"Quiet Jusaku, its not our place." Devi hissed, "its not your buisness..." the jealousy clear in her voice. She could never compare...

Eros slowly opened his eyes. The moon seemed to reveal her crooked smile simply to mock him. As he turned his gaze from the moon and looked to Jusaku, the queation finally registered in his mind. "I lost control. Nothing more. I thank you for your help, Jusaku." Eros had reverted back to his calm, yet slightly offsetting, demeanor. He hated losing control. But worse, he hated when others witnessed it.

"Fine." He walked out of the room and sat by Alexia. "I hate it when people don't tell me things."

"Jusaku, leave him...Let him rest...Lets go have a drink or two, maybe twelve..." She sighed, shivering slightly.

The_Cuteness_Cat "Jusaku, leave him...Let him rest...Lets go have a drink or two, maybe twelve..." She sighed, shivering slightly. "You have become quite the drunkard." He laughed, handing her a glass of blood wine.

Eros knew he must have said something. He could not remmeber anything from the past half hour or so. He could only rememberwitnessing Jusaku's memories and the hurt look masking Devivnity's visage. He refused to search her mind. It would be much too dangerous now. He touched the place on the floor where his own tears had drenched it. "Why now? Why must you come to haunt me?" Eros knew Jusaku wanted a better explanation, but that was something Eros could not give him. As the demon's memories cascaded back into his mind he let them flow. Locking them away so soon could be harmful to him. He just prayed Jusaku would never ask about Rebecca. He could only pray he had not called out her name in his painful stupor. For Devinity's sake, he hoped he had remained silent of such things.

Devi simply glared at Jusaku, in no mood for games, she walked down to the kitchen and retrived a glass. Feeling it was a bit more sophisticated than straight from the bottle. She felt no need to summon up the glass, it was better to live in the world around her, she came back up the stairs slowly and walked up the hall, past Eros' door, looking at the floor, holding her bottle tightly.

Fallen Angel Louis Eros knew he must have said something. Jusaku knew that looking in Eros might cause more pain. But, he was wondering what his blood was doing to him. Demonic blood had different properties that differed from being to being. He saw Devi go up the stairs. Hopefully she wasn't going to use alcohol to wash away her pain.

Eros heard Devinity rush past his room. He also felt her anger and sorrow and betrayal. He knew he would have to speak with her eventually. The question now was whether to make "eventually" become now or stay eventually. Eros stood slowly. He crossed the short path from his own door to that belonging to Devi. He stood within the door frame but continued no further. She knew he was there, it was up to her to him in.

Devi sat with her back to the doorway, pouring a glass of dragonblood wiskey. "Dont bother to explain..." She whispered.

The silence filled itself with tension. It was suffocating. Eros did not move; she had not invited him in. He leaned slightly on the door frame and stared at her back. "What did I say?" He was serious. He was not trying to mock her and he hoped she understood that.

She turned to him, stareing into his eyes, for the first time her eyes were cold, empty. "You called for her...Your precious Rebecca again." She said the last few words coldly, quietly.

Eros' fears had become his reality. He knew Rebecca was gone, however, his memories did not. He knew nothing he could say truthfully would comfort Devinity. Eros hated himself. He hated himself for loving Rebecca. He hated himself for loving Devinity. Mostly, he hated himself for betreying them both. There was nothing more to say. They both knew that. Eros slowly turned and walked down the hall. He descended the steps and stood the front step of the castle outside.

Devi threw her glass against the wall, smashing into pieces and she tipped up the bottle to her lips. Drinking deeply. She wanted to pass out and forget. To kill every impulse in her body screaming for her to run after him. "Stop it stop it stop it!" She screamed to herself, over and over.

Eros heard the glass shatter and Devinity's heart with it. He knew he should do something, yet there was nothing to do.
((WoW! That was short and crappy!))
