Fate:
"At first yes but Soon after I found what I did was unfair. So I had originally planned to try to tell them but they fell to fast. I was however able to tell Strider. He knows his fate though Mal does not. Now go and make sure Elistral does not die. She is a major peice in our plan." -The figure dissappears and the voice isn't heard anymore-

Strider:
-Strider lazily dodges again but this time grabs Crow's rapier and snaps it in half- "Flimsy metal." -Strider drops the half and slashes at Crow-

Mal:
-Mal blocked the sword with with his hand- "I agree." -Mal swings Elistrals sword around with her still holding on and throws her into a tree. He then charges and thrusts with the tip of his sword at her forehead-

Fenrir rubbed at his face again before nodding to himself and vanishing, feeling drained. Elistral felt the wind leave her lungs when she slammed into the tree. She wasn't able to gasp in surprise as a sword filled her vision. Fenrir reappeared facing Mal's sword heading towards Elistral, getting a couple seconds to act before it hit her. He used his hand to push the blade aside, effectively getting it stuck in the tree beside Elistral's head and slicing the palm of his hand open. He grimaced in pain and waved a finger back and forth at Mal, chiding him. "No no, Mal. You can't do that. It's illegal." He gave both of the two to both sides of him a smile, only frowning again when he flexed his bloody, injured hand. Elistral doubled over, breathing deeply and taking in air. Thanks to this stranger, she'd barely escaped death. She leaned heavily on her runed sword, wise enough to keep her eyes focused on the two beside her.

Crow growled and ducked to the side, picking up the broken half in his hand. He thrust the other half at Strider's arm, pushing it in deeply so only the hilt showed. Then he switched the end of the rapier's broken blade to his other hand, sweeping the point at Strider.

Verin shook Jake again, tears welling up in his eyes as he refused to believe that this boy who looked younger than him was dead. Though he didn't know him personally, grief washed over him. He clutched Elistral's dagger in his hand, wiping angrily at his eyes with a sleeve.

Rore turned his gaze up to the night sky above him, shivering as he pulled his old cape around him. It smelled of dust and mothballs after sitting for years in the corner of a cabinet. By the stars, it looked like dawn would be coming in a few hours. He lowered his eyes, seeing the gray-black blur of the town before him in the distance. Salim could similarly be seen behind him. He shivered again as a picture of a black with with jaws open like a crude smile flashed in his mind suddenly. It was nothing, he was just tired that was all. Rore shook his head and quickened his pace, grateful for the few lights in front of him to guide him.

-Strider dodges Crow and jumps back. He then pulls the sword out of his arm- "Well that hurts." -Strider dissappears and the reappears directly infront of Crow and shoots lightning and slashes-
PostPosted: Thu Nov 05, 2009 6:56 am

Crow couldn't dodge the sword, but he did avoid getting fryed by the lightning. He tossed the broken half of his rapier aside, hoping that it was enough metal to attract the lightning. It arced past him, leaving an odd smell and striking the glinting metal. He braced himself as Strider's sword drew a long cut on his left arm, and he rammed into his attacker, knocking him off balance. Crow placed his foot on Strider's throat, breathing hard and pressing his torn sleeve to his arm to staunch the blood flow. A second rapier appeared in his right hand. "Why else would a fight to the death not have pain in it? It woouldn't be called one if it didn't."

-Strider sensed Mal's anger- "Im sorry Crow but we shall have to finish this later." -Strider dissappears-

Mal:
-Mal's face contorted with rage- "You shall not deny me my victory Fenrir!" -Mal raised his finger to Fenrir and drew energy to his finger. Enough energy to blast away Fenrir and Elistral- "Now die!" -Before he released it he was blown aside by a white lightning bolt and before he got up another one blasted him further and he fell unconcious-

-Strider stepped from the shadow's and looked at Elistral then at Fenrir- "Thank you." -Strider then stepped towards his brother who was comeing around- "Its over brother and you have lost. Your luitenats are defeated and you are at my mercy." -Around them the luitenants were pinned by swords- "Give up now and go peacefully or fight and face a fate worse then death."

