Masaki's face screwed up in confusion. So it was good that he did what he did but it wasnt. Perhaps Sarutobi gave Luo too much credit? What if he wasn't as smart as his reputation said? It was odd, but Masaki found his belief in Luo had dropped significantly on that mission, probably more than Luo's faith in Masaki. He followed Sarutobi into a room, which seemed too large even for this building. It was a small forest. It was clearly not real, the trees couldnt grow nearly as much as they wanted to, and the sky was only simulated. It was impressive though, it even had a slight breeze. "Must have replanted the trees" he mused. He doubted they could have grown in this room naturally. He spent a lot of time with trees, and had seen which ones prospered and which ones died prematurely. He listened to the man's explanation of their mission. "Sure, I have a question... What are we tracking? Did you bring another giant snake?" He wasn't quite sure he cared about tracking, training in combat and jutsu was what he needed.

Masaki watched the clone vanish, assuming Sarutobi wanted him to wait. After all this was supposed to be tracking practice not chasing practice. He then moved off in the direction the clone went. Which was the obvious way to start. He slowed down once he got into the trees though and started looking around him. How would you track someone anyways? He frowned. The only thing he could think of were footprints. He could see a couple heavy footsteps in a patch of loose, almost sandy, dirt. But he couldnt find anything else. They gave him a direction... sort of. But... He spoke in a moderate tone, knowing Sarutobi wouldnt be too far away. "So uhh.... How uh... Do you track someone?" He looked up with a confused look. It wasn't really something they covered in the academy, unless he just missed all the tracking courses which was possible. He stepped in one footprint and then had to jump to reach the other. Sarutobi was taller than him, but not that much taller. Perhaps because the clone had run into the forest?
