Much to Molly's delight Maddox walked into her office. He was followed shortly by a new but familiar man. "Of course." Molly replied to Maddox. "And I thought I asked you to call me Molly outside of meetings." When Maddox said Craig's name she immediately recalled him as the very polite gentleman she had met the day of her interview with Han Matsui. She had originally written off judgment of him as she did not think that she would be seeing him again. And yet here the man was, in her new office. s**t! Molly's Mind spiraled into a hurricane of thought while her face held the cool, calm and collected face of polite welcome. What the hell happened that made Han send someone to see me! Did I make a mistake somewhere? No. Did I offended anyone? No. Does he think I'm a spy? An undercover agent? Who knows. I have to get more information before I react, I have no idea what my move should be, I need to play defensive, be safe, be careful.
Molly stood and extended her hand with a very bright smile just containing her burning concern. "It is great to see you again as well Mr. Kasai. My accommodations here are very well, the Matsui's are all very generous. Why, have you heard any different?"

With each deliberately slow word that Jun spoke, Kyrin eyed him. What a weirdo. She thought as she shifted in her chair. His next question was one that left her near speechless. <********> And suddenly she realized that she had dug her own grave. What do I say to that? I already told him that I didn't have the time to teach him. But here I am teaching Nori. She thought on it for a moment. She was spending her free time with Nori in the kitchen exchanging words in other languages to learn something new; she hadn't expected Jun to ever have known. It wasn't that she was trying to not spend time with him, but he was just not... pleasant. Nori was pleasant. Jun bordered on creepy and annoying. Plus Kyrin was teaching Japanese, not English. Somehow, in her mind, there was a difference. She still honestly believed that Xavier would be better suited to teach the other man, but apparently Jun wasn't going to ask Xay."Yes, Nori is teaching me German and in return I supply some Japanese. I would say you could join us for your English, but I don't believe that we would get very far. I still believe that Xavier would be better suited to help you in that area." In her mind she thought that would be a good enough answer, but then after thinking it over for a moment she had the sinking feeling that the overzealous Jun would try to worm his way around any logic she might throw at him.

A smile spread across Craig's lips to return to Molly's own. His business smile was just that, hiding everything but the slight curve of his lips. "I'm glad to hear and no I haven't I just wanted to make sure that you were doing well here, that you had everything you needed. We would expect nothing less then the employees be given what they need to do their work." He gestured a moment to her pile of papers, "Would you perhaps need more space for all this paper work?" He glanced at Maddox, "I am quite sure that it could be arranged."

Maddox gave a quick nod, a slight stutter in his words, "O-of course! If you should ever need anything, please just let me know... Molly." He seemed to stumble over her name, unfamiliar still with addressing her so informally.
As Molly and Craig spoke with one another, Maddox worried slightly over the placement of Malika's office. Perhaps I should have asked her if she wanted one of the offices on the floors above? They are bigger... If Jaydn was alright with the idea, there were plenty of free offices within the building on one of the higher floors.

That is either a relief, or very bad news. Molly held her very professional front, just as Mr. Kasai was. "Thank you very much, but I find this office to be the perfect size for my usage. Mr. Matsui here allowed me to select it myself. As I said, they have been very generous." This means he either is just make a polite visit, or he is testing me, challenging my loyalties to see if I can be trusted. Molly continued, "I know it may seem a little busy in here, but I have never not completed a job. I am too prideful to give in to adversity, in fact I would say I rather enjoy the challenge presented." I cannot let him see me sweat, I cannot look weak. If they thought I was going to flop on them, I might find my new office at the bottom of the lake. Molly made a mental note to look into what large bodies of water were located in and around the city.

Juns smile fell from his face at Kyrin's response. Jun looked down into the bowl of ingredients Nori had him stirring solemnly. Resuming his task, Jun said, "Yes of course, I'll have to ask Xavier." And with that Jun turned back to preparing the meal quietly. It's a stupid language anyway.

The week progressed slowly; although Kyrin was quite sure that she would like it to be done and over. Another couple days in, however, Ky would have given anything for the time to have reversed. She could deal with Craig, with Jaydn’s near constant bitching, but she wasn’t ready for the sudden departure of her cousins and how it left her in charge with the problems they were starting to face. Suddenly Kyrin realized that it was her time to prove herself, but she couldn’t help but feel defeated by the fact that the only reason she got the opportunity was because Jaydn and Maddox had been pulled away to Japan; something involving their father. When it came up as to why Xavier didn’t leave, the youth had responded, Jay and Maddox can take care of it without me, I would be of better use here. It had given Kyrin some hope that things weren’t as bad in Japan as she thought they were.
Her week had started off with normal work, with the exception of Craig showing up. The night after he arrived however, she’d thought would be uneventful, but apparently Craig had other ideas, and with that she was forced to confront her problems with him. The morning after, Kyrin had been awoken by Nori and had to face what her relationship with Miles really was. Sweet nothings. Even with Nori’s words to make her question herself and what exactly it was she was doing, Kyrin couldn’t resist spending more time with Miles outside of work.
When the call came, however, everything came to a screeching halt and Kyrin watched Jaydn and Maddox drive away. For a few hours after they left Kyrin wasn’t sure if she was ready to take on the responsibility, but the more she thought about it, the more she knew that she had to. It wasn’t a choice. It was her job. Craig left shortly after the brothers and after Miles’ confrontation with him, had left Kyrin alone. It had been several days into the next week and things in the city had taken a turn that no one had expected. The morning was nearing nine and Kyrin was settled in her new make shift office. With a sigh she shook her head at the information that both Charles and Miles had for her.

