Lin chuckled a bit more as she leaned against Earendil, "That's good, I'd be lonely otherwise."
She wasn't sure if she would have figured it out if Earendil hadn't first, but she was sure eventually it would have all caught up to her.

Earendil chuckled and slipped his hand out of Lin's, instead putting his arm around her shoulders and drawing her close.
"Have I told you lately that I love you?" he asked her, eyes gleaming, not at all caring that they were walking down the palace corridor and that they were not alone.

Lin must have become desensitized to all the guards around them, or had just been in Amon Darthir for so long that she didn't seem to notice or care that there were people watching.
"Whenever you get the chance but every time it sounds like you just said it," Lin replied.

Earendil chuckled softly. "Shall I stop, then?" he teased her, wiggling his fingers along her ribs. "Hm?"
He was in a terribly good mood now that she had gotten him out of that meeting with the queen - not that he had minded the meeting, but he had been sitting for hours, and it had begun driving him mad.

"Eep!" Lin jumped at the touch.
She wasn't ticklish by any means, but she did once more don her usual midriffs, so she felt that more than if she had been wearing a normal shirt.
"Earendil!" she nudged him lightly.
Miyuki laughed, she thought her parents were being funny.

Earendil laughed and let go of Lin, slipping ahead of her into the dining hall. He hadn't yet had an opportunity to eat, after all.
"You're going to have to tell me about what you did this morning," he grinned. "Where did you go? Did you talk to anyone interesting? Other than Haldir, I mean, since you did tell me about him."

Lin grinned impishly, "Well we went to visit Aranhil of course."
She said of course, because she figured Earendil wouldn't think much of it. Aranhil had been a close friend of the family for a long time. Besides, what was a visit into the city without visiting Aranhil.
"We talked for a while."

"And how is he doing?" Earendil asked brightly. "I should find some time to go visit him, it's been a long time since I've talked to him. Anything new on his end?"
He led them to the table and sat down, pulling out a chair for Lin and Miyuki as well.

Miyuki clamored up onto the chair and plopped her butt down on the seat. She had already eaten though so everything was catching her attention, since she wasn't focused on food.
Sitting down, Lin thought about it, "He's doing well, as far as I know it's the same as always."

"That's good," Earendil smiled. "I'm just going to have to go visit him sometime. But where else did you stop? It's mid-afternoon already, you must have eaten somewhere - at least, I hope you would have ..."
Since it was very late after all, and he should have eaten earlier too ...

"We stopped by the Autumnglow Inn for lunch, and to talk to your great-grandmother for a while," Lin explained with a grin, "Since it has been so long."
Probably not since Lin finally became an adult she was sure.

Earendil's face flushed as a servant brought some food in for him. "And I haven't been to see them since the last time I went with you," he murmured, quite embarrassed. "That was such a long time ago ... there are so many people that I have to visit. So many things I've forgotten about, so many people I need to see ..."
They could wait though, until Lin had returned to Gaia. He didn't want to have to leave her alone more than he had to, but he didn't want her to feel as if she were being dragged along everywhere, either.

Lin was surprised, she would have thought he would have gone and seen people while she was not around. Then again, she didn't know busy he might have been over the years while she was not there.
"Then you should go see them, especially your great-grandmother."

Earendil smiled faintly. "Yes, I should ... I really should. I'll have to ask Ninako to give me a break sometime, eh?"
He chuckled. "As if a few years isn't enough time."

Lin smiled at that, "You're always doing something though. Your work, traveling..."
Even though it was what they wanted, it did keep them busy.
