Miyu padded into kitchen wandering over to Kara. Hugging her grandmother's legs, her wings fluttering in a content state. She smiled up at everyone before climbing up to sit beside her grandmother.
"Mi... much better?"
"Very," Kara giggled putting a hand upon the little girl's head.

"Were you?" Lin asked as she padded up to her nephew, "I'm not that late am I?"
It was hard before to imagine Celebor older than her, but now, she could see him as one of those adults she would always hang around. Which was a huge leap at times.

"Aye," Celebor smiled at Lin, budging over a bit so she could hop up on the bench. "After you left the Southland, when I was staying there, Sir Valdemar put some runes on my bow, but they're different from the ones Grandma uses. He told me that they would only work in this world, and that to find out why I had to ask Aragost because he himself didn't know, and that when I do ask him, you should be there, too. Something about one of the questions you had that would be answered at the same time."

Lin climbed up, settling herself down beside Celebor. Her eyes were bright when realization, because she knew exactly what Sir Valdemar had been talking about.
"I know! Sir Valdemar was working on a magic book, and he said the originial language is the only thing that works for it, and I wanted to know why is it the original language is the only one that works for magic like that. He said to ask Aragost when I have the chance."

Celebor chuckled. "Aye, that sounds about right," he agreed. "But our problem for the moment is this: I'm leaving with your father first thing in the morning, and leaving probably quite soon after we return, so if we want to ask him about it, we have to ask him tonight, right after dinner. Do you think that would work?"
He looked over at Kara. "What do you think, Grandma?" he asked her. "You wanted to see it too, right?"

Kara could resist something like this, and she nodded. She was quite interested, though she understood how some runes would have power over others, but still she would just love to see those runes.
"Of course."

Lin nodded, she was eager with the idea of being able to ask that soon.
"Okay! We can go after dinner, that would be good because you should know to, since you were wondering too."

After supper was over and the table had been cleared, Celebor grabbed his bag once more and waited at the door for Lin and Kara. He knew it was late and that the others would probably be going to bed soon, but he wanted to know about these runes, probably as much as or more than Kara, and possibly even Lin.
"All ready?" he asked, his green eyes glowing brightly with eagerness, though his tone was calm and patient.

Kara smiled as she made sure to tell Miyu to take a bath first, since she it would take longer for her hair to dry. Once she made sure things were settled she joined Celebor and Lin.
"I'm ready."

"Ready!" Lin exclaimed.
She stood beside Celebor, very eager and besides she hadn't visited Aragost yet. Even though she was probably going to spend time with him anyhow.

Celebor grinned and nodded, then started out the door.
"You're going to have to tell us where to go, Lin," he told his aunt softly. "I don't know where Aragost lives, after all."
Of course there was also the chance that he might not be in his quarters, but that wasn't worth worrying about.

Lin nodded as she pointed towards the barracks, "Good thing Adan told me earlier, he lives right across from Elros."
She wondered if that was done on purpose since Elros knew Aragost best. Not only that, but Aragost tended to make other people very nervous still.
"I hope he's in, he might have a late shift."

Celebor smiled. He hoped so, too. After all, he could read what the runes said, know what they were for and what they did, but it was interesting as well to know how they worked - or why they worked - and why only here, if Kara's runes worked in any world.
When they reached the barracks, Celebor held the door open for Lin and Kara.
"After you," he nodded.

Lin giggled as she ducked in, she pointed down one hallway.
"This way! The stairs is this way!"
Turning around she headed towards the stairs, though she had to be careful since it was very dark.

"Lin," Kara murmrued as she stepped in.
It was so dark, she thought to herself. So her eyes couldn't make out the dark and she had never been inside the building before.
"Don't go too far ahead."