The weather had been getting colder as Winter approached; few remnants of autumn still held steadfast to the trees within the city. Miles loved this weather. But things had not been going so well for others in the city. And their problems became Miles' problem. Strange accounts of murder had been happening recently. It was not the typical shoot-down common killings that happened everyday in every city. It was happening within well known criminal circles; Reminiscent almost of gang wars, but this didn't seem to be the case. They happened sporadically without pattern, and Miles suspected it was either some sort of undercover law-enforcement backlash or maybe even just the work of some criminal organizer with a grudge. For all he knew, these people may have been indebted to someone powerful and had some wrath distributed against them because of it. In any case, At the rate things were happening, it was not too hasty to expect an attack on one of their own in time. Not to mention, some of their own important outside contacts could be in trouble. Miles, Charles, and Kyrin had gathered to discuss this bit of a problem. There was little they could do however, because there was so little information on the murders themselves. A lot of it had been hushed up by the victim's own criminal contacts, in case it actually was the work of gang rivals. The police didn't have much of a say in the media, as it was little concern to them with what happened to the already-damned. " Information is the only weapon we can use right now, " Miles said to them. He leaned back in his chair, looking at the pale colors of the season visible from the high window. " With what little of it that can be gathered. The whole thing will probably blow over soon, but we can't be too careful." He had shared his theories with them earlier, and the whole lot if it seemed to leave a bad taste in their mouths. These events had been happening while Jaydn and Maddox were still around, but at that point they weren't even noteworthy. It was only now that the murders had increased, and Miles felt, just as much as Kyrin, that if things escalated, it would be their chance to set things right and prove themselves. Part of Miles was glad to have this opportunity to step up to the plate, but another part had been sad to see Jaydn go.

Charles paced the length of office, trying to calm his temper. It was a rare thing for Charles to be up in arms, but he was stumped, lacking sleep, and one problem kept coming after the next. Not to mention both older Matsui boys had taken their leave. Their sudden departure was just another straw on the camels back. It wasn't that Charles didn't think that Kyrin could do the job, it was that he was sure Jaydn could. Although, he was sure that wasn't particularly fair, Kyrin was doing everything that Charles would have known Jaydn to do. She was just an unfamiliar leader. Pausing in his current path, Charles placed himself unceremoniously into the chair beside Miles. With a deep breath in, he sighed and said, "It is just hard to believe that we have no one that can figure anything out." He shook his head and folded his hands together in his lap. They had been on the search since things had gotten bad and usually they would have had a lead or some information by now, but they had nothing and it was making some of the men a little worried. Charles was irritated because with his men worried, they did their work less and showed their concern more. He looked over to Miles, "I think that perhaps this is just the beginning of something larger, though, not something that will blow over. Its escalating and we need to figure out what is going on before the climax."

Miles gave a small sigh, pulling a hand through his hair. " It's impossible to tell what may happen. " He could appreciate Charles' concern, but Miles did not show nearly as much dismay. " But what we do need is either a new recruit, or someone we already have to sweep the streets for information. " Which Miles was not too keen about. That meant making friendly with street criminals with bribe money, or risking one of their men to be sly about it. And this wasn't the sort of job they'd throw to some nameless peon. " What do you think Kyrin?" Miles had long since abandoned the 'miss' before her name.

Kyrin listened to both of them closely and leaned back in the chair. Over the last couple days, there were a lot of concerns being raised over the fact that the 'killers' were ghosts, people who couldn't be detected or found. Miles was right, information was the only thing that was going to help them now but the problem was they were having difficulty getting it. It had been on Kyrin's mind to find a way around the severe lack of knowledge the group still had about the city. They had spread out, learned what they could, but it still hadn't been enough; they just hadn't been in the city long enough to know the city like the back of their hands. But... Kyrin thought she might know someone who did. "I think that you both have valid points and that we need to stay alert. We don't need to be losing anyone right now." Plus Jaydn would use it as a reason why I shouldn't lead. He would say I just get people killed. And that thought fueled her next statement. "There were a few men, I am not sure if you remember them." She spoke to both men, "Caiden and Riley Flynn. They have been in this town all their lives. They know the ins and outs." She paused, "Jaydn was supposed to be keeping in touch with them about possible entry, but it seems it wasn't very high on his list." She thought for a moment, "But to ease everyones worries right now, it might be could for it to be high on my priority list." She knew that neither Charles nor Miles would be appropriate to fetch the twins, but perhaps she could send Jun for them. Even though Jun was still relatively new to their group, he was still one of the people who knew the streets better then most since he spent almost every night roaming them. "With a fresh perspective, we might be able to figure something out."

