I play the flute the person next to me plays piccolo bit painful on the ears sometime o well. If you have problems with high notes the minute you get your braces off (if u have them) u improve also keep your lips loose

Spurple Virginie Hullo, due to lack of school enthusiasm and low input from the middle school, I'm the only Flautist in my band at the moment. Even though I'm marching Picc right now. I just checked out an Open-Holed to practice my song for Solo and Ensemble this year. I'd rather be the only one in the band than one out of twenty, like I am now. Gah. -_-;; And nine of them are in my class. (Except right now, I'm on tenor... there's only two of us! ^^) I hate it. Lots of little sophomore kids. x_x don't complain we have a section of thirteen but we still consider that to be very small epically during marching season we always get chewed out because the director cant hear us ...we were all the way at the back of the field we still got second at the louisiana showcase of marching bands biggrin

Pink_Kiwi_Monster I'm a flutest!! I got nominated to tour Europe with the band.! where do you go? i am going to Euro. 2 but not until spring 2010.

Hey, fellow flutes... how many of you have had to play flute with braces? If you have, do you think you sounded better when you got them off?
I wore mine from 7th grade until near the end of my freshman year in high school, and according to all my directors and teachers, playing with braces helped me improve.

i play fluteand i wuz wondering if there is any songs u guys can recomend that i can play for my moms b-day besides "happy birthday" and "how old r u now" 4laugh

THis is so awsome: Thrusday we had our concert. We had two piccs. AND THEY BOTH WERE IN TUNE. If that isn't the most rare thing ever. It was great.
