Amelia got up and slowly and silently and walked to the kitchen, seemingly only responding to Ivy's request for the sake of Holly. Then, with no warning, Holly leaped off of the couch and out the door. Hearing the noise and Holly screams from the kitchen, Amelia immediately booked after her out the door, past Drake, Rei, and Alex, paying them no mind, and she continued to chase after Holly. "Holly, wait!" She yelled after her, "What are you doing?"

Alekssander was listening intently to Drake when two figures that resembled Holly and Amelia raced past them. He stood there for about half a second, trying to comprehend what he just saw, but he suddenly snapped out of it, and sprinted after both of them. "$hit," he said to himself, "What the hell are they doing?"

Rei gently weaved through the crowd, and emerged on Holly. "I'll go check on him, you stay here with them okay?" Rei whispered into her ear as he picked her up gently, and walked back into the house putting her on the couch.

Before the others had a chance to return to the house, he ran past them in a flash of orange and brown, as he threw on his tattered old cloak. He ran quickly through the streets and alleys, before running up to the roofs, making the path more direct. He slowed down to a stealthy ninja run as he approached, and saw the door in the alley was slightly open, he heard voices inside, and smelt the pure evil radiating from them.

He loved the fact that in this form, he was more like a man who smelled like a cat, but the cloaks ratty old smell was doing a good job covering that much up. He watched and listened carefully to the conversation going on, before his eye finally caught the silhouette of Carl's motionless body laying in a heap on the floor.

Holly didn't want Rei to leave her again, she knew there was danger back at the bar. "Alex, go find Rei. Go help him, he can't make it on his own. Please." Holly croaked as she turned onto her side.

Ivy returned to the house before Drake who stayed in the doorway. Ivy walked quietly to the kitchen and returned with a glass of water. "Here, drink this, sweety."

"Who are you, anyway?" Holly asked as she took the glass shakily.

"I'm a friend of Cliff's, he'll be here soon. I'm supposed to help you untill he gets here to get you better." Ivy said as she sat down and put Holly's head in her lap.

Holly drank the water and nodded, understanding. She finished the glass and dropped it to the floor carefully, closing her eyes as she hiccuped from the traumatizing experience that still left her mind bleeding.

Drake watched his sister carefully, growing more and more angry. He wanted to follow Rei, but he knew Alex should go and help him, and Drake should stay behind with Ivy and Amelia just in case. He just hoped Cliff would show up soon.

Remus smiled at Roman as he smelled the air, "I smell a hint of cat."
"Our lucky night. I'll go fetch the bag, you find the cat, and then we can throw it in the pond. Sound good, brother?" Roman chuckled.
"Excelent." Remus hissed as he turned into a shadow.
Remus left the bar as only a flash of black, melting into the rest of his surroundings easily once in the dark.
Roman walked casually out the back and looked around, looking for somewhere to pounce.

Remus quickly locked onto Rei and slithered up the building's wall untill he was only a puddle of a shadow behind the cat-like man. The puddle slowly lifted and bubbled upward untill he was a black sillouette of a man standing behind Rei. Remus laughed quietly, "Good evening."
Roman heard his brother's laugh and immediately sprung into the air, landing quietly on the next roof over from the two.

Remus looked at Rei's hand in his cloak and shook his head, "I wouldn't do that, feline."
Roman looked away and jumped down from his building, ocassionaly showing up for a second as he jumped away from them.
Remus sniffed and then returned his attention to Rei, "Indeed, we killed the man. We believed that he was with-holding information from us. Information about you, of course."
Roman lept onto a building and croutched, watching as Alex approached them without even notcing their presence. He smiled maliciously and carefully followed behind him.

The was a knock at the door and Drake answered it before the person could fully finish, "What took you so long?"

