Amiie chuckled lightly. "Alright, reincarnation aside, the bond is permanent?"

"Yes and no. I have not formally bound her to me, which is why I am doubly uncomfortable with her around other males. But I have shared her mind and would be able to find her anywhere. Her soul and mine long to be one again. They will call to one another until it is so."

A formal bonding requires three blood exchanges and the ritual words as well as a consummation. After the bonding is complete, Pyre and I will be unable to be apart for long without sharing minds, we will need the contact between our two selves more than before, and should one be unable to merge their mind with the other, they will be in great physical and emotional pain. Enough so to consider ending their existence."