-It was then that Mal began to laugh. It was a horridly wicked laugh- "Oh brother you think I am beaten? Do you truely believe this is the end? Oh no brother I have yet to unveil my trump card. Now brother you shall know despair." -Mal raised his hands and a three barriers surrounded him one larger then the last. He then drew a strange magical symbol on the ground beneath him and began to chant a truely powerful magical spell- "Daedius melnetous ceatous selebram emealiel! I call upon the forces of destruction! Destroy this world and all who live upon it who are weak!"

-A look of shear terror crossed Strider's face as Mal spoke- "Everyone get down!" -Strider cast a sheild around all his freinds just as Mal's barriers dissappeared and a giant fiery shockwave blasted from Mal's magic circle. The shockwave then bagan to expand across the entire world-

Gelgash:
-Gelgash felt powerful magic but he also felt that a man seeking him had come so he teleported to him- "Why hello Rore of Salim I am Gelgash and you were sent to find me." -Then he felt an even greater force comeing....a destructive one and a fearful look was seen on his face- "There is no time here." -Gelgash shoved an item bundled into a blanket to Rore- "The item I have given you is the item that may very well be the key to victory against Mal. You know of whom I speak. He is the one who destroyed your town. Now there are instructions inside the blanket but you must not use it only one must use it." -Gelgash felt the force come to close- "There is no more time. Go. Go and survive." -Gelgash pushed an orb into Rore's handsand just as the wave of fire and destruction washed over the area around Gelgash Rore dissappeared to the Celestial Library where the others were just minutes ago leaveing Gelgash to dissintigrate into ash. it was then that the entire world had been covered by the wave of destruction and all who weren't strong enough to survive-

Mal:
-Mal stood and looked at the area. It was completely destroyed covered by fire and dust. The he saw several white sheilds dissappear to reveal unconcious people. The freinds of Strider and Strider himself. Mal walked over to him- "Well well brother. It seems the shoe is on the other foor because now you are at my mercy." -He looked around and saw three of his luitenants stand up. Oni, George, and Marie- "Take him. We're not going to kill him and expect to stay dead. We're takeing him this time." -Oni grabbed Strider and all of them dissappeared-

Jake:
-Jake gasped for air and looked around him to see all his freinds unconcious and the world destroyed. He then looked at his chest and the gapping hole but as he looked it closed back up leaveing a fist sized hole in his shirt. He then looked around to find Elistral and ran over to her- "Elistral wake up. Please wake up!" -Jake shoke her to wake her up-
PostPosted: Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:59 am

Elistral groaned, curling into a little ball. A charred smell came to her nose, and her eyes popped open. She sat up slowly, rubbing her head and glancing around, seeing Jake's expression. "Jake, you're alive." She stated, then began to look at the landscape. "What happened here? It's all...gone..." She stood up slowly, her eyes wide as she took in the destruction. She leaned on her sword, feeling a little weak. Only dust covered the ground now, even the trees in the distance were gone as well as the one she'd been thrown into. The golden-yellow of the plains grass that had covered the whole area including the way that they had came, was completely gone. Not even the burned stumps that appeared when grass was set on fire showed on the dark ground. Besides that, no wind blew, and no screams from the near town either, where fires now raged on the buildings.

Fenrir growled angrily and threw his hat down on the ground. He stared at it for a moment before picking it back up again, fanning himself with it. "Mal was not supposed to do that!" He kicked a burnt rock, almost talking to himself. He winced as put a finger to his temple, calming down slightly. "I don't care, it was uncalled for. And right when I was here too!" To anyone else, it looked like he was arguing with himself. He put his hat into a pocket, the pocket smaller than it but showing no bulge of the hat in it. He heard the others talking behind him, but he took no immediate notice of them yet. He was silent for a minute, then his anger returned suddenly. "Then why didn't you tell me?!" Fenrir scowled, running a hand through his grayish black hair. "Well, why wouldn't you know? You--" 'There's no telling what he would have done. I have no current control over either of them as it is.' Fenrir stopped arguing at that, trying to sort everything out.

