boat(s?)

((lets just say one boat))

Aden went into a moment of shock as Strider sacrificed himself so the others could get away. He then regained himself, and acted fast by asking Cairan to take the wheel. He went to the back of the boat to make sure the motor was fine when he saw that the agents were chasing them on inflatable boats. So using all the energy he had he started building up a wave up to 50 feet. He then let it loose, adn it propelled them forward even faster while it should send the agents way back crashing into the canyon walls.

"Hold on." G used his mental powers to calm the waters around the boat in a certain radius and stir the water behind them to propell them like the big wave did to Aden and Ciaran.

(('Kay.))

Ciaran didn't know why Aden had such a look in his eye. She didn't know any else than worry for Nick and attempting to figure out how to work the boat wheel. Concentrating, she felt a tug of plastic at her feet and handed one back to Aden, making a couple windbreakers to dull that splash of the water the boat was spraying. "Oh, you better be okay..."

John pulled away from Agent G for a second before they jumped down by the boat. He made sure that the man wasn't looking while he walked off a bit behind his back, claiming he had to take a whizz. Weighing one of his pistols in his hands, he watched the Ashford boy on the ground closely. "They're confident you won't get back up, you know that?" He muttered quietly to him, unsure if he was heard or not. "I don't believe them. You popped up twice for a reason. Whatever it was." He raised his blue eyes to stare upwards for a second, thinking and letting the wind ruffle his sweaty hair. Then he dug deeply into a pocket and pulled out a handful of bullets. Crouching down, he set the gun, the bullets, and the keys to his motorcycle, though at that he particularly was hesitant, by Nick's face. "I just hope I'm right..." John scuffed out a message in the dirt [First + under seat] before turning around and rejoining G to go down to the boat. "Oh thank god!" John gasped, he'd been scared outright at the giant wave that had been heading towards them.

A man who had been watching waited until the man was gone then went over and looked over Nick. He stayed low as not to be seen. He read the message and took the gun, bullets, and keys and put it in a satchel. He picked Nick up onto his shoulder and left after wiping away the message.

"Come quietly and we won't have to get serious." G didn't want to hurt or give them an injury.

((Oi! Stole mah dead body! scream ))

Up close, John could see that the two other ones were just as young as the first. A scared girl and another boy trying to be strong. He watched quietly, hanging onto the side of his and the agent's boat in case a wave sprung up again.

Ciaran started in her seat so much that she jammed the boat controls so that it came to a stop. She glanced back and saw the agent from the prison and the man from before. His tone was so convincing that she almost gave in. But the she remembered the circlet that had been placed on her head. She shook her head from side to side, letting one hand drop by her side out of sight. "Weren't you already serious?" she asked shakily. "Serious enough to try and kill us?"

((Well tecnically it's my dead body cuz it's my character))

"John, fire at the engine. We'll try to slow them down first." G sent another message. "Give in and give up. You cannot win."

((Lol, I know. I was trying to be funny. I'ma have to post tomorrow, bro getting angreh. XD ))

"You're paying for the bullets, then." John took his remaining pistol out, covering the other empty holster with his coat. Aiming carefully, he targeted the boat ahead of them and began to fire.

Ciaran jumped in her seat again but kept her hand on the wheel. A burning sensation formed in her other one and she wondered briefly why she didn't think of making a glove first. "Well, we sure can try!" She yelled back over her shoulder, twisting around so fast that she heard her back pop dully before she threw something out towards the chasing boat. "Aden, make us go faster!" She shouted again, this time only so that Aden could hear her.

John's first automatic reaction was to shoot it, and he did. Instantly the whit object shattered and the large pieces fell into the churning water. A white mist boiled up from where it touched the liquid, causing a thick white fog to form over him and G. "Huh? Was that just ice?" He muttered wonderingly, finding a small sliver on his pants leg.

"Damn it I can't see." Suddenly the boat hits earth and deflates. They had hit a sandbar on the side of the canyon. "Sh*t! We can't chase them now." G looked towards the sky and the sun was getting low to the ground. "Hmmm, I don't think we'll get much further before dark. I think we should set up camp."

