Aidan Vale The Apothecary
With her heart beat slowing and color returning to her face, Aidan smiled a little. Something about meeting a fellow of her race calmed her nerves, and so she stepped easily out from behind her counter. "Of course," What he requested was one of the less dangerous products she sold, so it was located closer to the doors. Pulling the ladder with her, she located it on a shelf, and positioned the ladder where it would be easiest for her to retrieve it. Looking back to her customer, she asked with a polite smile, "Would you mind holding this for me? I'd rather not fall." Due to the fact that her hand, though better than it had been two days ago, was still swollen and rather painful, Aidan would be unable to support herself in the event of a tumble. When he mentioned who the project was for, the young apothecary smirked a bit to herself. "So you're the victim of Forest's latest mischief, eh?"

Shizuru nodded and applied the ice towel to the investigator's head. "Yeah, he's fine. Just a bump on the head, but you might feel a little dizzy." Shizuru sighed. Actually, after hearing Shane's comment, Shizuru was glad that the captain punched hard. THat meant that the man could actually protect them. To stop the investigator from moving, Shizurur authoritatively said, "Don't move!" She was a doctor. He was not. So, she knew best in this situation.
Then, she barely heard his other comment. She heard "...still hurt..." and immediately asked, "Where does it hurt?" The barkeep must have gotten hit. She wasn't sure if it was today or earlier, but if it kept hurting something could be wrong with his body.

SHRAVRA the metalsmith Rainbow puke is colourful.
xxx"Not a problem. I wouldn't want you hurt trying to help me." Moving next to the ladder Shravra held it steady while still leaving room for her to move up and down it easily. In response to the comment about being Forest's latest victim, he merely shrugged."I'm not the only one and I'm by far not the worst off in this prank. Just think how the people having to decorate the castle feel. It looks like a rainbow threw up on it.

Aidan Vale The Apothecary
Aidan smiled slightly, and climbed the ladder, glad for his help. Favoring her injured hand, she braced her feet against a rung, and lightly leaned against the sturdy frame. Reaching toward the correct shelf, she laughed at the customer's comment. "I've not noticed the castle lately. I've actually not been able to leave the shop for very long in the past few days," Aidan had to rearrange a few other vials to get to the desired product, but found it easy enough. "For some reason, the inhabitants seem to have grown even more unintelligent over the past couple of days. You wouldn't believe the things I've seen over since the beginning of festival." Her voice was soft, but reverberated slightly through the quiet room. "But, knowing Forest, I do feel bad for the ones responsible for the castle. I'm sure the Lord will be thrilled to address this latest display." Looking down at the metalsmith, the young elf asked, "How much will you be needing?"

SHRAVRA the metalsmith Damn you foul dust.
xxxShravra laughed at the comment of the stupidity of humans."A true observation. Yet without the stupidity of humans, you would quickly go out of business, would you not? A small cloud of dust fell from the shelf and floated lazily towards his head. Moving to the other side of the ladder to avoid it found him looking at a bottle of powdered wyrm's wing, a herb that proved just as fatal as the creatures themselves when taken in high doses. There seems to be a lot of dangerous herbs in here. If this shop were to burn down, the smoke and fumes would kill nearly everyone in the city. Her kind, quiet voice was somewhat soothing to his ears, especially after being in and around large crowds of people for the last few days.
xxxWhen the question of amount came from down from Aiden, He realized he didn't know how much he needed. His free hand began moving in motions of flicking beads back and forth on an imaginary counter. One root gives about a litre of paste. I'll need somewhere between three and four litres. "I think four good sized roots should cover my needs. That is if you have that many." Another cloud of dust fell onto Shravra's head causing him to feel a tickle at the back of his throat and nose. Suddenly Shravra began sneezing violently at the side of the ladder causing it shake with each sneeze. Eyes watering with effort, he watched the events unfold that were going to have a lot of pain and squealing.
((Don't worry. I'll catch you.))

