Penelope eyed the new cook curiously. He was older than she was, so he probably had more experience than she did, but he had also said 'assistant cook.' It was a good idea for her to have some help in the kitchen, especially since the crew had grown.
"It's okay with me, if it's okay with you, sir." Penelope looked to Mr Daniel.

"ok then, welcome aboard Mr. Burguess. "
To the rest of the crew, "I'm still not completely sure about what route we will go, if anyone has a special destination in mind we can just go on a voyage type of deal. the new Khaos' Maiden voyage if you will. well under my command."
The khaos had been around for well over 20 years so 'maiden' was not really a adequate term.
Snagging a chunk of bread (having missed the food talking) he turns to talon. "We can get started on this wing o mine now if you'd like. after we git it functional again, i will notify the stationmaster as to our plans and to hold our docking spot till we get back."

Abigail walked out of her lavatory, rubbing her towel over her wet hair. Sighing, she enjoyed the feel of clean cotton and fresh linens- an infinite improvement from her former bloody attire. Tossing the towel away into her small pile of dirty laundry she suddenly realized that would be another task to take care of. Not only would her clothes require care but the bloody sheets and cloths from the medbay. Add onto that pile the rest of the crew’s whatnots and it was an entire lot that had to be washed. Sitting on a chair, she pulled on her boots and continued her thoughts. It was extremely obvious that the ship would need as many mechanics and technical positions as possible and that it would need a defense system but there was still much that would eventually need time to be taken by others who weren’t so mechanically inclined. Not that she herself wanted to go about scrubbing floors and dusting machines but there would come a time when there would need to be a bit of spring cleaning so to say and she found it funny that even such advanced things such as the Khaos would need something so small. Of course there were the clanks, they could be programmed to do the job but it seemed as if there were a limited supply of them and it would be foolish to use them for trivial matters such as housekeeping.
Abigail frowned, pushing her hair out of her face and securing it with a simple band. She wasn’t quite sure why she was thinking so much about silly things like that. She supposed that it was her mind’s way of escaping, avoiding all the more pressing matters at hand by focusing on the trivial. Glancing at the clock on her wall, her stomach growled and her eyes drooped with fatigue. While outwardly she vowed never to go gallivanting about at times when respectable people should be sleeping, in the back of her mind she knew that there were events approaching that would force her to either adopt a vampiric sleep cycle or go mad with insomnia.
Groaning and pushing herself away from her dresser, she walked out of her room and headed towards the medbay. She needed to switch out the sheets and get everything cleaned up before things were too disgusting. Pausing at the entrance, her stomach protested angrily. She made a note to stop by the galley after she was done cleaning up.

George turned to Penelope. "What is it that you would like for me to do, Miss?" he asked, bowing his head respectfully. He examined a lose button on his jacket momentarily, before finishing; "If there is nothing you need done at this moment, I have some sewing to do, it appears."

She smiled at Daniel "Sure once you get fixed up could you show me how to use my gilding wings? I dont want the kitchen to get all greasy." She sat down across from him. ""Well go to docking room and Ill fix you up." She wiped off the wrench and put it in her bag.
She sighed after a moment siting back. "How did you get this ship any way."

Daniel grinned at this, The story of how he go t the Khaos had not been told to everyone yet. "I won her in a card game. The old captain and I were playing for money at a local tavern. (the Flautis perhaps?) When i got my last hand i upped my bet with all i had left. a rather fool hardy move but i was sure i couldn't lose, not with that hand. The captain matched my bet with his ship's pink slip." (ooc note surprised r whatever the steam punk equivalent is)
"our game had been raging back and forth for several hours. The captain clearly the better player. when his ship and my gold were in the pot, he laid his cards down with a great amount of satisfaction, ready to claim my gold. a Straight. Barely containing my excitement/panic, I lay my hand down, Royal Flush."
"The captain was stunned for a moment then laughed uproariously. he slid me the note of owner ship got up and slapped me on the back almost face planting me into the table. Said something about wanting to move on to greener pastures anyway, and to take good care of the Khoas."

Sasha having a slice of bread in her mouth hopped over to the captain and talon. she began to examine his wings and began to pull wrenches, screwdrivers, cogs and such from her multipocket half apron. the gobbled down the bread with a smile "never leave home without your tools. . . you never know when you need to do a emergency job"

"Whoa there Sasha, please, lets not mess up the mess hall eh?" Perhaps we can head on down to the hold so we can get to work getting this wing un-bent. The hanger has a forge as well we can use if we need it."
Daniel grins at all the stuff Sasha had produced out of her tool vest. A mechanic and/or pilot was nothing without his tools. Daniel himself carried a few mini tool kits hidden about his person for quick maintenance (can't leave home with out your tools if you are a clank man)

Pulling the bloody sheets together into a ball of cloth, Abigail tossed them into the same basket she had thrown her bloodstained clothing into. She would go on the hunt for a laundry room later. There was a faint whir of gears and suddenly a clank rolled smoothly over to her. Grinning up at her metallic friend, Abigail put her hands on her hips and mockingly scolded him.
“Oh come now, we really must stop meeting like this. Haven’t you anything better to do than to lurk about?” An almost human shrug. “Ah well, to each his own.”
Turning on her heel, Abigail left the medbay and headed for the galley, her stomach rumbling with anticipation. Whirs and metallic hums fell into rhythm with her footsteps; a quick glance over her shoulder confirmed that Mary had found herself a tall, robotic lamb. Chuckling, Abigail turned down the hallway, noticing the line of people that were hurrying out of the galley. She didn’t mind being late and missing the rush. Hopefully though the cook would have something decent left over.

having remained quite and attentive almost the entire time, getting to know the desription of the floor, being that was what he was looking at lost in a thought he looked up as the captain told his story of the ship letting a small grin play along his lips for once
"If you all dont mind im going to have to excuse myself, its been wonderful being here and all but....if we're ever going to hope to fly the engines need to work"
with that he bowed his head and flashe the peace sign exiting the room making his way down to the engine room, entering he sets himself to work right away

Daniel nods at Nysth, "there may not be much to do with the engines by what Ace told me about them" Daniel calls out as the man leaves.
"alrigh, if you like we can head on down to the hold now." Daniel finishes off his bread and heads out to the hold.
Once there, Daniel notices a hat hung on one wall. An old pair of over sized pilots goggles are wrapped around the officers hat. "well i am an officer now i guess." Daniel thinks and tries the hat on.

having spent much of his life around machines it was easy as counting, he worked for literally a matter of moments before throwing his jacket on and stepping out of the engine room, making his way to the upper decks, then to the main hold figuring as a pilot thats where he would go, he tapped the captain on the sholder politely and almost mumbled
"She's ready to fly at your orders"

"We shouldn't work where we eat we might get every thing all greasy. Im Talon by the was I dont think we have met." She was very excited to see another girl engineer, who seemed to love her work as much as she did. "May I ask what your specialty is?"

That Guy 52 George turned to Penelope. "What is it that you would like for me to do, Miss?" he asked, bowing his head respectfully. He examined a lose button on his jacket momentarily, before finishing; "If there is nothing you need done at this moment, I have some sewing to do, it appears." "Well, when everyone leaves we're going to need to clean up." Penelope leaned against the counter behind her and tried to pay attention to the conversation. She didn't want them working on anything mechanical in the galley on principal, work and meals shouldn't be combined. As the crew found their way to other places on the airship, Penelope got two dishrags and tossed one to Mr George. "We need to wipe down the tables and wash the dishes."