Aden reacting to the order he started to waterbend making it like a speedy current that propelled the boat quickly. He looked up to see that the agents were not purusing them, and were fading from his vision.

((I think you mean pursuing and not perusing, Blue.))

"Good idea." John said, a little shakily, and got out of the boat. He made sure that he kept his gun away from the water so he wouldn't have to dry it out, which took a while. "Wait, what camp? This's just a sandy area with no shelter and no supplies."

"Not necessarily." G used his powers to lift the popped boat float out of the water and picked up some sticks from out of the water and made them into a water proof tent. Then he moved his hands up towards the canyon as he moved another hand towards the water. From the canyon some wood came and from the water came several fish. They were placed into neat piles near the tent. Then out of G's pocket he took a piece of paper and a bullet from his own gun. He used his powers to pop the actual metal slug out then placed the paper into the pile of wood. He used a pointed rock and popped the firing cap on the rest of the bullet and the ensuing spark lit the paper and in turn the wood. "There. Not too bad."

Nick awoke with a start. He was inside of an over hang in the canyon wall. He was about to get up when he noticed the bandages on his chest and that there was a large blood spot where his heart was. He was about to shoot up but he heard a voice.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Nick looked around and saw a man sitting near a fire poking at it with a stick. "Who are you? Where am I?" Nick's heart began to hurt and he had to lay back down.

"I told you." The man was wear all green. It was sort of like a robe. He had white hair and green eyes. "I haven't used my name in some time, but you can call me Hermit. You came very close to death my friend. That bullet was placed directly next to your heart and caused some bruising. Your heart won't feel right for a few days, though your scar will never heal. As for where you are, your in my humble home. In a over hang half a mile from where you were shot."

"Oh, well, that works too..." John admitted truthfully. He called Jangle down from the sky, even a falcon wouldn't be able to find a boat in the dark. As the falcon landed, he sat down heavily in front of the fire, wriggling out of his long out to lay it out beside him, the bottom edges just a bit damp. "Today was a complete failure, huh?"

Soon after the water current Aden had used to speed the boat had dissipated, Ciaran eased a good bit off of the gas. It was clear that they weren't being chased. Well, they'd probably be again when the morning came. "Aden? Where--Where should we go now?"

"Well we should continue with the plan of going to Russia, and doing it as fast as we can." Aden said to Cairan.

Nick felt the bandages on his chest. "When will I be able to move around again? I mean my friends need me to guide them to Russia safely."

"It won't take long to heal your aching heart but there is still one more even worse matter." The man looked at Nick for the first time. "If what that man said was true then you don't have powers anymore."

Nick looked at the old man in shock and hurt himself in the process. "Ow! What? What do you mean 'don't have powers'?"

"Well the bullet you were shot with injected a chemical into your body that shut off your mental receptors that inhibit your powers. Or so I suppose." Hermit threw some sticks on the fire.

Nick laid down and closed his eyes.

"But do not worry. I have a way to help you." The Hermit looked at Nick again.

"Yes well the sun has pretty much set so there's no point in trying to chase without a boat." G sat down next to the fire. "But this isn't a failure, this is just a set back. We'll keep following them and reporting back to HQ with their where abouts and just keep them posted."

((Man, I keep forgetting to post in this very often. *is sorry*))

"But...what about Nick?" Ciaran asked sadly, raising a hand over her chest unconsciously. "We can't just leave him there, those agents must have gotten him..." As much as she wanted to turn the boat back the other way, she couldn't. The two Confederates were somewhere behind them.

John snorted and took out his Colt from it's holster, setting it in his lap with the safety on. "Maybe it's not a failure to you, but it is for my record." He looked up at the stars slowly appearing in the sky above them. "I'm not 'special' like you. No offense." He avoided using the word "freak" mainly because when stranded on a sand bar at night with someone who had powers and you didn't...well, it wasn't the smartest thing do.
