Rahujo
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2005 12:51 pm

Rahujo woke with a start, to an ear-piercing scream. She winced and buried her head under the blankets, her head feeling like someone was beating out a rhythm with a couple of small hammers. Her hearing wasn't particularly acute - a few years of hammer-against-metal had seen to that - but ... erg.

Once the screaming had stopped, she removed the blankets from her head and woozily sat up. Her tongue felt like it had grown a carpet of fur to match the rest of her body, and once she got it unstuck from the bottom of her mouth, she realised she had fallen asleep with a plug of chewing leaf stuck in her cheek.

After a few tries, she eventually managed to coax something approaching coherent speech out of her mouth: "...Whu? Whu... happened las' nigh'?"

Alyosha woke with a start, sitting bolt upright as the scream from beside him nearly pierced his delicate ear drum. He felt.. fuzzy but otherwise none to worse for wear. After years of imbibing Vodka a little whisky would do him no harm!

Still, his head hurt now as he followed Sy's scream and eyes towards Osu. the little gryphon looked somewhat confused. Knowing Sy's dislike of the creatures he grabbed Osu from above her, holding the little thing carefully and set him down near Rahujo, who looked similarly confused.

Ieyasu sat bolt upright as the scream abruptly woke him. Confused and disorienated, he stared around himself groggily. What the hell was that??

Groaning faintly, he lifted a hand to his temple. His head was thumping, and that screech hadn't helped that. And he had still forgotten that his ears and tails were showing.

"Erg... what's going on..?"

Osusuki's curiousity turned to startled shock as the person he was standing on first of all screamed in his face and then practically shook him off. Scrabbling to jump down in his surprise, he was caught in mid air by the being beside her.

Flapping his wings uselessly, Osu gave a high-pitched crow as he was lifted bodily off the ground. He wasn't hurt or anything, just a little shaken by the noise. Finding himself back on his feet again, he turned around in a circle, taking an almost uncertain step backwards. He wasn't sure what to do now.

Alyosha got to his feet, looking at those around him. He rolled his head slowly on his shoulders, stretched his arms behind his back and stepped towards the door. He didn't like to leave at speed but he had a feeling some people might not wish to be reminded of their antics last night.

Quickly, he slipped out of the door, heading towards the centre.

Seeing the poor creature almost as scared as her, despite her throbbing headache from her hangover and her own startlement, she started to feel badly, as well as gazing at Alyosha as he made a speedy retreat- probably thought he had made a mistake by being here. Realizing she was naked from the waist-up, she started to scavenge around for where her shirt might be. She seemed remarkably calm despite her scream just a minute or so ago.

In bits and pieces, the memory of what had gone on the night before began to return to him. ..What an idiot he could be... His mouth felt like sandpaper, on top of his head throbbing.

He looked up, only to see Alyosha make a hasty exit. A glance around told him that Rahujo was still here, looking a little the worse for wear. So was Syrenrei. And she was topless.. When did that happen? Did something go on last night that he couldn't remember, or didn't know about.

Osusuki was awake too, slinking about on the floor in a vaguely confused manner. Must be a surprise for him to awake to a scene like this... Ieyasu was vaguely confused too, and he had known (sort of) what had gone on last night.

As Osusuki took another step back, he nudged up against Rahujo accidentally. Twisting around, he turned to face a wall of dark fur. Who was this? Different from Ieyasu, and different from the girl that had screamed in his face. Seeming to have quickly gotten over his fright of a few moments ago, he poked at Rahujo quizzically.

Rahujo, who had had her eyes closed to try and subdue her throbbing head and had almost fallen back asleep, involuntarily emitted something halfway between a shout of surprise and an indignant moo as she felt a sharp, inquisitive beak poking her in the side.

"Myerk! Whu...?!"

Muzzily, she opened her eyes again, and was confronted by a small white-and-orange gryphon, staring at her curiously. She blinked at it, raised one arm and waved a shaky finger at it. "Stoppit."

That massive effort expended, she let her hand fall back to the floor and closed her eyes again. Somehow, she suspected she wasn't going to get much work done today...

...damnit. >_< She couldn't find her shirt and mildly remembered sometime last night that she had flung it off... and from what she could see of the sun, she was quite late for work. It wasn't her first choice to wake and dash away, but it might save her some face.

"I'm... so sorry," she murmured to Ieyasu as she bowed to him and hastily concentrated on Mufei, mustering her barely-functioning mind and bleary eyes to concentrate and imagine. In the space of a few moments she was gone... leaving her shirt, belts, and bra behind. whee

Osusuki sat back, staring quizzically at the large Aerandir. Now she was shaking a finger at him. Was this some sort of game that he didn't understand? He tilted his head, studying her with a little, high pitched 'merp', almost expectantly. She dropped her hand again, and didn't move. Meh. She wasn't being fun afterall.
Standing up again, he pranced his way over to Ieyasu. Surely somebody wanted to play??

Ieyasu simply stared as Syrenrei vanished without finding her top. Last night had been...interesting at least..

Sighing, he supposed he had better get up. Something to eat would be a plus, for a start.