Aidan Vale The Apothecary
Still smiling, the young apothecary nodded in agreement, before saying, "Yes. Then again, I'm always surprised at how many different races use me as a source of triage." As she reached forward to bring down the correct bottles, her long sleeves brushed the shelf on which they sat. She noticed the dust as it was disturbed, and watched it float gently down to land near the customer. She laughed a little guiltily, and said, "Apologies. Not many use this particular product, so I don't have cause to dust very often up here." Looking down, her small hands full of bottles of the product, she watched him count on his fingers. While he counted, she began to use the sleeve of her injured hand to wipe the dust from a few of the bottles. "You're in luck! I seem to-..." Aidan, who was currently employing both hands in order to juggle the products, gave a little gasp as the ladder on which only her feet were secured began to move. Dropping a few vials, which shattered on the wooden floor below, the tiny figure vainly tried to steady herself. Despite her best efforts, she found herself falling backwards off the ladder. A slight gasp escaped her lips as the rest of the vials she was holding escaped from her grasp and raced toward the ground, where they would shatter, only a few seconds before she herself was likely to land, with little chance of a better fate. OOC neutral | Oh, good. The last thing Aidan needs is more injuries. xD ||

Haucon finished his sweeping up and general chores quickly, still somewhat lost in thought about Forest's newest request. When finished, he lounged for a few moments, enjoying and apple and the relative calm of the city since the opening ceremony of the festival. His thoughts drifted aimlessly to two days earlier and he remembered the apothecary, and realized somewhat to his embarrassment that it would be hard to forget her.
He decided, (for no reason at all he told himself) to check up on the stores of herbs and wasn't the least bit surprised to find that one of them was running dangerously low (You never know when we'll need more lambsfoot!, he tried to tell himself, while the back part of his brain reminded him that it hadn't been used in months.) He shrugged sheepishly to himself and set out into the street, his feet automatically turning in the direction of Aidan's shop. ((Blech, short post))

SHRAVRA the metalsmith At least you didn't get hurt.
xxxJust as soon as the sneezing had began, it stopped again. A few quiet popping sounds came from the floor, which turned out to be the sound of vials smashing on the floor. Shravra looked up in time to see Aiden drop several more vials before tumbling backwards off the ladder herself. Instinct kicked in causing him to appear below the ladder to catch anything and everything that fell towards him. Catching the vials one after the other, switching between hands he dropped them into his open pouch on his belt to keep them safe then looked up as Aiden landed in his open arms. Leaning too far back to balance the new weight, Shravra's back screamed in pain as it passed it's natural limits, and something in it clicked loudly. Collapsing onto the floor he felt much calmer than he had in the past few days, even though he should have been screaming in pain. "I think... that you shouldn't move me too much, if possible. And something for the pain that's bound to come would be welcome as well. But I think that a doctor will be needed most of all as I can't feel my left leg. At least I didn't land on any of the glass." A weak laugh made it's way out from his pale face. Well. Today can't get any worse.

Aidan Vale The Apothecary
As the young elf fell, she wrapped her arms against her chest, injured hand closest to her body, in the hopes that it would escape the brunt of the damage. Shutting her eyes and clenching her teeth, she tucked her head in against her arms, vaguely wishing that, by some miracle, she would miss the shattered glass on the ground below. After bracing herself against certain pain, Aidan was very surprised when she didn't make contact with the ground. Instead of the hard wooden floor below, Aidan was shocked to find herself caught in the arms of her customer. In the split second it had taken her to wonder what had happened, the tiny red-head opened her eyes and loosened her jaws slightly. She saw the face of her savior for a moment before they both tumbled back again. As Shravra hit the ground, Aidan was protected from the majority of the impact. However, the sudden jolt caused her to bite the inside of her bottom lip quite fiercely. In shock for a few moments, Aidan hardly noticed as blood slowly began to fill her mouth, and tears clouded her eyes. When she finally came to her senses, the apothecary found herself laying haphazardly on the chest of her customer. Blinking rapidly, it took a few moments for her to notice that the sounds Shravra was making were actual words. Shakily, Aidan replied, "Y-yes... O-of course..." She clumsily tried to sit up, hindered by the fact that both her arms were pinned beneath her.

The day was still relatively young as the Forests ploy was being constructed. Unfortunately even with the dark rainy day, the castle's bright decorations made it blatantly obvious that something was going on.
Tia and Adam were currently in one of the castle corridors. Adam had apparently calmed down from the bar earlier... or not.
Tia sighed in exasperation as she put up some posters that Forest had made. Adam was next to her doing the same. “Is it really worth it?” she asked him.
Adam shook his head. “She causes a heck of a lot of trouble, but this is ridiculous. I wouldn’t want to be near the lord when he returns.”
“Mmm.” Tia nodded. “This is a waste of time that I could be researching new magic techniques and perfecting my skills!”
Adam scoffed. “You do realize that the whole infantry part of the military is doing this, right? Your little mage division is not helping!”
Tia frowned. “Well, we shouldn’t have to do this. It’s manual labor!”
Adam paused in his work and glared at Tia. “Well, should I be sorry? Everyone has to do manual work at some point of their life! So, get used to it! Even the lord does manual labor. You flipping open your damn spell book is manual labor!”
Tia pouted. “Hmph.” She finished up the poster attachment and stormed off.
Adam shook his head. “Wait until she finds out about the costumes they’re going to make us wear…”

Meanwhile, somewhere a short distance away, but not within visibility range, something was crawling into range...
((You know what's coming.))