Crow shook his head to clear it, standing up painfully from when he had been knocked down. He looked at where his men had been, shocked to see only piles of ash littering the ground. Why had he been spared? He wondered, bending down to scan the ground. Had anyone else been spared as well? And what had happened? He remembered roughly of what had happened. Strider had disappeared, then he had been thrown to the ground by an intense wave of heat. His fingers touched ashes, finding a sliver coin in them. The crow had not really been his friend, but it had been closer than anyone else had been.

Verin stirred at Jake's voice, confused at what had happned and not wanting to get up anyway. He felt like he'd taken a really hot bath, but he wasn't wet or burned. He rubbed at an eye, crying out. "Oh my god, Jake you're--" His words trailed off, as he noticed the desolation around the small group. "What--?" He sat back down, he'd been starting to stand up but the sheer sight of everything stopped him. "What the hell happened here?" His tone was lowered now, disbelief edging his words and even actions. It couldn't be! Everything, the grass, trees, and whatever else, was gone! Only the sky above him was a reminder that the world wasn't quite ending.

Rore looked around the library, his jaw dropping open in awe. But he had no time to stare, because he smelled something burning. Looking down by his feet, he saw a small flame licking at the hem of his cloak. With a cry he tried to step it out, knowing that fire in a library full of books was not a good thing. After an unsuccessful try, he ran over to a near table, placing the blanket and orb Gelgash had given him gently down, before whirling around to snatch his cloak's clasp and toss the thing on the ground. Taking his boot, he repeatdely stomped on the bit of flame until it had been snuffed out. He took a breath of relief, wiping his forehead with a hand, then bent down and wrapped the cloak in a roll. He went back over to the table, setting it down beside the orb and the bundled blanket. He stared at the bundle for a moment, contemplating whether or not he should take a look. Apparently there were instructions, not for him though as Gelgash had said, but for someone else. Shrugging, he decided to look at the orb first, picking it up with two hands and weighing it carefully.

"No time for delay we must go to the library where its safe. Though the world has been made desolate some still survive and they shall be quite violent. So come we must depart."-Jake waved his hands and everyone dissappeared and reappeared at the library. Jake then saw Rore- "Ummm sir may we help you?" -He then saw the bundle and the orb and knew exactly who he was- "Rore?" -Jake then looked at the bundle and ran over to it opening it in disbelief. It was a hilt with only a small part of the blade connected. Jake stammered backwards-

-Demios saw Jake stammer- "Whats wrong?"

-Jake pointed at the broken sword- "That is the blade that killed Strider's brother Kain. There is no other like it in existance. It may seem broken but thats only because the true blade isn't a physical object." -Jake just kept stareing- "The blade is made of the souls of the most evil and powerful demons and was created by Mal........and instead of destroying the body like a regular sword it destroys the soul. Over the years it has come to be known as the Ghost Saber, the Soul Eater, and the Banshee Blade. For if anyone were to weild this weapon no one would be able to stop them with any physical item. That may be why Mal placed a spell on it that only his kin may weild it." -Jake's eyes flashed and he looked at Elistral- "Someone with the blood of a god flowing through their veins." -Jake went over to the bundle picked it up by the blanket and handed it to Elistral- "Only you can weild this. Now Rore whats the news of the outside world....do you know anything about what happened?"
PostPosted: Tue Nov 17, 2009 7:59 am

Elistral stared at Jake for a minute, then down at the bundle he'd given to her.

"Outside world? News?" Rore repeated, confused. He dismissed the fact that the boy had said his name without even knowing him. "Do I know what--No, I was brought here by someone, Gelgash. He said there was no time and for me to go." He cocked his head, trying to understand. "Why? What happened?"

