((So we can say that Bael observed the Ganzian techniques and made the cursor have the same teleportation effect. Ephlas is running towards the house with a giant turtle shell of rocks above him. The storm will not cease, ever. The Baeltan mountains has now become a No Man's Land. My recommendation to you is that you get. All. Your. Characters. The. Hell. Out. Of. There. If they stay, they. Will. Die. So retreat to the Gravity Mines! This is the ferocity of the Great Storm - now progressed to the Baeltan Mountains! It's a huge storm now.))
It wasn't just lightning. There was indeed lightning, everywhere. You couldn't blink without missing at least twenty bolts of lightning, in any direction, and the rain was now gushing down. It was a torrent, a waterfall, a downpour of epic proportions.
The wind was very great, too. It was the same conditions, over the Great Bay, that made travel through such a place impossible.
"Tela et Nor is angry," Ephlas murmured, before a final bolt (out of the over a thousand that had struck his rock shield already) destroyed his shield, leaving him sprawled out at the top of a hill, from which one could see the house it overlooked.
In a day, the entire mountain range would be devoid of life. There was no hope for this place, and no hope for its inhabitants. They were all going to die.
Ephlas had somehow summoned and progressed the Great Storm from its place in Tela et Nor - though for all he knew, it was still raging there as well, just now about triple in size as the leviathan storm had once been.
Ephlas scrambled to his feet, being thrown forward moments later by a lightning bolt that struck just behind him.
The lightning was attracted, not to metal, but to life.
It was the beginning of the end for Baelta.

Farfarello was just about to ask Krestre if he knew Kylas, the alchemist who'd helped him twelve years ago, but stayed his tongue at the sound of the storm overhead. He sprinted out of the door and whiteness the great storm overhead. "What the hell, Ephlas!?" He screamed, though wasn't sure if his voice made it to the mage over the thunder.

Raedou ran to Ephlas, threw his lightningrod to the ground and grabbed the mage by the shoulders and shook him.
"What have you done, mage?!" roared the Ganzi, "What fell magic could you possibly have summoned to plague these mountains?! TELL ME!!"
Perrault was still downstairs, examining the great curser.
Krestere was happy to see the boy so amazed.
"I bought it off an elven lad, much like yerself, Perrault. His name... be... ahh, yes... his name be Nav Terris! Nice man, good man..."
He then heard Raedou yelling from upstairs, and ran up to see what the commotion was all about.
Perrault's face was frozen in shock.
Nav Terris... he thought, Nav Terris, my father...

Farfarello, a sick feeling in his stomach at going against his nature, rushed back inside and screamed at Perrault, "Get out of here if you don't want to be killed by an alchemist storm, damn it!"

Ephlas couldn't help but be severely raddled and addled by the furious Ganzi. Raedou was, many times over as strong as the human Magus was.
"I- There- You don't under-" Ephlas tried to reply, multiple times, but was ravaged by a powerful shaking.
Then Ephlas turned his face skywards. The sky was... so dark and black, now. A queer kind of calm, a serene grace overcame Ephlas. Everything seemed slow and drawn-out, as if time itself had slowed.
This was how it felt right before you died.
Ephlas saw it first. The entire sky light up, become white for a single instant. But he was already struck, before he even realized that he was seeing a bolt of lightning.
Death did not pervade him, however. The bolt had hit, but hadn't done any damage. The two were still standing there, at the top of the hill, unscathed and unharmed.
This was peculiar.
Another bolt, all too real, struck the hillside below them, blasting chunks of rocky debris out into the air above. The hill formed into a rockslide, down, down, down, into the bottom ravine (not literally a ravine) that ran in between hilltops.
When they (or just Ephlas, whatever Raedou does isn't mine to say) slid down the rock slide, they/he landed in a shallow pool of water.
Except this pool encompassed the whole of the Baeltan mountain range. Already. A foot deep of water. In the mountains.
Though the mountains may tower hundreds of thousands of feet above, here at the very bottommost point of the hills, there was water. It should at least be draining off into the surrounding countryland.
Then Ephlas realized what was happening. They were located in a valley, in a natural bowl, that held no drainage to the lower areas outside of the mountains. The only way out of the valley was to go up and over mountains.
Or down and into caves.
Lightning, wind and unnatural storms were above. But below, an epic force of unnatural gravity awaited. Which was the more dangerous course? Which would prove fatal, and which - if not neither - would be the endurable journey?
The Great Storm had only been around for less than a year, but already it had killed more in that short time than the Gravity Mines had killed in all the ancient existence it owned as history.
Ephlas wanted to go down. This would be wise.
((Also, I have yet to mention this before, but I have a specific naming system for elements and objects and things of that sort - Tela et Nor? Not a random name. Tela et Lune? Luca et Nor? These are not random names - each thing has a specific magical word. The Gravity Mines, and a few spells by either K-JAG, SPI, or both, have been created. This does not need to be changed, and you can continue to make up your own words for the language. It simply isn't the same ancient language I use.))

((It isn't a comprehensive system. I could smooth it around the edges, however....
And no, k-jag, it isn't the same list. This system is for naming things, such as the Tela et Nor (Great Bay) and the other things, which you can find on the map. Also, the spells Ephlas mutters (not including the possible last few) are from this non-comprehensive list. It doesn't tell the types of magic, but it does have an Ancient Language name for each element.))

Perrault came to his senses and ran upstairs with Farfarello and Krestere. With him, he took a strange, ornate piece from the base of the giant curser.
Just as they left the house, a towering pillar of lightning struck at the roof. The giant curser was obviously too weak to stay this mighty crash... And the house was razed to the ground.
Krestere looked at the mass of wood and iron that was his beloved lodge... and then shrugged.
"Well, at least I got me broadsword with me..." he said, chuckling to himself a bit.
Perrault couldn't help but wonder if he was the reason that the giant curser could not reflect the lightning bolt. Without a word, he quickly shoved the shard into his pocket. And then, he realized that Raedou was nowhere to be seen.
"R-Raedou...?"
