Tunda blinks, lemon rind poking out of his mouth as he nibbled on the fruit itself. His ears perked upright at hearing Mel laugh, then rather delicately pulled what was left of the rind out of his mouth and took a large sip of the lemonade. "This is wonderful lemonade!" He says, purring a bit louder as he takes another sip.

"Glad you like!" Mel grinned. His glass was about half-gone now. Rising to his feet he half turned, "Feel free to pour some more if you want. I'm going to go make some more. You'd be surprised how quickly people get angry if there isn't some waiting for them." Come to think of it, by the time he and Tunda were done, he might very well have to make more. Again.

Tunda nods quickly, then finishes the rest of his glass in record time, standing up and walking slowly over to the pitcher to get some more of what was left.

He was almost surprised at how quickly Tunda went for the lemonade, but it was really good stuff. His batch probably wouldn't be as sweet as Keelin's (he had been the one to fix it this morning), he liked to make it more tart and drooling for more. Or just drooling.
Off to the fridge, where he grabbed a bag of lemons. Then to the sink to scrub off the number he would need to make a full pitcher. He had no doubt that by the time he was done, Tunda would have polished off what was in the pitcher. He pulled out a cutting board after drying off the lemons and started cutting. Then slicing a few, juicing the rest, and carving out the pulp. He liked pulp. "Just to warn you, my batch is going to be a little different."

Tunda tilts his head slightly, then grins. "Lemonade is lemonade. I like it whether it's sweet or sour." He quickly finishes his second glass, then concentrates on nibbling the lemon slices that were still in his glass, watching Mel make the next pitcher.

Mel was cooking something in a small pan on the stove: dissolving the sugar in water. That, apparently, was the secret to a perfect pitcher of lemonade. "Heh, well... if I ever make ya a bad batch I'll never know?" he teased. It really was a matter of taste though. Keelin made it sweet for the kids. But Mel had always liked a little sour in with the sweet. Otherwise, why use lemons? He approached the table and snatched up the pitcher. There was just a little bit left and Tunda was playing with the lemon at the bottom of his glass, so he topped off his own glass instead before carrying it back where he had been working.
He poured the juiced lemon and some fresh mint from the garden into the pitcher (mint was always a winner with Mel, and when he had discovered you could add it to lemonade, well. gee.), added the warm sugar mixture, and stirred it. When he was satisfied that the flavors were mixing, he added cold water and ice cubes.
When he returned, he said with a grin, "It's still going to be sweet, but it'll bite ya back."

Tunda's ears perk up at that, offering his glass for a refill of the batch that Mel made, wondering how much different from the previous batch Mel's would be. "Bite back? Like, lemon sour kick in after sugar sweet?"

"It's more sour. But I also added some mint, so there's also that," the dragon replied, reaching over to pour Tunda a glass from the new batch. He set the pitcher down before taking his seat. Since his glass still had lemonade from the previous batch, he drank that, watching to see what the pokemon's reaction would be.
There was another recipe he had been meaning to try, this one with basil. Maybe next time the weather was nice...
"What do you think?"

Tunda grins and nods. "I like it. Mint is good too. Helps with upset stomachs and headaches, right?" He sets the glass aside, having finished all he wanted to drink. He carefully hops down from the seat and picks up his empty glass, carrying it to the sink, then coming back for the lemon rinds, putting them in the garbage. "W-what now?"

Mel chuckled. "That it does. But don't tell anyone. They don't like to know when something not only tastes good but is good for them." He watched Tunda as he rose and started to put his things away. He had finished his glass and was now working on a half-glass of the mint-flavored lemonade. He'd had plenty already.
"What now?" he echoed, asking the same of himself. "I don't know... I guess that depends on how you're feeling. You know you don't have to push yourself. You're recovering and should take it easy. It's nothing to be ashamed of."

Tunda blinks, thinking for a moment, then shrugs slightly. "I-I don't know w-what we should do now... Except trying to put things back before someone trips on them in the d-dark....." He looks down at his feet, shuffling one foot against the floor slightly.

"Oh, don't worry about that. I can hunt someone down to help me. You can just relax; you have no obligation to help me finish. Maybe go out back or something." He watched Tunda fidget a little. "What do you want to do?"

Tunda blinks and looks up at Mel, blinking blankly. "I... don't know what I want to do... I do know I want to help finish what we started, I'm just... not strong enough yet..." This weakness he had was something he was growing tired of, and damnit, he was determined to prove he wasn't a weakling to the much stronger dragon.

Mel sighed and stood up, hands going to his hips as he watched Tunda. There was no talking him out of it then. "Well, I suppose I'll let you help finish." He grabbed at the pitcher of lemonade and spun on his heel, headed for the fridge. "Unfortunately for you, drinking all that lemonade made me hungry. So we're going to eat first. Or you can just watch me eat, whichever you prefer." He wasn't starving, he wasn't really lying either. The dragon could always truthfully say he was hungry, unless he had eaten a meal in the past hour or so. That's just how he was.

Tunda blinks, then nods and sits back down, eyeing the floor as if it were the most fascinating thing in the world to him at the moment. "I... I can c-cook if you want..?" He offers, still looking at the floor, his voice almost too soft to hear.