Cliff carefully stepped past him, pushed up his glasses, studied Holly from where he stood, and absentmindedly, "I had things to finish up, like I told you."
Cliff wore a black trench coat, infact everything about his clothing and excessories was black, besides his silver rimmed glasses which he peered through steely. He held a doctor's medical bag in his left hand and his other was balled in black gloves. He looked slightly angry compared to his normal smiling self, but still very focused as always.
He stepped forward to Ivy and Holly on the couch and waved his hand at Ivy who quietly removed herself from the couch.
"Do we not have a cot to put her on? This couch may be comfortable, but it is not the proper thing for her to be on while I give her this treatment."

Holly looked up at Cliff and smiled weakly, "You made it...What's wrong?" she asked as she studied his dark expression.

He gave her a smile, "I should be asking you that question."

"We all know what's wrong with me. Why do you look so upset?" Holly asked sternly, then coughed. It annoied her that she seemed so weak when she wanted to be strong.

"I had to leave things that I would not normally leave. I have many opportunities out there. But for you, since you're going through this again, I knew I couldn't pass it up." He smiled again as Drake came with a cot.
"Can you move, darling?" He asked.

"Yeah, I think so." Holly grunted as she raised up onto her elbows.

Once they had moved her to the cot and Cliff had laid out all of his medical things he quickly went to work. He gave her a fair dose of antibiotics and then other such medicines he thought would help her through things. Finally he hooked her up to an IV drip that gave her steady doses of a medicine he had designed specially for the ECs, and other such beings, to help them through their sickness after recieving theirs gifts or going through the maturing stage.
Holly went to sleep quickly and Cliff got up with a sigh as he took off his glasses. "She'll be fine for about a day. When she wakes up we'll be able to tell if my treatment is working. I imagine she's already through the worst of it; she's been in this for a few days. I'm glad you called me."

Drake nodded and looked at Cliff honestly, "Thank you for coming. I owe you."

"Big time."

((That's okay, Alix, I understand! ^_^ I had just come home and was a little distracted by my brother talknig to me. Sorry! >.< But thanks for fixing it for me! biggrin ))

He's a very very good friend of ours, Holly and me. He was there for us when we first escaped and has saved Holly's life once or twice before this, and mine too. We owe everything to him..." Drake said as he crossed his arms and leaned against a wall.

Remus looked to Alex and his black hole of a heart fluttered with excitement. "Well well well, look who has come to play. An opponent worthy of my time. Non the less than Alex, one of the Scientist's most powerful secrets. Where's Amelia? Or is she at home with the sick little one and her brother who we found earlier?"

"Lies. I can sense the darkness of them seeping from your mouth. You can not lie to one of the shadows like me, I'll know. Just as you can not lie to your sick one." Remus said, starting to get angry and antsy. "You of all dark creatures should know that."
Roman thudded heavily behind Alex, a creepy grin on his face. "Want to play?"
"Too bad we can not kill you, it would have been more fun." Remus grinned and dissappeared into the dark.
Just as his brother dissappeared Roman leapt passed Alex and onto Rei, punching him hard in the face before he coulod really get on gaurd.
Remus crawled up Alex's leg, covering his body with the oily black of the shadows that he was. He hurried up to his face and settled there as he tried to control Alex's mind.

"I'm going to go listen." Drake said anxiously as he headed up to the roof. He laid down and oepened his mind wide to try to reach all the way to where he suspected Rei and Alex to be, and to the areas immediate himself so he could be on gaurd for enimies.

Rei stepped back from the blow of Roman's punch. "Nice shot..." He said angrily. He then wiped his lip, and laughed a little. "look at that, I'm bleeding..." He said noting a small spot of blood. His face then twitched, his eyes slit, his teeth and nails grew larger, and he became more muscular.

He then rushed at Roman, swinging at incredible speeds, not diminished in the slightest by his bigger muscles, in fact, they seem to allow him to move faster. He began doing a series of combos to Roman, the likes of which would shatter the bones of most. The flurry of punches and kicks would only slow long enough for Rei to move back in closer if Roman was pushed back to far. 'wow, I guess I can control the beast better then i thought...' he thought to himself as a sudden thought of holly struck through his mind, and he grew angrier, and became stronger and faster still.