((cue the perfectly timed awkward moment :3))
Haucon whistled softly to himself as he made his way down the various avenues and alleys to Aidan's shop, still insisting to himself that he was merely interested in the herbs and possibly to check up on the healing of his friend's hand and nothing more. He tried to ignore the fact that he thought his heart might be beating slightly faster as he approached the shop and told himself it was just his brisk pace.
He rounded the last corner and climbed the stairs, taking them two at a time to the door with the little bell on it pulling it open and stepping boldly inside...
Only to stop dead in his tracks. There on the floor by the ladder was a tangle of limbs. Only half of which belonged to Aidan. The other half he recognized as the blacksmith, Shrava who shod all the horses for the Stables ((hope this is ok!)) and whom Haucon had always enjoyed chatting with while he held the horses for him. Haucon's heart was beating faster that was for sure and he wondered if he jaw was scraping the floor. He could see that Aidan was shifting, trying to get up, and doing so only awkwardly.
He moved across the room very slowly and gently offered her a hand to get up, not saying anything for fear of saying something stupid. "Are you two alright...?" he finally said haltingly after some of the initial shock and awkwardness had passed.

Aidan Vale The Apothecary
As Aidan continued her attempt to right herself, a tiny bit of warm blood began its escape from the corner of her lips. Scarcely had she noticed when something else happened to distract her further. Hearing the familiar peel of her store bell, the young elf looked up, and to her shock, found Haucon frozen in the doorway. All attempts on her part to move ceased the moment she saw him, and her face flooded with heat. Dark green eyes widening substantially, Aidan almost gaped. For several long seconds, the room seemed to be frozen. Aidan could only imagine how ridiculous the whole situation must look to an outsider. Finally, as Haucon moved toward them, the awkwardness seemed to lift. Barely. Staring up into his face with the same shocked eyes, Aidan finally had the sense to lift herself up onto her knees, with the support of his strong hand. Suddenly, remembering herself, she looked back down to Shravra, who, thanks to her, was lying on the floor, and at last spoke with a voice that was much more timid than usual. "Are... You alright? Wait, of course not, I just fell on you... Uhm... Oh! You'll be needing an anesthetic!" But, as she tried to rise the rest of the way to her feet, her knees seemed to be glued to their place on the ground, her eyes conveying just how embarrassed the diminutive elf was.

Haucon knew that in general, if you waited long enough, a sensible explanation would come to the surface. He saw Aidan's blush though and for a moment something deep inside him ran away in cowardice at the confirmation of what appeared to be going on. Stony faced, he pushed past it, and was able to hear Aidan's explanation as she adjusted herself.
She still appeared stuck nonetheless. With as little awkwardness as possible (since it didn't seem likely that the situation could stand much more), he reached down and slid his arms beneath her armpits, lifting her free and setting her on her feet before extending an arm down to Shrava. The metalsmith's face was somewhat grim and pale from pain, which confirmed for Haucon the truth of what Aidan had said. He smiled and laughed (somewhat nervously to be honest) and said: "Didn't expect to find you here, Shrava, you alright?"
((Whoot. fun))

SHRAVRA the metalsmith Just the right person.
xxxWhen Haucon came in Shravra let out a silent groan. Today just got worse. But at least he's helping out. "Didn't expect to find you here, Shrava, you alright?" "I didn't expect to end up on the floor either, and to some it might look that way. Others would be asking 'what's wrong' by now. Waving away Haucon's hand, his own shaky hand began checking his skull and back for anything broken and Shravra was glad when none were found. Continuing the search found only one thing wrong. A dislocated hip, of all things. Unclipping his flask from his belt, Shravra took a long swig of firewhisky to numb the rapidly escalating pain from his hip. "I don't think that it's my back that went. But I've definitely dislocated my left hip. Haucon, In about five seconds I want you to twist my leg clockwise and push my leg into my hip. Aiden, I'm very sure that this is going to hurt more than the fall, so anything to relieve pain would be useful. I'm more than likely going to scream in pain so I'm going to bite down on this." Placing the empty leather flask into his mouth, Shravra tried to clear his mind of what was going to happen and closed his eyes so he wouldn't see Haucon move.