Verin started to shake, still sitting on the ground. He brought his knees up to his chest, wrapping his arms around them. "Gone...all gone..." He muttered, shaking his head.
Fenrir, seeing him go into shock, went over and patted his head gently. "Verin, it couldn't be helped. In the end, everything will be fine." He knew he couldn't console the boy, after seeing what he had. It must've been too much for him. Verin closed his eyes and took a deep, calming breath, nodding at Fenrir's words. Yeah..." He said, a little softly, but he stopped shaking and began to stand up. Fenrir smiled at him, thumping him on the back heartily, stopping when he almost knocked Verin over. "That's the spirit!"

Elistral shifted a bit of blanket that had fallen over the broken sword. It would have been a beautiful blade if it were whole and not just a little metal and curved hilt. But Jake had said that the blade didn't matter. "Kin..." She repeated softly, blinking. Then she gave a laugh, wondering at what Mal's reaction would be. It might not be pretty though, she realized. Where was he now anyway? And Strider? She hadn't seen either of them when Jake had shaken her awake on the now almost desolate world. Would that world ever be the same?

-Strider awoke in a migical cell and looked around-

"Good day brother. Glad to see your finally awake." -They were in a castle of some kind and outide thunder could be heard-

"Where are we?" -Strider rubbed his head-

"Were at my magical palace. It was spared from the blast." -Mal went over and sat in his black marble throne-

-Strider then remembered what Mal had done- "That was unforgivable what you did Mal. Does it even dawn on you that you killed almost every liveing thing on this planet?"

-Mal laughed- "Yes isn't it amazeing. And what people there are that are left shall come to me because they shall be desperate and need food and shelter and I shall gladly abide. You see now I do rule the world. My brother is defeated, all those who stood a chance of beating me are defeated, and I am the strongest being on the planet. If thats not being a king I don't know what is." -hen one of his luitenants came over to Mal and spoke a few words then left- "It seems your freinds survived the blast. Oh well without their precious Strider they won't last much longer."

-Strider laughed this time- "Foolish brother they never needed me. I was only there to steer them in the correct path. You see as long as one of them is still alive he outcome in the future stays the same. It shall always end with you dieing in some way. I should know i've seen it."

"Then tell me brother what happens if they all die?"

-Strider was silent-

"Just as I thought." -Mal sat back in his chair and began to nap-

Jake:
-Jake looked at Verin then to Rore- "The boy doesn't lie. Everything, everyone, and everybody is gone. Leaveing only those strong enough to over come the destruction alive. It was a spell cast by Mal. A wave of destruction searing the land leaveing nothing but dust in its wake. The spell to end all spells. On top of that Strider was taken captive." -Jake sat down- "We are doomed."
PostPosted: Tue Nov 17, 2009 4:12 pm

((That sounds kinda odd. "Where are we, brother?" "We're at my magical palace!" XD Jk, sorry))

Rore stumbled back, dropping himself into a chair and feeling his heart stop. "Everybody?" He said disbelievingly. The townspeople, those Protectors he'd left at his home, his wife and daughter and possibly his friend. And the land, just a barren waste fitting for hungry carrion birds that would get no meals. All gone? In all his years, the retired knight had never felt such dread as he did now. Not even under orders. He squeezed his eyes shut and bit his lip. Verin went over to Rore, unsure of what to do. He placed a hand on his shoulder sympathetically, feeling the same way the older man was, just dealing with it differently. He felt tears run down his cheeks and he wiped them away. Rore hunched over then, his shoulders shaking in silent sobs.

Elistral looked up, seeing the defeated look in their eyes. She took a step forward to speak, but was cut off by another."Spell to end all spells?" Fenrir scoffed. "If that were true, not even the strong would have survived! Not even gods. I wouldn't be needed anymore either." His tone turned somber, though it still had a hint of jovialness in it. "Doomed? No, no, we're far from it! We're only doomed when we've done all we can and can no longer take another breath in our ragged body, if it so comes to that." He stopped and snapped his fingers. "Oh, but that's macabre. There's still so much we can do!" He gave them all a wide smile, his fangs glinting and his eyes flashing with sudden fire.

