savoring her warmth and the feeling of her heart beating against his chest. He brought his claw up to gently and carefully rub her back as his other arm pulled her closer to him. He remained silent, however, thinking over her proposal... To let go of his sins... He wasn't sure that he could. If he did let go, however, Lucrecia would let go of her own guilt, and perhaps be happy again.
"Alright. I will...forget my sins...but on if you let go of the guilt that you carry as well."
With the same gentle touch that he had used to draw her close, Vincent lifted Lucrecia's chin, bringing them face-to-face. Years ago, he would have been too shy to even think of getting so close, yet now... He leaned in close, his lips brushing hers gently, as he almost lost his nerve, then touching more urgently, as if it would be the last kiss he ever savored. His embrace tightened slightly as he kissed her, almost afraid that it was all a dream, and he would only awake in the cold basement alone again.

Lucrecia didn't move, or pull away. Instead, enjoyed every moment she had with him. She had never felt so at peace, or so safe up until this moment in the man she loved arms.
Just as she was about to say something, She felt his his hand at her chin, bringing them to look into one an others eyes for only a moment before there lips met, closing her brown eyes as she returned it lovingly.In this moment, it was as though every horrible memory of the past no longer existed. All she knew was this very moment. Her time with Vincent, which she hoped would never come to a end.
((Bah, that post was short. Looked so much longer as I was typing it. Must be the screen!))

The world melted away, leaving just the two of them together in the kiss. That one moment was worth every day, every second, that Vincent had suffered. At some point a bit of tongue would enter the kissing, but it never became a matter of swallowing each others faces. He noted how perfectly every part of her body seemed to fit against his, as if she was meant to be in his arms, though he wasn't sure he could accept the notion. He savored the taste of her lips, and the tongue that touched his own, and he committed to memory, her warm feminine scent, and the feeling of his hands on her skin. All of it was too good, and he expected to wake up at any moment, or for her to tear away from him, afraid or disgusted.
Finally Vincent pulled away, his fears getting the better of him,"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have...not without permission..." He turned his eyes away from her, first to the sleeping Cloud, then to the family photos that hung on the walls. Even if he wasn't in the wrong, this wasn't the place nor time to allow himself to behave foolishly.

As the kiss grew a little more of passion, her arms gently rested at his back, holding him ever so close.This was where she was always ment to be, here in Vincents arms. After so many years, and so many troubles, it all came down to a beautiful moment between the two. Two long lost lovers joined together in the purest of love for one another.
Gentle eyes opened as Vincent pulled away. Lucrecia took hold of his hand, a smile slowly forming at the womens gentle face. "It's..alright, Vincent.." She tried to reassure his fears, if she didn't want to kiss him, he would have known. She could have easyly moved away or said something, yet she didn't.
At that point, she realized too, maybe it wasn't as alright as she thought. At least, for where they were. She was glad Kaia was asleep, as well as Cloud.

He allowed the faintest smile to reassure her, though to those who knew him, it was the equivalent of a grin,"I'm not sure your son would appreciate us becoming too intimate in his living room."
At the mention of Sephiroth, Vincent started toward the front door, though he kept Lucrecia's hand gently clasped in his claw to lead her along. Cloud would be alright alone, this wasn't the first time he was in the ninja's home, and some privacy would be nice. Outside, the sun was beginning its decent into the ocean, though it would be hours until night. Even so, the sparkling ocean made for a nice view, as he lead the scientist around to the cliff at the side of Yuffie's house. There he sat down, looking up at Lucrecia, and offering his hands to steady her as she found her own seat.
"The fresh air is better for us anyways..." he managed a joke, with his slight smile again.