" I remember them. " Miles remarked, somewhat to himself. He also remembered that Jaydn indented to make him babysit one of them whenever it was that they had needed to come back. Miles had been very put off on the idea, and hopefully now that plan had fell through. It was reasonable to put the twins up for the job. " Since they're trusted by Jaydn personally, I'll try and trust them too. At least it wouldn't be too terrible of a loss if they somehow got themselves killed. And if they manage to prove that they are valuable, then all the better." Until they could show their worth, their lives meant very little to Miles. He stood up casually to look out of the large windows, down to the streets below. "We'll just have to make sure they don't go doing anything drastic, or other circles will think we're involved with the murders. The last thing we want are vendettas against us at this time. We have to remain, at least in their eyes, neutral for now. "

With all her attention on Miles now, Kyrin folded her arms over her chest, shifting slightly in her chair. She watched his silhouette against the early morning light streaming through the window. The way he talked about the lives of the Flynn brothers was not something she had expected. It wasn't to say that she would prefer them to go over one of their own people, but she couldn't agree that 'it wouldn't be too terrible of a loss if they somehow got themselves killed.' Kyrin managed to keep her face clear of any emotion as she thought on his words. It had taken her a long time to come to terms with killing someone, but that was when they were on the opposite side. Since the Flynn brothers would be working with them, Kyrin thought it terribly cold to disregard their lives so simply. It almost made her think a little less of him, almost, but he'd grew up closer to the streets than she had, so maybe his callous nature stemmed from there. When he finished, Kyrin said, "I will take care to insure that they will be discrete. And if not me then I will have someone for them to report to because I cannot agree more, we need to stand neutral this early in the game." She looked at them both, "If there is nothing more then I believe that we are done here. Thank you both for your concern and your hard work."
Charles soaked in the words. He had met the Flynn brothers as well and if at this point someone could give them some sort of information then he was for it. If they messed it up, they could be taken care of. With Kyrin's dismissal, Charles stood and nodded to them both, "Miss Kyrin. Miles." And he left them, seeming a little calmer then minutes before, but still on edge.

As Charles made his leave, Miles did not follow; at least, not immediately. He continued to stare down onto the city streets. The streets that were not yet theirs. The whole situation was going to be on his mind for a while, but he couldn't let it distract him from his own work. Now he had to take on Maddox's workload, but he couldn't appreciate it that much considering he only received the psuedo-promotion by temporary default. He would just have to prove that he was more than capable. Turning to leave, Miles moved his gaze away from the overcast clouds to look at Kyrin. Her eyes always reflected back a clear sky. " It looks like the both of us will be pretty busy for a while." Which was to say, they would be seeing each other a lot more at work than in between. "Let me know if...When... Jaydn gets in touch." Sporadic murders. I'd like to see them try it here. He gave a wry smile as he opened the door to leave. "But don't let them feel like they have to come back too soon. We can enjoy it for a little while. Nothing we can't handle, right? " As usual, his tone of confidence was as strong as ever. With that, Miles closed the door and made his way back to his office.

Draven let out an aggravated breath once he was in the hall and away from Jaydn, I can’t stand that b*****d, he thought to himself as he made his way farther away from the room. There were more important matters right now other than going to Kyrin, those would have to come first; reason over passion. Draven threw his coat into the air and slipped his arms into it, letting it fall over his shoulders before he pulled down on either side of the collar to make sure it sat straight. He also replaced the revolver in it’s home in the back of his pants. Draven dug his hand into a pocket and pulled forth his phone, dialing the number to one of his contacts, “Thanks for your assistance in this.. Yes, you’ll get your money”, he then flipped the phone shut and let out a small curse, money.. Why was it always money.
Draven worked his way through the halls still, having no particular direction as he worked out his thoughts and plans. Jaydn would make things harder for sure, and he was almost certain that putting a bullet in the pricks head would do him no real good, other than of course the satisfaction of his death. Kyrin wouldn’t be pleased with that though.
As his thoughts swirled, he took a right turn, and made his way to the exterior door, Air, I need air. Draven hoped to god he wouldn’t see Kyrin until he could come up with a good way of explaining the meeting to her, in the least truthful way possible. Deception was of course, more preferable to the truth.
