Angela grinned back. It was nice to be able to talk to someone without awkwardness. Or fear of kiss sniping in Aku's case.
"I was thinking, Basti," she said. "We still don't really know much about your world or anything. Are all the people there like you?"

"No. Our clan is relatively isolated; we live in the cold southern mountains, though it is relatively close to one of the main trading ports. The other people of Ninden and Konalter are of just about every race imaginable, from humans to vampires and werewolves, as well as harpies and serpiente." There were simply too many variations to count, and Basti was sure that he'd missed most of them.

"Hmm..." Angela closed her eyes again, resting her cheek against her arm. "Sounds very versatile. I should like to visit sometime. My home world only has humans as far as sentient races go. "The place I live now though is much more diverse but I've never even seen most of the races before. I need to visit Sigil sometime. It's supposed to have portals to every location in the multiverse. I bet you see some rather interesting things there."

Ky shrugged to Aku, "Yep, I know."
Then she sighed at the new topic, "Don't even get me started on portals...especially not with him here." She pointed to Zen who sank his face in the water to breathing level, as if hiding.
Ky splashed him in retaliation, soaking his head and making him cough.

Angela smiled slightly at the sight of Zen hiding in the water and then getting splashed by Ky.
"Why is the subject of portals taboo with Zen here?" Angela asked curiously.

"You know, that is a good question, Angela." Basti opened his eyes again, and Zen was partially submersed, hiding from Ky of all people, and coughing up a storm.

Akutenshi frowned at this. That was the oddest response he'd ever received. Obviously he was going to have to take more drastic measures. Suddenly, he grabbed Ky and just flat out kissed her.

Angela face palmed. "Who saw that coming?" she asked, raising her hand slightly.
She wondered if Zen would hit him again.
Damn. He interrupted our conversation too. Ky would probably never answer her question now.

Ky yanked Aku under the water by his hair and held his head her hip in a head lock. "Even if it was a nice kiss, that's for being a jerk about it." She muttered while wondering how long he could hold his breath.
"Has Zensekai not shown you the Gate of Avalon?" She replied to Angela, not really disturbed by Aku, although Zen was pretty grumpy and looked like he wanted to smash something.

Angela burst out laughing at Ky drowning Aku. She laughed for several minutes before she remembered to answer Ky's question.
"The gate...I don't think he's shown it. I saw it though...I think." She bit her lip, remembering the vision from back then.

Aku cried out as he was pulled underwater, not really expecting it (though by now he should really expect anything when he chose to kiss someone out of the blue). He struggled against Ky's grasp, but couldn't seem to get free. With a mental sigh, he stopped trying and just concentrated on holding his breath. Damn. What was with people trying to hurt or kill him lately?

It was all Basti could do not to burst out laughing, but he couldn't contain himself completely. He had to submerse himself just to stop sniggering, and even that wasn't completely effective.
"That was an incredibly smooth move there. Goodness, aren't you supposed to ask first?"

Zensekai got tired of flailing Aku, so he got out of the pool and hung his legs over the side --kicking like a kid would. He'd dry off fast, so he'd just hide the big scar thing on his shoulder some more and watch the women squaggle.
"anyone want a towel?"