Crow stood up and felt his arm that had been burned. It felt numbed now, and he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. He dismissed his rapier and looked to the sky, trying to decide on what he'd do. He would ask Mal what had happened, he'd know.

((LoL XD))
-Jake sighed- "Well if were going to do anything we'll need a plan. Though in my expeirience plans don't go so well. Which what got us in this mess in the first place. Or am I mistaken to think that you, Fate, and Strider have been shapeing the future for years Fenrir?"
PostPosted: Sun Nov 29, 2009 2:46 pm

-Jake stood up- "Then what are we doing staying here? We know what we have to do and we have the tools to do it but first we have to know how to use them. So Elistral how do you use that sword?"

The note reads:
Dear Elistral,
If your reading this then what I thought was going to happen has come to pass. Mal has destroyed the planet and hope is gone. Well I put hope in your hands. To use this sword you must think of nothing being part of the blade you must image the sword as nothing and then the sword shall awaken a blade shall sprout forth from the nothing. A ghostly blade that is see through is what it looks like. This is your salvation. Use it well.

Elistral read the note, then again a second time. "According to this, I have to think of nothing and imagine nothing as well." She said, slightly confused. That would be hard, she always had something on her mind. Instead of thinking, she stared at the broken blade in her hand and tried not to concentrate. She was about to reply that it wasn't working when a light gray mist formed near the broken blade, then extended to what looked like the length of her own sword at her hip. It took shape as a blade, the mist-like substance substituting the metal opposite. "I guess, this is what the "Banshee Blade" looks like then..." She trailed off uncharacteristically.

"That's the spirit!" Fenrir chuckled, and since no one was paying attention to him anymore, disappeared from the library. He reappeared crouching on a table next to Mal's chair, looking a little bored now. He put a finger to his lips directed at Strider, then proceeded to stare at Mal for awhile. For a brief moment, he thought that Mal looked pretty innocent when he slept.

Verin however, didn't glance up but shook Rore instead. He heard a light snore, then shook the bigger man to make sure. He was lost for words as he realized that Rore had fallen asleep hunched over, and still had nothing to say when he looked up to see the sword in Elistral's hand hand grown a translucent blade.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 29, 2009 6:29 pm

"Fenrir may I ask why your checking in on me?" -Mal opened his eyes-

-Strider awoke from his sleep- "Oh why hello Fenrir. Long time no see."

Jake:
-Jake looked at the blade and stared in awe- "Well now thats a sight. Now lets go shall we?" -Jake turned to teleport them to the valley where Mal's palace was he saw Rore was asleep from stress and fatigue- "Well one night of rest may not hurt. Don't you agree Verin?"

((Hey, I'm wondering, did the evil god ever have a name opr something? Or is his name the one I made up? I kinda like it...))
Verin closed his mouth which had fallen open. He glanced over at Rore, then to Jake. "Uh, yeah..." He blinked slowly and shook his head. "Maybe I can actually something eat this time." He pulled out the fork he had from before, where he'd previously stuffed in his pocket.

Elistral stared at the blade a bit longer before dismissing it. She figured that thinking that the blade was metal and not "nothing" would do it, and sure enough the mist-like substance dissipated. Shrugging, she hooked the hilt on her belt next to her own sword. If she had to use this "Banshee Blade", then she'd have to use one at a time, not being ambidextrous.

Sometimes, Fenrir corrected. He inclined his head to Strider, smiling. "Hello Strider, it has been a long time, hasn't it? Too long for me remember exactly." He turned back to Mal. "Well, "technically" I'm not quite "checking up" on you. And, well-" He moved a hand in a circle for faked emphasis. "-I grew bored, actually. It's very dull when you can't do anything most of the time besides watching. Besides, I find it fun to "bother" you."