"Ergh...I'm going to fix something to eat. Won't be anything fancy, but d'you want some food too, Rahujo?"
As he stood up, the little gryphon came moseying over to him. Crowing again, Osu began to wind his way playfully around his legs. Unfortunately for anyone with a hangover, the Aerandir's shrill calls weren't the best thing for a headache.
Not that Ieyasu had anyone to blame but himself for the headache. He'd need to find Osu something to eat too.

Rahujo reopened her eyes at Ieyasu's voice. At his offer of food, her stomach went 'blerp' unpleasantly, as if to remind her of exactly what she'd subjected it to last night. She shook her head, and instantly regretted it.

"Urgh... um. No. Thanks. I ... should prolly go."

She stood up slowly and cautiously, propping herself up against the wall. Her head was still pounding, and the shrill piping of the orange-and-white gryph was not helping one bit. Once she was fully upright and assured that her legs weren't going to give way under her, she looked around.

From six feet up, the world was more ... painful, she decided. The mid-day sunlight bouncing off the plain white walls hurt her eyes, and her body was currently sending snide little messages to her brain about how much it would appreciate some rest to deal with the poisons floating around in it.

She trudged towards the door, then, remembering her manners through the thick fug of hangover, turned back to Ieyasu:

"...Thanks for your hospitality," she said quietly, then left, heading slowly across the village back to the forge.

Marli was currently enjoying the view of her surroundings from atop Inle's head. She couldn't fly yet, and she had seemed almost lethargic as of late, so Inle figured it was the best place to keep her. It kept both of her hands free, Marli wasn't underfoot, and maybe, just maybe, with a little nudge, the gryphon might take the initiative and fly off her head.

And maybe pigs would fly.

Regardless, Inle didn't mind the gryphon's new position, except for Marli's attempts to make a nest out of her cropped hair. The largely lapine creature chirped at her occasionally as the pair wandered almost aimlessly around the village. Inle, in all of her hermitlike ways, had only just begun exploring the village, deciding that while she could do without other people, it might be nice for Marli to see more of her kind.

Dragonfly had made a promise to Iniko-- that she would take the gryphon around Cetalu on the weekend. Well, it wasn't quite the weekend, but it was close enough. Dragonfly had wanted to pay a visit to Nyxa, but had become distracted and decided just to wander around the village for a bit, to see if anyone else was about. She had heard about Kiiato's departure from the island, and it saddened her that Keanu had to go through a change of gaurdianship like that, but at the same time she could understand.

Well, she understood what she had heard of Kiiato's situation, anyway. She of course, didn't have all the facts.

Iniko was just extatic to be out of the house, and was racing around beneath Dragonfly's feet, and occasionally sprinting ahead of her, jumping into the air to attempt a quick glide, before going back to charging around.

It was so nice to be outside!

Luc was wandering around the large community area of Cetalu, pouncing on small bugs and other wandering objects that caught his eye. Floating leaves, fuzzballs, imaginary stuffs. He was becoming more and more independant, more daring in his endeavors. However this time Nyxa was nearby the gryphon as he traipsed about, laughing softly at his antics.

In the distance Lucius noticed a bit of movement.. curiously he squawked, flapping his wings and ruffling his feathers. Who could it be?

Nyxa clapped her hands, watching her baby play around with such abandon. She loved the fact that nearly every evening there was a little present for her: a slug, a dead dragonfly, a mouse, a crab. It was obvious that Luc loved to hunt.

When he squawked, Nyxa rose to her feet, raising a shielding hand to her brow as she peered about.

At the sight of all the new, nearby creatures, Marli DID take the initiative and leapt right off of Inle's head, her glide tremulous for a moment before she fell--right into Inle's waiting hand. It wasn't the first time the gryphon had done this, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Marli pecked at the flesh of Inle's hand, causing the woman to scowl down at her. It was a half-hearted look, however; she couldn't bring herself to be mad at something so tiny and innocent. She seemed to get the message, though, and bent to place her on the ground.

Marli immediately dashed forward, her attention caught by the pair of larger gryphons in front of her. She skidded to a halt in front of Iniko, seeming to take a curious interest in this new Aerandir before noticing Luc. She sprinted between the pair, her excitement at seeing others giving her energy.

Inle merely nodded at the Nyxa and the unknown woman, a careful eye kept on Marli.

Dragonfly blinked a bit, watching as Iniko took a sudden dash forward, and was suddenly met with the sight of an unfamiliar Aerandir, and an even less familiar woman. She tilted her head a bit, and turned her gaze, to see Nyxa's familiar face. She smiled gently, running a hand through her gray twists of hair, before making her way closer towards the two.

Iniko let out an excited honk as she caught sight of Marli, the new Aerandir sending excitement coursing through the small gryphon's body. She hopped from foot to foot, befor pouncing to land before the other, her large tail twitching in the air as she stared up at the smaller gryphon with curiosity.

Turning her head to see Luc, she let out a cry of delight, and pounced the larger, more familiar gryphon, her beak clicking in affection.