Lucrecia's smile grew, When she had thought about it, The thought of it was a little humorous. They hadn't done anything wrong, but it still might not have been one of those things you wanted to do in front of you're friends. Though she never regretted any moment of it.
Following Vincent close, she took in the view the moment they had stepped outside.She could see everything around her more clearly, even more full of beauty that she could not see before.Her guilt had stopped her from enjoying even the slightest things of natures beauty.
But things would be different now.As Vincent sat down, she took his hands as she steady herself as she sat down next to him. The slightest hint of a laugh escaped, as she leaned against him gently. Her eyes set upon the horizon. "Yes, I think so too.."
As they sat there, her mind wandered to a better memory of the past. "Do you remember..our place under the tree?" She left out the exact location, though. They probably didn't want to think to much of the ShinRa Manor right now! "You were always sleeping..I never told you, Though you looked so adorable when you slept. "

Vincent shook his head in an amused manner,"It was very irresponsible of me to fall asleep when I was supposed to be guarding you. You never were upset with me, even though you had every right to be..." He looked away from the ocean to rest his eyes on her again,"Adorable...not a word I expect to be used to describe me..." he looked back to the ocean,"Thank you."
He wondered what they would do, now that Lucrecia was truly alive once more. Would they continue like before? There was no experiments, no Hojo, only the two of them... Suddenly he remembered something that he meant to talk to Sephiroth about, though Lucrecia would be interested as well, maybe even more so...
"Lucrecia... The scientists who found your son have developed something...strange, I suppose you would call it. They're calling it Lifestream Cells... I don't know the details, but its a cure for Jenova cells..." again he looked back to her,"But its not properly tested...so I was to speak with Sephiroth..."

(( Yay! Played with the banner thing. Now I have something to do when I get bored. Lol. Thanks for letting me know about that! ))
"I could never be upset with you, Not back then, or now." She returned her eyes to meet his. "Maybe you don't think so..But even now, you still are. "
She glanced away a moment, watching the sun taking it's slow decent as it would soon come to disappear into the crystal blue sea.
As he began to speak, her attention was set back on him the moment her son was mentioned. "..Lifestream Cells? " She thought about it, at the very same time she wasn't sure she was so thrilled about the news.She had wanted to give up being a scientist. Even the word seemed as though it was cursed with horrible memories. "...If they are thinking of making Sephiroth there first test subject..I cannot let that happen..They couldn't possibly know if there were dangers involved with it. He...has been through so much..I could not bare to see something happen, If it were to cause him pain.."

"No. I told them the same. I wouldn't let them do anything to him because I knew..." he hesitated,"I knew that if anything were to make him suffer, it would make you suffer..." he hugged Lucrecia a little closer to himself,"They only want hair and blood samples, because of how much of the Jenova cells his body carries...Ever since Yuffie claimed Sephiroth, they have been to afraid to approach the ninja herself." He shook his head at the memory, and at how alarmed he had been at the phone call that Yuffie had sent back then.
"If the vaccine works, we can contain Jenova, and keep her from infecting the planet again. If you kill her, then she just gets scattered into the lifestream again, so we have to do what the Cetra did: seal her away." He looked at Lucrecia, his smile gone, though the gentle expression in his eyes never faded,"Where is Sephiroth right now?"

"Thank you.." Her voice had a sign of releief to it. She should have known him better then that. Vincent would always protect Sephiroth, He did even before he was born.
She could feel her heart beating in her chest a little heavier then normal, She didn't realize just how much the thought of other scientists touching her son got to her. "I don't know..I truely don't want to see him go through that. It may seem like little, but to him...." She looked away ahead of them, seeming to trail off for a moment.
"Instead of him, Can they test it on me?" She may not have had as many Jenova cells within her, but she still had enough. If she could go, and make sure it was safe first, then she might feel a little safer with him going with it.
She rested her brown eyes back to him once again. "He should be coming back with Yuffie. Aerith said they were flying out of the crater.."

He was glad to hear that Sephiroth was doing something harmless,"I have to confess, I don't trust your son. I know he seems alright, and Yuffie trusts him, but...I suppose I see him as the result of my failures. I didn't leave the two alone until Kaia was two years old...but..." Vincent sighed at his own paranoia that had caused him to guard Yuffie long after Sephiroth had shown himself to be harmless to the ninja,"The way he acts toward Kaia and Yuffie, i can't even think of him as the same man who nearly destroyed the planet."
Vincent dropped back in the grass, sending the whitened seeds of a dandelion to dance on the sea breeze,"I don't expect forgiveness for my behavior. I only had my friend's well-being in mind..."
((I hope I'm fitting that in right... Kain has a pretty big back story on Yuffie and Sephiroth...))
